    Just watched this again. The smoky score really fits this video. Hats off to the musician and video producer. Loved the exit ramp reverb effect. That was cool. The photography's awesome. The cloud-lit Manhattan skyline is pure poetry.

    Wow Peter. You get the best approaches into LGA. At 17:50, that beacon atop the new Vanderbilt Tower on 42nd Street is very prominent and lines up with the lit crown of the Chrysler Building! So many Lego buildings built the past ten to fifteen years.

      @@PeterMasella I used to love flying into LaGuardia but prefer the Hudson River visual into 22 when I lived there. Got some great aerial pictures of the city before the Billionaire’s Row Lego buildings were constructed and great views of the old twin towers. Nothing like flying into D.C. 19 down the Potomac and up The Hudson with best skyline or top ten in the world. Thanks Peter! Happy travels. That other production of yours flying in from the West over Jersey and Manhattan at 10k was clear and great with descend into JFK over ocean in your step down into either 4 or 22 JFK or that outer shortest runway at approximately 8,500 feet. I haven’t flown into the renovated LGA but also enjoyed seeing it through you as I remember the old terminals from 1980-1990’s and resembling an outdated hybrid of an old forlorn mall and the Port Authority 😀😅😂which I remember the “new” remodelling in 1977-78. I appreciate your professionalism! Happy trails in the sky!

    Regardless of which approach you take to LGA, you just can't lose! The views are fantastic all the way around. At 7:46, approaching College Point, I assume that was the Throgs Neck Bridge? The Whitestone was under the plane? Thanks for this unique approach.

    Wow, Manhattan is so beautiful at night! Question: is the "Milton 4" arrival unique to LaGuardia or does it apply to JFK, too? When I flew to NYC from Seattle, the approach was over Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and Manhattan was on the left (where I was sitting), then we turned south & east, etc., and I saw JKF to the left and so on...so just wondering if that's also "Milton" or if it's different for JFK. Also, I always appreciate your adding the ATC and pilot communication. I got to enjoy it in real life last week! I'm lucky to have a friend whose husband is both an airline and a private pilot and owns his own small plane. He took me on a flight, so I got to listen to him and ATC...quite thrilling to wear the headphones and hear "cleared for take off/to land," etc....plus, sit next to the pilot! (I even got to fly the Beechcraft myself for a few minutes!!!)

      JFK has separate arrival procedures from LGA. Sounds like you flew on the LENDY arrival to JFK! This one: th-cam.com/video/5zRzHiG44Yw/w-d-xo.html

    How can you find the flight plan for commercial flights

    • @dare-er7sw
      @dare-er7sw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are standard. The approach and departure charts must be online.

    If you take a swig of booze every time this guy says "Boy, I sure am glad I'm on the left side of the plane" - you'll die of alcohol poisoning.

    Habe you ever flown a plane or used Microsoft Flight Sim?

    • @PeterMasella
      @PeterMasella  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I put my hands on the controls once or twice with a real pilot next to me on private planes and I think the last time I flew Microsoft Flight Simulator was in the 90s!

    Aviation didn't exist about 120 years ago. It's a modern marvel. Also, a 4K camera would have been better. Your current camera fails to capture all the lights and the resulting details ofat night.
