    Honestly I’d argue about Blue Star. While yes, when it escapes it’s basically a guarantied day restart. However in a facility with at least one maxed out employee and decent ego gear he won’t even escape in the first place due to his easy to maintain nature.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +262

      You make a fair point with that! While it is easy to keep contained, it's also very easy to accidentally let out, in my experience at least. Specifically on the Binah suppression, when she does her mass meltdown, someone has to go in and take care of Blue Star, and almost always the high level employees would be suppressing her or other escapees, leaving some poor employee to be fed to it to at least remove her counter. Plus, should you have it paired with someone like Nameless Fetus or Army in Black, that's just even more fuel to the fire of an already painful day. Although I definitely agree, Blue Star itself is not hard at all to keep contained, the requirements are pretty lenient, and you have multiple failures before he will actually breach. But man is that escape something else...

      Very true, I remember one of my poor employees walking into the Central Command Department and instantly losing their mind because not only was CENSORED in there with two minions, but it was also in the midst of finishing off a third employee... needless to say, things can get out of hand if you aren’t quick to suppress.

    • @DualBlades

      I could see how that would be a cause to put it into the helpful category for sure. Unfortunately, while I was doing my let's play on here, the gift that it offered was clashing with another gift in the same slot (though thinking about it now I can't actually remember who's gift it was), and so none of my employees except for one actually ever got it haha. I definitely think that the stat boost is worthwhile, and totally think had I done that myself my opinions of The Snow Queen would have been more similar to yours.

    • @markos50100
      @markos50100 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      She requires a whole new way to manage your abnormalities by having you start work with her, and once you get her to 16+ boxes, you intentionally set off the meltdown, so when she goes down from hysteria she will immediately get back up since you already succeeded her work check. And I feel this is intentional as I have yet to notice any other abnormality that has a really lengthy work finish animation with the kiss blow.

      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Funny enough, I was told that during my let’s play here on TH-cam, and for the life of me I could not figure out how to get it down haha. I would always time it so far off that I’d screw myself over and cause a suppression that led to a day reset. The easiest way of handling it in my opinion was given to me by someone watching as well funny enough. Basically you just go through with execution bullets before working and take out a few clerks, then you work like normal and she doesn’t escape since they count as deaths for her total. That was my easiest option anyways, I can definitely see that working for people better at the timing than myself haha.

    Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these - I put Hell Train at Unstoppable, maybe Very Hard, if only because of the mental strain it puts on you having to remember to go there. It CAN help if you time things well with it, but the added mental load it adds just really builds up as you go further and further and a single slipup could wipe out a department.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      I can definitely see Hell Train higher on the list, since you're absolutely right, the mental strain and constant attention you're almost forced to pay it starts to add up the longer you go. Especially if you're unlucky enough to get it early on in a fresh save, where you have no protection against the black damage and the amount of small things piling up makes the tasks feel impossible. All it takes is one slip of the mind and you've suddenly lost an entire department after all. It's quite unforgiving with its rampage.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      I'd forgotten about that haha, I think that might be because I never really had a problem keeping the employees sanity though. I would typically throw it onto someone with very good gear (either the Paradise Lost or Twilight set, sometimes even Blue Star's suit and Censored's weapon combo) so they wouldn't ever really be in danger of losing all of their sanity. Paired with the blessing from Knight of Despair, the downside becomes almost nonexistent.
      Blue Star's ego is also pretty decent, but not enough for me to like the Abnormality any more haha. It's very slow, the range isn't the best, and the SP healing is pretty low at that, not enough to really rely on at least. These are just my opinions on it, I definitely feel like the suit is the better speaking point for Blue Star, the .4 resistances are huge, especially since most other ALEPH gear only has 1 with a .2 and the rest are .5 .

      That's true about the Tree, but I couldn't tell you how many times I got invested into something and lost count of how many times I'd worked, only to turn around and find my employees had been getting sucked in for blessings. Plus, on the final day if Parasite Tree is in your facility, you literally are physically unable to click them to stop the summon once the facility starts to move. I have no idea why, but I tested it out three times while playing on my own and lost employees to it every time. Quite a pain I must say.
      Meat Lantern I remember sucking, he would pop up right before an elevator and an employee would pop through before I could realize and just be melted by it haha. It is what it is, luckily it's not too high of a Danger Rating, so you don't **really** have to work with it, so it's easy to forget about and not have issue with.

    I don't understand how parasite tree is hard. It gives a clear indication on when it uses its ability and then you just find the employee and click on them a couple of times. The only scenario I see where it can be annoying is during the hokma suppression because you have to camp it since you can't pause to find its prey.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It becomes extremely difficult for people like myself who are extremely bad about getting sidetracked and distracted from things haha. Any of the constant attention abnormalities were cruxes for me, WhiteNight was (at first, I learned that lesson VERY quickly), Parasite Tree, Burrowing Heaven, they all seem to just be the one thing I cannot keep up with while playing that game haha. It does have a very easy tell when it's going to murder all your employees, and also when it's summoning, but for me at least it was more a matter of remembering to actually go to it and check the status after assigning works. Especially when I'd give out like 5-15 jobs for the employees to grind out energy. That's just my personal issue with it at least, and one of the main reasons I physically cannot stand to have it in my facilities anymore. It really is probably one of my most lethal abnormalities that I've had, and BlueStar literally wipes out entire departments.

    Heart of aspiration is actually should in helpful category because even though its only features that are adding +10 max hp and +10 attack speed to the wearer, it's only drawback is IF you press to return and wearer haven't attacked anything and wore it for less than 30 seconds then wearer will panic and start a massacre. I mean only player can trigger the drawback.

    • @DualBlades

      That's true! Honestly I just think that the item doesn't really offer any benefits that are worth potentially dying over. It's also annoying in the fact that it can cause deaths in employees if you end the day before the requirements are met. I had several poor souls lost to that little slip-up on several occasions. It is definitely entirely player based for the downside though, unfortunately for me I'm just not good at managing it haha.

    I think that little red riding hooded mercenary is really useful, it practically never escapes and can be payed to eliminate other targets in hard situations so you have less things to take care of. And it is pretty strong for a waw so it can compete to other hard waws that escape.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +50

      I think she definitely has her uses, but the paid suppression (from my experience at least) causes so much collateral damage it almost isn’t worth it. If you have any abnormalities tied to death from employees, they’re almost bound to get out with the amount of damage she does. Plus while she does handle some of the pretty well, a lot of the tougher abnormalities you would want suppressed can easily kill Red before she gets a chance to help, so overall she’s just a bit eh in my opinion. Oh, neat! Won't offer a point by point opinion on all abnos (I mostly agree with ImNotAyin anyway), but here are some comments.
    Big Bird is not actually that bad, the timing on the hypnosis is fairly forgiving and it goes away when you leave the affected department. I think your bad experience is mostly due to Big Bird (as I recall) being stuck to the end of the Records Department in your facility, meaning everybody had to run across a long corridor to get hits in, and then had to retreat the same long way to get away. It's far easier to deal with if you have it in one of the smaller departments where microing away from it is trivial, making it actually a pretty ideal first WAW for the upper layer.
    Doing my boy Blue Star dirty smh. He's very nice for an ALEPH! As long as you have a maxed out guy working him (which you should anyway when working most ALEPHs), he's not going to cause trouble barring exceptional circumstances. Sure, he's annoying in breaches, but who cares when he doesn't really do that anyway.
    CENSORED, on the other hand, _can_ be a pain if it escapes. Sure, it's easy if you have your A-Team there to trash it, but if you ignore it long enough that it can spawn a bunch of its minions, there's trouble. See, both CENSORED and its minions cause Fear Damage (which is a percentile of total SP) independently, and actually count higher as an ALEPH for Fear Damage calculations, meaning even max level agents will take Fear Damage from them (Normally, an ALEPH has a 'Fear Rating' of 5, but CENSORED has 8 and its minions 7, making even level 5 Agents lose 60% SP from CENSORED and 30% SP from each of its minions). Basically, if it gathers a squad of its own, anybody entering the same room as it is just going to go instantly crazy. Execution Bullets are your friend here, as always. I have to give LobCorp kudos for being _the_ best game I've ever played when it comes to being thankful for the ability to kill my own guys for convenience.
    The train is the worst.
    Leatitia is a good girl who hasn't done anything wrong in her life. Putting her anywhere but 'VERY HELPFUL THANK YOU' is a travesty.
    I won't argue the positioning of WhiteNight, but I will comment that unlike the other attention tax abnormalities like Parasite Tree and TRAIN, he's actually way worth it, even if you don't suppress him for his weapon. Paradise Lost with WN in the facility is just _that_ busted.
    Also, good to see You're Bald at its rightful spot :V

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree 100%. A *_lot_* of our trouble was solely from the fact that we had such a long way to enter and leave his area of effect. Either being forced to wait for him to leave, or what usually happened which was the employees run after him to get some damage in as they leave work, and I can't pull them fast enough from the records department before they get _MUNCHED_ into another realm. Curse you structural designers for making these corridors so dang long!
      But he's so unbelievably busted when he gets out :( . I mean the facility-wide clerk lossage is such a day-ender alone, if you have AiB, MoSB, QoH, etc, the clerk massacre can simply force your hand for a restart. I do agree though, for an ALEPH he's not hard to keep contained at all. In fact, you almost have to try and let him out, he's so forgiving and has a pretty solid meltdown counter. Plus the gear is good, that's worth mentioning.
      He's annoying, I entirely agree, but he's one of the few I almost never worried about escaping either. The few times he did we had a few panics when employees entered the room, but even then when we came to suppress they would typically be restored fairly quickly. The Fear damage really is his kicker though, and assured SP percentage just from coming into contact is annoying, to say the least. Especially if he happens to wander into the room as your trying to evade him, or it breaches just as they've finished working and are instantly thrown into a panic. I do agree, the fact that there's a special allotment of murder-tools at my disposal does make it almost fun to kiss goodbye to the trouble makers of the facility haha.
      Why??? Are 50 HP and SP healing **sometimes** not worth the murderous trail left by the train in the form of 100 Black damage?
      Too much Annabelle vibes, 0/10.
      Paradise Lost makes it worth it 100%. The extreme resistances are just too good to pass on, even at the expense of working with him every now and then to keep the counter up, which by the way only take a Good or Common to increase. Though a single lengthy distraction is all it takes for 12 guaranteed deaths and waves of breaches on top of that.
      Truly the scariest force to be reckoned with... I shiver at the thought.

    Admittedly I feel like I would set up this very differently as I find that I weigh abnormalities that escape without constant baby sitting far more than the ones that if they get out you resist. Like blue star I would genuinely put in “happy to have” because it really isn’t that hard to work on. Probably the more extreme one that I feel like Im always happy to have is white night despite being one of the more demanding ones simply because even if I didn’t have to constantly be working on him to prevent a breach, the benefits he brings make me wanna work on him as much as possible. Just by having him in the facility it super buffs his armor and weapon let alone that every good you get on him fully heals everyone in the facility. Someone who I would rate as “I never ever want you” is the train and the queen of hatred for similar reasons. They require constant micromanagement with nowhere near enough benefits to justify how frustrating they are to contain with both having massive aoe horizontal attacks. And unlike white night who has a lot of wiggle room for errors those two all it takes is one slip up and a bunch of your agents are dead

    Monk is very annoying, because every time *anything* bad happens - clerks will die, and monk will escape like you don't have anything else to distract you from boredom. He's fine on his own, but he always escapes at the least convenient moment imagineable to make things worse. Like - somebody escapes => kills clerks => monk escapes => kills more clerks and releases more abnormalities => now you have a really bad time. Also if there is QoH in your facility along with the monk... Good luck keeping both at bay, because if one escapes - another one will as well

      Maybe I'm just very good at making sure I know where it is, but since Don't Touch Me is always immune to meltdowns (because interacting with it just ends the day), having it around is actually great for the endgame because it can eat meltdowns same as We Can Change Anything. Having less shit to worry about during the last 5 days is a godsend.
      Additionally, if you have WhiteNight in your facility for endgame, everything going to shit usually involves WN escaping and WN disables the main menu, meaning you can't restart (and have to wait for the 12th apostle to amble their way up to One Sin)- Hey, good news, pressing the button means you can start over right away! It's also a quick and easy way to let everything out for the Red Mist Battle Royale, though the shelter's obviously better at that.

    Your standards for this list were super weird. For some of the abnormalities, you ranked them based off of the assumption that you already have S tier gear and employees. But for others, you took into account where the player might actually be in terms of facility strength. I think that probably skewed the rankings a bit.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      I’d agree, but honestly this list wasn’t for super accurate ratings to begin with, it was mainly done just for fun because I wanted to haha. I’d say if there was an all encompassing “standard” for rating them, it’d be with the mindset of “how much or how little do I want you in my facility in general”.
      I definitely agree that the changing factors between some abnormalities could have caused some skewed results, but then again if it’s in terms of how much or how little I want them around, I’d say it’s pretty spot on. In my opinion at least, at the end of the day that’s the great part about tier-list videos, you get to see everyone’s input on the same thing you did.

    I consider Big Bird to be one of the more negligible waw abnos because of how exploitable it is, but it's ability to get out when too many clerks die has the annoying side effect of locking you out of one department while having to clear out every other danger.
    How Big Bird works: When he does his little jingle, somebody within the blackout department will be marked. If they are marked and in front of the bird, they will die. If they leave the department the bird is causing a blackout in, they will lose the mark and be safe. If they stay too long, they'll be forced to walk toward birdbrain and kill themself.
    How to totally own Bird Boy: Send your warriors in to fight him, when he jingles quickly pause, see who is marked, grab them and send them to any other department, put them back in the bird's department. Next time he jingles, he'll mark the same guy who just re-entered. Repeat this proccess. Obviously this is rough to do with a chaotic facility, so you simply leave the bird for last and avoid the blackout areas when possible.

      Nothing fills me with more joy than reading an entire explanation on how to absolutely decimate one of my least favorite abnormalities.
      That sounds like an extremely easy way to handle it, though I was under the impression that the mark lasted even after they reentered, leaving most of my team out of the fray for the duration of the fight once they got marked. Though I also had a large issue with Big Bird always choosing to mark the employee in the process of meleeing him at close range and would get an insta-kill off on them, which was an immense pain. This does make me excited to get him again though, to try this out and see whether or not things are easier than they were haha.

No matter how many times you tell yourself to send someone get a ticket, you will eventually forget about it and eat a train to the face at the worst possible time. I had to hire a 1LOB rookie and station them right next to the train just to avoid constant disaster, and even then it's not a surefire way to deal with it, because ordeals can mess him up just when your entire staff is busy containing some unspeakable horror miles away.

      I think that my biggest issue with him (that likely skewed my rating but it is what is it) was the fact that I got him in the very end of the Architecture team my one and only time having it in my facility. All of my employees would run down the hallway to attack him, and by the time they got there they'd be enchanted and unable to leave. I'd then wait for him to come out, but just as he'd enter the new area he'd do his possession again, eating all my employees... it was quite the grueling time when it got out.
      I agree, most of my reasoning for Blue Star came from all the things that could let it out rather than actually doing it on your own. Binah's Meltdowns caused issue, Nameless Fetus caused issues, AiB caused issues (as much as I like the Abnormality, it still was annoying here and there haha). All of these things together would work against me in letting it out, and once it did there really wasn't much that could be done. Granted a lot of these were worst case scenarios, but things happen that you can't really account for. Unlike say Nothing There and Melting Love, Blue Star really has the capacity to wipe the entirety of a facility, rather than a department or two. Just my two cents.
      I really liked the Justice from 1.76, like a whole lot. I still think my personal favorite Justice Trainer was Der Freischutz, just because he's pretty easy to get early on, and has little to no requirements that can't be easily beaten. Overall just a very good Trainer, though I agree, very early into a new game I'd definitely go for 1.76 as early as I could just for the bit of extra preparedness for the long run.

      The other trick about Big Bird is that its possession fades when a marked employee leaves the department it’s in. Now, this makes them into a PATHETICALLY easy suppression since they have no other way to damage employees. Even during Hod’s suppression, which was on the day I got it, I noticed its pathetic inability to do harm to anything but clerks in an instant, when I panicked as one of my employees got marked and had them make a mad dash from Chesed’s area to Tiphereth’s department. Fighting him on the corner of two departments and diving between them when he tries to entrance anyone makes him impossibly easy to suppress, as he basically only becomes an HP sponge.
      The final managerial tip even tells you that his mark fades if its target leaves the area Big Bird is in. Sure, it’s gonna kill all the clerks of the department it broke out in, but beyond that, it can’t do much more damage alone. Key word being alone. Its ability to force you to drop everything else makes suppressing anything else into a massive pain.
      Big bird, on this scale, places as a major annoyance for me.

    If you added in some kind of "Always insta-grab" tier, I'd happily put the Backwards Clock in there for one reason. It can cheese Binah's suppression with the pillar meltdown.
    Though I think Black Swan should be in Just annoying tier at most. It works differently than most abnos, with how rather than having a Qlipoth counter of 5, it has 5 "Switches" that must be flipped. Each brother has a specific trigger, and when that happens, it ticks down, but then won't tick down if you trigger it again. So you need to trigger ALL 5 of it's requirements or else it won't ever escape(ignoring stuff like Red clowns that can manually let it escape). That means you need to, in a single day, get a bad work result, get a normal world result, let 5 clerks/workers panic, 5 more die, and also let 3 abnos escape. Not only are two of those impossible to get if you just don't work on it, even if you do I rarely ever find a day where it gets both a normal and bad work result. At worst, it ends up with only 1 counter, which then just becomes "Don't work on it, and keep someone nearby to stop red clowns" and it can't really do anything.
    I'm surprised to see someone else agree with me on Little Red though. I genuinely can not think of a single time where her bounty feature was useful in any form, since the cost is way too high for anything weak, but anything high level will either kill her easily, or she can barely even scratch. She really messed with all my attempts to clear Gebura's missions, and even in late game with a guard with .5 red resist right outside her door, she would regularly nearly kill them and require me to use 3+ red shield bullets on the tank while everyone blasted her from behind. 30 damage to your units might be a lot, but 30 damage to abnos with several thousand HP is nothing...
    Same with Nothing There. I put Alephs into two categories, "Sleeping" and "Hostile". Sleeping Alephs are ones where they basically do nothing if well managed like Blue Star, but on escape are a day-reset, while Hostile you need to be constantly checking up on them all the time like Mountain of Smiling bodies or Army in Black. Nothing There is the epitome of Sleeping. If you have the workers to regularly keep him happy, then he is basically not a factor, but if he escapes, you better pray you either are seconds from finishing or have Backwards Clock. Which pretty much boils down to two factors. Do you have a good red resist Ego, and do you have a worker with 5 in Temperance, Fortitude, and Prudence? If yes, then he barely matters, if no, he is an utter nightmare.
    I ran into the same issue with Void Dream, though I think I found a solution. For some reason it only let me wake up those perma-sleeping workers after I wake up all clerks that have been put to sleep. It doesn't exactly "solve" the problem, since you still need to locate all the sleeping clerks first, but it at least helped me avoid a day reset or two.
    Though I'd still push Flesh Idol down to Take the Day off. Not dealing with a qlipoth meltdown costs you 20 energy per cell that meltsdown. So assuming you are able to get every single other meltdown in time, that only puts you "behind schedual" like 1-2 work periods. I really can't think of any time in my facility where one work period's work of energy was the make or break. Flesh Idol is useful in some niche situations, and at worst it is a mostly free ignore.

    Right now i need to pick between queen of hatred, red shoes, and parasite tree.
    So far none of my chosen abs can breach (i do have the woodsman, but as long as i dont bother him when he is having an existential crisis i should be fine)
    Those three choices however can all breach, I also don't have a WAW class yet.
    What would you do? @dualblades
    I feel like picking the shoes here is the cowards way out, and i'd love to get some WAW gear.
    I also learned of a trick for queenie, apparently, if you trigger meltdown mid therapy session, (ideally once you already got 16 PEs), that work session can itself increase the counter back to 2. (I have a guy with 5-temperance, as a result of the intense PE farming i sent him to do with the woodsman)
    I think imma go with queenie, but do you think this is a mistake?

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an interesting choice you've been given for sure! My first question would definitely be what day are you on, and whether it's your first time playing the game. I think if I were in your position, and was starting a brand new file without any gear past HE, my choice would be Queen of Hatred. The reason I ask is because there really is a severe difficulty spike with Queen of Hatred if it's the first major breaching abnormality you see, which might make things difficult for you. Having good gear alleviates a lot of the pain, but even with a lot of my departments decked out in top tier gear, an escape from her led to a *LOT* of deaths, and almost always a reset. The Red Shoes are extremely easy to manage, they have a decent HE gear with them as well, and I wouldn't call it a cowards way out at all if you're just getting into things! Hell even if it's not your first time, Shoes are an easy choice for a easy progression forward. Parasite Tree is just annoying overall. I had a harder run of things with it just since it's pretty easy for me to get distracted by other things in this game, so it's counter slips my mind and next thing I know I've got a hoard of tree people wanting to know why I abandoned them...
      I have actually heard of that trick, and it's a whole lot harder to actually pull off than it sounds. At least that was the case when I tried it out, unless you're just about to finish, the work still gets the penalty applied midway through. You could be doing great and be halfway to perfect, change to the meltdown, and suddenly only receive bad results from then forward. I'd still say go for it though, might've just been a case of bad luck on my end haha. If you want my advice, if you've unlocked the execution bullets, the easiest thing to do is use a few of them to pick off some of the clerks between meltdowns, since they still count towards her death total! Super easy, made my life SO much easier when I was told about it.
      tldr: I wouldn't say it's a mistake at all. I think it's the best option if you really want to step into the pain that is Lobotomy (and also get a firsthand look into why she is my number one most hated abnormality). Gear from her is excellent, making a lot of lower level suppressions a joke, and also is an easy source of Pale damage early on!
      Best of luck on your facility! Hopefully it all works out for you, and thanks for asking! Glad I could share some (hopefully) helpful advice for you! Have a fantastic rest of your day!

    I have to say, I just started playing recently and don’t know a whole lot about all the abnorms. But the Mirror was SO helpful. I managed to get it as the 4th pick in the Information team so I could start jumping stats around, made it really easy to get at least 3 employees to Tier V stats. 10/10 would recommend early game. Even late game it’s nice for new employees if you need to jostle around stats a bit.

      Well first I’d like to say welcome to the fantastic universe that Project Moon has created! I think you’re in for a good time with the game (and the sequel too should you choose to play it)! I think I didn’t get the mirror until my second play-through, and I’m not going to tell you why it became less important because I am not sure how far in you are / what you do and don’t know, but at that point I’d already acquired something that made it trivialized. I can totally see it being a huge help though, especially on a brand new first save file. Some stats are just so hard to train, namely justice and temperance, so having the ability to grind up your fortitude to crazy levels and then swap it for Justice is insanely good. Late game I’m a little less on the Mirror train, but that’s only because by then all it takes for a stat to go up is heavy investment into training that employee with an abnormality for the day and you’re fine. Just my opinion though.

    Got up to day 39 on my first serious run. Slowly painted myself into a corner. So many abnormals that were wth until figured out and then turned ez. The button. Schaudenfrad. Singing Machine. Crumbling armor. Others. First real pain was Parasite Tree. Every fifth interaction had to be with it. Used one person. Major wth moment when I picked Melting Love. Discovered if I sent in a newbie during meltdown they went insane and i would smack some sense in them and they weren't infected. Next major wth moment was the damn train. It got a place in my cycle of five interactions along with Parasite Tree. At this point I realized I had a shortage of high level employees. Only about 10. I kept ending the day before the dawn ordeal. Next came Queen of Hatred was beginning of the end. Didn't have execute bullets. Tried to interact with it when it was changing was 50/50. Final nail in the coffin was Big Bird when I already had Punishing Bird and Judgement Bird. Could never get to day 40, and started over at day 1. If Queen of Hatred didn't cause a restart, Big Bird did when it caused the forest event.

So when it comes to fighting meltdown on the Aleph you REALLY want to keep in, every % is invaluable. Also better rate nets you on average more energy, so that's cool

    There *IS* a downside to Beviour Adjustment, actually there are multiple downsides
    If the employee's SP hits 0 they will die
    If ordered to return the tool within the 30 seconds of having it on someone they will panic (just like with Heart Of Aspiration)
    And also it decreases the Prudence (SP) by 10

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The SP hitting zero is the only true downside I'd say is worth mentioning in my opinion, since the less than 30 seconds would only be a consequence if it gave a negative affliction to the user, like the cross or the Heart of Aspiration, where you actually have to DO something before returning it. I never had any employees die while using it either, but I also almost always had it on someone with the Da Capo gear so it wasn't possible to meet that requirement anyways haha.

    My opinion - Blue Star isn't that bad. That's why: it will be unstoppable only if it escapes. It has Qliphoth counter of 2 and you can't easily lower it - if you'll just send level 5 workers on meltdown - everything will be fine. You just must watch other things, that might lead to It's escape, like Red Ordeals and meltdowns. And that's it. Blue Star is very hard in supression, but fairly easy in contaiment - just send to work only employees with level 5 Wisdom and level 3 Temperance. Even EGO is great, all of it - weapon, suit and gift.
    Anyway, thank you for this video mate - i'm only starting to play Lobotomy and IT'S really helpful. Great work!

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's true! Blue Star gives very good gear for your trouble, and the movement speed alone from the gift makes that worth getting as well. The big issue I have is just all the small things that can let it out, the ordeals can make it a hassle, the meltdowns as well depending on if you even have an employee available. It's all just adding to how annoying it is, and when it does finally breach it's a nightmare. Almost every clerk will die, so you lose the benefits of your departments, you're bound to lose any low level employees, especially those who might have weaknesses to white damage in their gear. Just very, very, VERY annoying haha.

    Just a question, where would you put The Red Mist and An Arbiter? And the different entities of the ordeals?

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a great question! So I would definitely say that between the two, An Arbiter is infinitely harder than The Red Mist. There are a couple main reasons for that, but just to set the mindset going in, The Red Mist is actually really easy if you've got the right stuff.
      I'll start off with The Red Mist. Overall I'd definitely say she's a pretty difficult encounter in the game, but at the same time, she's not nearly as hard as some of the other mini-bosses that you have to face. The main reason for this is definitely the point in your playthrough that you'd encounter her. Unlike An Arbiter, The Red Mist is fought relatively early in the game, being the (potentially) fifth Sephirah you encounter, and then the 5th meltdown you try and undertake. The main difficulty with her is the sheer amount of power she has in her attacks, ill-equipped employees suffer instantly and can be taken out in a swift 5 minutes into the day. I think what makes her so easy though is just the sheer amount of ways to cheese her fight. All it takes are two abnormalities for a guaranteed victory. Shelter From the 27th of March, and Blue Star. By sending in a single employee for the day of the meltdown, and making filler employees man the stations of the other departments, you can send the solo into the shelter, release Blue Star, and have dinner while it does all the work for you. That's what I did the first time I had the fight, and that was before even realizing that it was a strategy haha. That's just one of many too, basically, all it requires is some means of easily releasing a high damage, high durability abno, and you've basically got it all settled in the end. If we're going by this, I think I'd put her into the difficult but manageable tier. It's an annoying setup you either had to have known going in, or have gotten lucky by picking the correct abnormalities for, but it makes the fight a joke. However, if you go by the way it's intended to be, I'd definitely move her up to Really Hard. She packs a punch and completely obliterated my strongest employee in a single swing (I definitely recommend checking out the Gebura Suppression video, it's actually pretty funny), and her movement around the facility makes it a pain in the ass to track down and finish her. Overall that's my opinion on The Red Mist.
      When it comes to An Arbiter, however, the only real category that I see fits is Unstoppable. I am not lying when I say that her fight might be the second hardest in the game, potentially even the first depending on how White Night is feeling at the time. The meltdowns, the impenetrable armor, the pillars across entire corridors and departments, I lost so many employees the first few times I truly thought I'd have to wait until the very end of the game when I had god-tier weapons and armor to even stand a chance. Not to mention the fact that you not only have to fight her normally the first time, but
      **SPOILERS AHEAD**
      You have to do the entire fight A SECOND TIME WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO PAUSE ON DAY 49. Taking an already difficult fight and making it truly impossible. The only reason I walked away with a win was because she got stuck in a door frame and I had an employee who was able to finish her off while she was there. Literally.
      **SPOILER ENDS**
      If there is ever a fight I'd be fine never doing again, it'd be An Arbiter. One of my single most hated suppressions to date.
      For the ordeals, they weren't all that bad once you figured out the gimmick. I think all of Amber are annoying at best just because they jump around the facility, and midnight has the ability to instant kill. Violet is slightly annoying but honestly, I think it has the easiest midnight of the bunch so long as you are paying attention to everything you need to be. Green has the hardest midnight because of the maneuvering you have to do, and the close proximity damage is a pain as well for most melee offensive employees. The White Ordeals also weren't really bad at all. The Claw was the most challenging I'd say, but even then it wasn't BAD. It was just slightly above annoying because of the teleporting. Honestly, the White damaging one was the hardest because of the damage reflection, and even then it's simply a matter of paying attention to what's happening.
      Sorry for the lengthy response! But I wanted to make sure I gave an in-depth response talking about everything rather than just ranking them and moving on haha. Hopefully, this answered well enough!

      I mean for me melting love is very easy to contain. I always put an agent by itself under an abnormality when learning about a new one so I can work with it quickly. Then once I figured out that it spreads I just executed every clerk in the department, as it hadn't spread very far due to that agent being in the hallyway and the only one in the department at the time (that part was just a bit of luck). After I got everything I wanted from her, I just always did repression work with her whenever there was a meltdown or I otherwise had to work with her so her gift didn't stick. And that was that, easy ALEPH.

It's difficult if you're like, new to the game/on a new save file, but I found once I had the gear it just, stopped giving me problems, even on the odd occasion that it DID escape (one I didn't even notice it'd breached until it was halfway dead because it was in an empty department and with my employee that had its gear and he was just, casually tanking all its damage. Also I totally agree with Nothing There for the most part, except for his evolved mega-fuck form. In which case, I would like no part and would rather reset the day haha. This is true, my biggest qualm with it is just the fact that you can have your employees lose the power to perform Attachment should you get the gift, which you almost always will slip up at least once when assigning someone to work it. Which then puts them at high risk of death for future assignments. The weapon is fine, Pale early on is always helpful, but it’s quickly out classes by a lot of other early game weapons in my opinion. Especially since it’s melee. He's relatively easy to suppress if you pay attention to him and kite his attacks though is a bit more of a pain when multiple breaches have occurred and you have to divert attention from him
    Keeping track of him from time to time can help out with this however as he is slow [unless something like burrowing heaven got out and spawned departments away from him, but what are the chances]
    You're correct about the ordeal of having to work with him however, though you should be good with a Level 5 employee + a gear that is weak [1.5 res] to Pale damage [Level 4 employee if you don't mind restarting the day after they die]

      It's actually kinda funny, I think that MoSB is one of the easier ALEPHs to actually suppress in general, even in its upper stages. I've never had any issues with his later stages, but that may just be a matter of gear and my approach to handling it. I think the best way to go about things is just to sick some high gear / level employees on him, divide the group in half, wait till the first group gets low and switch with group 2, repeat until it dies. That's my strategy at least. I definitely agree about it being annoying however. Army In black should be higher, due to its suppression mechanics it’s harder to suppress if you don’t grind/have completed the hod suppression, since employees of lower levels will just go crazy when they see it and since it spawns randomly in the facility it fucks everything up.
    Big bird should be in just annoying, it’s one of the easiest Suppressions, 5 employees with decent ego sets can defeat it before it becomes an actual issue and it doesn’t deal any damage outside its instakill, but the insta is so easy to avoid it isn’t an issue, also, big bird is really easy to maintain in its cage, having a good work result is easy with a high level employee and you’re good to go.

I also got Blue Star the day right after her, but I actually think he's one of the easiest Aleph's to deal with simply because all it takes to keep him in is stats, and as long as you have those stats, it's basically impossible for his Qliphoth Counter to go down without outside interference. I will agree though that if Blue Star ever gets out, that's like an instant day reset because unless your employees are all maxed you're guaranteed to lose people, but to me personally, if something got even like 1/10th as bad as Blue Star breaching that's an auto restart, so he's really just overkill. He might be my favorite Aleph (so far, at least) purely because even on a fresh run, with barely any missions done, I still never had Blue Star escape under any circumstance that didn't have to do with forgetting an employee in Flesh Idol or Shelter from March (which may or may not have caused me to spend 12 hours trying to complete a single day). This may just be because of my mindset plus getting Red Hood so that I vastly prefer never having things escape vs being easy to contain whenever they DO escape (and certainly, it seems like some of these abnormalities WILL escape no matter what you try)

    Don't Touch Me can be annoying, but if you use the management screen to see where it is and remember its position, it'll just sit there and do nothing.
    I like it because it's a free slot. Doesn't do anything as long as you remember to totally leave it alone.

      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, yes and no. For me personally, Don’t Touch Me caused more resets than any of my other abnormalities at one point. Mostly because of the horrible combo of Plague Doctor’s switches, as well as the fact that I’d get thrown off by the appearance changes. Ultimately for me this is a do not take ever. Even if it is a minimal work abno, it always finds a way to cause me issue haha.

    Behavior adjustment deserves the very helpful thank you tier, but there are down sides to it:
    Reduced prudence, kills the employee if given back within 30 seconds or the employee runs out of SP
    Also, if you click on the button to look at info for don't touch me, everything gets breached
    If you click on it in the preperation screen, it crashes the game lol
    If someone is pulled in and dies from grave of cherry blossoms, the next time you work with it will heal everyone's HP and SP

    Big bird is hard
    be me who restarts a day pretty much any time any one who is not like a fresh newbie dies and has several departments full of level V employees and I can wipe big bird out pretty quickly and easily with no casualties,
    I have a little bit of an advantage tho, since Big bird is at the very bottom of my facility so I have the chance to get everyone grouped up at the top to be ready to deal with him, and it also gives me time to deal with any other escapees/threats while he slowly lumbers his way up from central command
    The easiest way to deal with him i have found is have everyone your fighting with grouped up in elevators and wait for him to lumber over, or if you see him going to the other side use one of the other safe departments to cross over to the other side to intercept him, jump in , beat the shit out of him and when you see him shake his lantern send EVERYONE up to one of the non blacked out departments via the elevator, this will cancel out the lure if they are effected, once they leave the blacked out area go back down and wail on him again rinse and repeat and you can do it in no time depending on how many beefed up employees you have
    the problem comes from when Hatred gets out as well and I forget about him dealing with her

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think Big Bird might be my least favorite abnormality in the game to suppress. Compared to the rest, it's just on an entirely separate level than anything else, sure QoH is a pain to handle, but she can't do a little shake of a lantern and insta-kill employees. That being said, I still hate that goddamn abnormality haha. Still is and forever will be my least favorite abnormality in general.
      I was in a very similar situation to you, except I had the unfortunate circumstances of having Big Bird at the end of the hallway in the Architecture department, along with having several death-releasing abnos in the facility at the same time. Basically, I would have to wait for it to wipe my entire architecture department, release another two abnormalities in the process, and then multitask suppressing it as well as the other crisis entering my day. The worst part is that every time without fail it would manage to decapitate one of my employees while I was distracted handling someone like MoSB or QoH... what a real pain.

  • @RandomPotato106

    Blue Star might be the most difficult Aleph from a beginner perspective, its the worst abnormality to get when you are playing for the first time and you get that one in Netzach or Hod's facility (speaking from true experience) because unlike mountain of smiling bodies or orchestra, even if one Qlipoth counter goes down, they will not breach and at least if the work was bad and even killed the employee, you can at least have a little bit of points to check 1 work result and then reset to try again or you just know now that it wasn't the correct work to use. Blue Star however, if you don't know what it wants in terms of stats, you are going to sacrifice employees for no energy to use in trying to figure out what it wants until you get to guess which stats are favorable to use to work with it to then know at least something or you just check the wiki for it.

  • @aegisScale
    @aegisScale ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Another point of pain for big bird: as someone who did a solo agent run found out, Big Bird can instakill someone if they pass by the bird (as in you move someone somewhere past the bird) *_before_* the possession fully takes effect. So if Big Bird picks a target, that target gets thoroughly zoned out from wherever Big Bird decides to wander. Oh and if its possession target is within biting distance, RIP bozo.

But once I completed several painful days, I managed to get a murdertool, and then it was fine, I guess? Still very hard to contain tho

  • @goldensp3038
    @goldensp3038 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    I think it's actually unfair to put black army in thankful, because his main problem is that it's more annoying smiling bodies. If set number of your clercs die from non bullet cause it gets out, so it means it gets out with any global affect abnormality, it has conflicting synergy with queen of hatred that also is global attack, it screws with midnight ordeals and with suppressions with 46-49 days. And it's more annoying than smiling bodies, since you can quick supress it on one spot and all it doesn is killing while army in black lowers counter. Please do not consider abnormalities primally on the end game situations.
    Edit: it was long since I played the game and I remember that you basically don't have to deal with it while it's protecting you as I remember but still. On small note to comparison with Smiling bodies, in game you tend to forget about abnormalities and Smiling bodies is easier than Army in Black in that SB has animations for every meter that you can notice with a side of you eye while AiB doesn't. AiB is what you hate to see escape when any larger treat has escaped and like SB it does it often.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I can definitely see where you’re coming from with your point of view on Army in Black. It does become a bit tedious to manage the amount of deaths that occur across the facility, especially in situations like ordeals where the Clerks are almost guaranteed to die on the spot to whatever comes their way. However I still think I’d rank it as very helpful. From my personal experience with it, both on the TH-cam let’s play, as well as another play through I did separate of recording, it still feels like a very beneficial abnormality to keep around. The breaching effect that it has where it lowers counters is annoying don’t get me wrong, but that’s really the only true negative in its case. It’s not hard to suppress at all, and if you’re employees are all in the corresponding facilities (which they typically will be due to the unpredictable times it breaches) it’s not hard to pummel them into the ground before it explodes, and even if they weren’t, which did happen to me a few times, you prioritize which counters you absolutely cannot let go down and take that soldier out first. These are all just my opinions on it, I can definitely see how it might be an issue to some people, but I’m ranking it based off my various experiences, and I really can’t say it’s all that bad.

    personally the only things i would change is to put Red Ridding Hood in VERY HELPFUL, THANK YOU. and Queen of Hatred in Dificult but manageble, i will say all the hat that she gets is just salty noobs who restarted after her first escape, never had any problems with Queen of Hatred except when i was new and was "HEhe, Magic girl goes BRRR"

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The sad truth is I'm still one of those salty noobs even with almost 200 hours in the game. I just HATE the mechanic. A lot. Plus when she escapes she just vaporizes all your employees and then teleports off to the far reaches of the facility to torch more poor clerks. I can definitely see Red being in VERY HELPFUL, THANK YOU, but also not at the same time. She's extremely useful early game when you haven't got much gear, but she's also a liability in the fact that she deals such high damage to whatever gets in her path. When you call on her, you basically have to hope you can keep employees out of reach, as well as keep the breaching abnormality in a centralized location to be dealt with. Just feels like a lot for so little personally.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To answer simply, I honestly don’t have one particular favorite. I think I have two for two different reasons. If we’re talking style wise, then I’d say Silent Orchestra. The music and screen effects are very cool, and I also think that the actual design of the abno is great. I also really like WhiteNight though. It’s probably the hardest fight in the game, which makes it so rewarding to actually finish. I think that the countdown clock is cool too, with the apostles being added to the wheel.
      Between the two, I honestly don’t have one favorite. They both are high on my list for different reasons.

    • @DualBlades
      @DualBlades  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He doesn't actually instantly kill! According to the Wiki (and I just double checked in game) when an employee with level 3 or above finishes work it lowers his Qliphoth to zero and lets him out, but they don't die immediately. They can still leave and fight against him, but the stat only reduces the Qliphoth. I had completely forgotten about him doing that haha, thanks for reminding me!

    Having a Theresia + Censored combo in a department or in neighboring department can allow you to have a 100% rate of success on Censored if you just send one guy for 20 seconds in Theresia every time you send someone from the department to work with Censored.
