Champagnegate has me torn. On one hand, I feel bad for Kelsey losing her moment, but on the other hand, I don't think Hannah Ann purposely took the bottle. Furthermore, I think Kelsey overreacted. I would have felt worse for her if she hadn't snapped at MyKenna a couple minutes earlier. But, Hannah Ann also kinda rubs me the wrong way. Something about her doesn't feel super genuine. But who knows!
I blame the producers for the whole thing. Almost guaranteed that the producers told Hannah Ann that there was a bottle of champagne for her to open and purposely pointed her towards the wrong one. Neither girl handled it well, but the producers really stirred up the drama as much as possible
Well said! I feel the exact same way. Plus I feel like Hannah might've had that other champagne set up for them but saw Kelsey's champagne first. So I think it was an honest mistake (plus the producers just let that happen for extra drama lol)

Bachelor Fantake does such an excellent job of summarizing and analyzing each episode, it becomes completely optional to watch the actual show. Hannah Ann is our Luke P of the season. Mark my words. There just something about her I don't like. I saw it in Luke too. While I understand why Kelsey was upset, she was being way too dramatic about the champagne. I get she felt disrespected, but Peter acknowledged how wronged she felt in that moment and comforted her. It should of ended right there. Keeping the drama going with Hannah Ann over it is all on her.

Hannah Waldrop I think in the episode, Hannah Ann said that the producers had hinted something about a champagne set up that was free to use and they assumed that Kelseys was that set up but the set up that the producers were talking about was actually the one that Kelsey ended up knocking over when she was crying and eventually drank with Peter.

I never thought I’d say this about the bachelor, but is anyone else getting tired of all the kissing??? Like, calm down Peter. It’s a lot. At this point I think he is kissing the women because it’s easier than having a real conversation. Obviously he does like/have a connection with some of the women he’s kissing. However, it seems like he’s just kissing some of them because it’s the easy thing to do. I know I’ve done that on dates before. It’s certainly not a good way to get to know someone. Honestly, I feel like this season is a lot more staged drama heavy, and nothing of actual merit has happened yet. Like conveniently Kelsey’s bottle of champagne gets taken by Peter and Hannah Ann, but magically another bottle appears in a separate area. And somehow it’s a modeling competition, and Hannah Ann, you know the professional model, the only thing of substance in her intro video is that she’s a model, happens to win the modeling competition. This whole episode and season so far have just kinda put me off to the rest of it.

In interviews Chris Harrison has said Hannah Ann was naive about how the Bachelor worked. She was not familiar with it. This tells me that the producers manipulated Hannah Ann to get a lot of the behavior that is irritating so many. We know from interviews with former contestants that producers "suggest" things to contestants, such as breaking in on other people. I think a producer suggested to Hannah Ann that she talk to Peter about the "bullying" Kelsy was doing....wrong choice of word! I think they put that word in her mind to use. I have read that in now time on Instagram Kelsey and Hannah Ann are on ok terms and laughing about champagne gate. They believe it was a setup by production for drama. People can be irritating on this show on their own terms, but I have watched it since 2003, and what I have learned is that production is behind so much of it...certainly making someone's weakness as bad as it can be.
@@clalyrics441 A lot of the guys have said they had never watched a show. They just signed up ...maybe for the adventure? Luke P's sister-in-law signed him up. His aggressive nature was going to get him in to some trouble, but if he had seen the show enough, he might not have let the producers manipulate him as badly as they did. Can we talk about how Kelly was not in this episode at all, and also is not in any of the preview for yesterday. I dint if this means she’s going far or not but I think it’s interesting since she was a front runner night one.
Went back to the part, she’s seen at the rose ceremony and when they’re announcing one of the group dates. I also think I spotted her in the “later this season” preview at the end.
Such a "staged" episode! Are you telling me with all those camera and production people around, no one told Hannah Ann about the champaign and who it belonged to? Give me a break. These ladies are on camera everywhere they go and with everything they say. We experienced Bachelor viewers know all too well this was just another stunt by the producers to create drama. I only wish Kelsey had been smart enough to figure it out and just let it go.
I haven’t finished the episode so you might address. But Peter says in the preview that he won’t let someone leave and he probably talks to his mom and that’s when she says”don’t let her go” and then maybe she does leave and then comes back and that’s why he’s sooo emotionally distraught. And in the part where he said someone’s leaving he’s wearing a different outfit then when he freaks out about “the news” so that’s why I’m thinking leave and come back. He’s distraught at the final rose because he was ready to propose someone but then the girl he loves comes back but he was ready to propose. Now it’s a mess
Tammy reminds me of Dylan. With her reactions and idk just being so genuine and real that it’s adorable. I don’t think she’ll win but fingers crossed for bachelor in paradise
It’s so weird seeing Peter have to navigate through the drama, because during Hannah’s season he hardcore stayed out of all the drama. I really don’t think he has any idea on how to handle it. Kelsey is crazy and needs to go, it’s not cute how she acted and also Hannah Ann is a sociopath.
After week 1 I really felt we had a select few favorites and then after week 2 I have no idea. A pair of Hannah's stealing all the screen time and one of them isn't even on the damn show. We also have a pair of villian's in Kelsey and Natasha, a huge upgrade over last season's Luke P so far. As much as I thought Peter would be a boring Bachelor, the woman are sure making up for it this season. Been enjoying doing recaps so far and looking forward to comparing notes with you each week.
Kelsey and Hannah Ann may make it far, but I don’t honestly think they’ll make it much past halfway.. the reasoning is because they’ve both created drama over a girl fight and each want Peter to side with them.. In these scenarios they usually start with small things and then escalate. Usually multiple girls will stick up for someone who is being bullied when it comes the time for Peter to look into/ask girls about it if necessary.. If that happens, I think Hannah Ann would go home before Kelsey, being that the girls don’t like Hannah Ann as much. However even if that happens, I’m not sure how much farther Kelsey will make it anyway as she was involved in the drama. Usually the finalists aren’t the first favorites or drama causers. The finalists are likely in the notable sidelines this early on. Peter will have multiple emotional goodbyes, and they could be two of them, whether they leave on their own accord or his. There is a lot that can change very quickly. I can’t wait for next week!
There is something I noticed during the revolve group date... At the beginning Lexi was talking about the exact second outfit Victoria F. Wore later on. The coat/ lingerie outfit. And for some reason I feel like the producers were taking that idea from Lexi in order for Victoria to be noticed/ stay longer.

Hannah Ann is our Luke P of the season. Mark my words. There just something about her I don't like. I saw it in Luke too. While I understand why Kelsey was upset, she was being way too dramatic about the champagne. I get she felt disrespected, but Peter acknowledged how wronged she felt in that moment and comforted her. It should of ended right there. Keeping the drama going with Hannah Ann over it is all on her.

Kelsey was overreacting, but I find it hard to believe that Hannah Ann thought that whole setup was for her. And for her to call an argument “bullying”? An adult would know the difference. Like, one person tattles, the other person denies and tattles back, and it leave the lead not knowing what to do, like in Peters case. I really wish they would just leave it alone. Hannah Waldrop I think in the episode, Hannah Ann said that the producers had hinted something about a champagne set up that was free to use and they assumed that Kelseys was that set up but the set up that the producers were talking about was actually the one that Kelsey ended up knocking over when she was crying and eventually drank with Peter.

Honestly, I feel like this season is a lot more staged drama heavy, and nothing of actual merit has happened yet. Like conveniently Kelsey’s bottle of champagne gets taken by Peter and Hannah Ann, but magically another bottle appears in a separate area. And somehow it’s a modeling competition, and Hannah Ann, you know the professional model, the only thing of substance in her intro video is that she’s a model, happens to win the modeling competition. This whole episode and season so far have just kinda put me off to the rest of it.

In interviews Chris Harrison has said Hannah Ann was naive about how the Bachelor worked. She was not familiar with it. This tells me that the producers manipulated Hannah Ann to get a lot of the behavior that is irritating so many.
We know from interviews with former contestants that producers "suggest" things to contestants, such as breaking in on other people. I think a producer suggested to Hannah Ann that she talk to Peter about the "bullying" Kelsy was doing....wrong choice of word! I think they put that word in her mind to use.
I have read that in now time on Instagram Kelsey and Hannah Ann are on ok terms and laughing about champagne gate. They believe it was a setup by production for drama.
People can be irritating on this show on their own terms, but I have watched it since 2003, and what I have learned is that production is behind so much of it...certainly making someone's weakness as bad as it can be.

Such a "staged" episode! Are you telling me with all those camera and production people around, no one told Hannah Ann about the champaign and who it belonged to? Give me a break. These ladies are on camera everywhere they go and with everything they say. We experienced Bachelor viewers know all too well this was just another stunt by the producers to create drama. I only wish Kelsey had been smart enough to figure it out and just let it go.
I haven’t finished the episode so you might address. But Peter says in the preview that he won’t let someone leave and he probably talks to his mom and that’s when she says”don’t let her go” and then maybe she does leave and then comes back and that’s why he’s sooo emotionally distraught. And in the part where he said someone’s leaving he’s wearing a different outfit then when he freaks out about “the news” so that’s why I’m thinking leave and come back. He’s distraught at the final rose because he was ready to propose someone but then the girl he loves comes back but he was ready to propose. Now it’s a mess

After week 1 I really felt we had a select few favorites and then after week 2 I have no idea. A pair of Hannah's stealing all the screen time and one of them isn't even on the damn show. We also have a pair of villian's in Kelsey and Natasha, a huge upgrade over last season's Luke P so far. Kelsey and Hannah Ann may make it far, but I don’t honestly think they’ll make it much past halfway.. the reasoning is because they’ve both created drama over a girl fight and each want Peter to side with them.. In these scenarios they usually start with small things and then escalate. Usually multiple girls will stick up for someone who is being bullied when it comes the time for Peter to look into/ask girls about it if necessary.. If that happens, I think Hannah Ann would go home before Kelsey, being that the girls don’t like Hannah Ann as much. However even if that happens, I’m not sure how much farther Kelsey will make it anyway as she was involved in the drama. Usually the finalists aren’t the first favorites or drama causers. The finalists are likely in the notable sidelines this early on. Peter will have multiple emotional goodbyes, and they could be two of them, whether they leave on their own accord or his. There is a lot that can change very quickly. I can’t wait for next week!

There is something I noticed during the revolve group date... At the beginning Lexi was talking about the exact second outfit Victoria F. Wore later on. The coat/ lingerie outfit. And for some reason I feel like the producers were taking that idea from Lexi in order for Victoria to be noticed/ stay longer.
I was also so confused when Victoria came out wearing that. I wonder what happened...
