    A little sarcasm here...ok, a lot: Exposing Muslims' hypocrisy and inconsistencies with respect to the Bart Ehrman/corruption phenomenon.
    “How about working on the Koran?” Ehrman’s answer: “When I stop valuing my life, that’s what I’ll do.”

      *Masroor Ahmad Azmi* If Allah didn't sound like such an imbecile in the Quran, you might have a point, but he has no power over anyone at all. Can you show us a single truthful revelation in your Quran? Just one, and that's about as low as the bar can be set,

    Whenever Muslims bring up Bart Ehrman to me I remind them that they put their faith in the words of a man who:
    1. Is an Atheist.
    2. Does not believe in Jesus or any of the Prophets.
    3. Never converted to Islam because he doesn't believe in Islam or Muhammad or al-Lah either.
    4. Said that the only reason he does not criticize Islam is because he values his life, (meaning he knows Muslims would want to kill him).
    5. He makes money from Atheists and Muslims to criticize Christ and Christianity and the Bible.
    6. Muslims are supposed to respect Jesus as the Christ and the Prophets and Bart Ehrman doesn't.
    7. Islam teaches that "People of the Book" are above Atheists in respect.
    That usually results in the Muslim never responding back. Hopefully, they'll give what I commented some thought. But who knows. I wonder if anything I say, has any affect on them or if they ponder what I have said.

    Ok, now I've listened to this video, and I wonder if you're familiar with Dr. Daniel Wallace, probably our leading Greek scholar? He does a fine job unraveling Bart's claims, and I know they've debated each other at least twice, maybe three times. Wallace's scholarly unfurling of Bart's intentional deception and misunderstanding is very interesting. Then, when you hear from Bart's own mouth that he won't write a book criticizing Islam because he values his life too much, just shows his true intent. Atheists and Muslims have made Bart a wealthy man, and that just isn't a very solid recommendation in my world. It certainly isn't that the Christian world is without PhDs, so what will Bart offer to truth-seekers?
    Thanks for your effort in putting Bart in perspective. I love when Muslims try to quote Ehrman to me. Too bad they're totally devoid of cognitive consistency!

      On of my biggest issues with Ehrman is on the differences in the Gospel narratives. He does NOT allow for the biographers to shape the narrative, to place content where they want to make a point, to compress and expand the narrative timeline, even to modify what we would consider significant details....these are all things that biographers were doing at that time, and it's fascinating to see how they do this. Ehrman doesn't accept this method, he wants dry, stoic narratives. This just isn't they way it worked in that day. The Gospel writers brought the narratives to life in their own way.
      This is true even more so in the Old Testament. History is "theolegized". I just made that up. History is told with a theological twist to it.
      To reject these writings as unhistorical because the literary methods differ is to be foolish, engaging in anachronistic snobbery.

    • @FreeRadical7118
      @FreeRadical7118 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      *Islam Critiqued* Bart seems to think that the translators should also reflect "inspiration". Mankind has done the best they could, but that doesn't make them inspired, they're simply presenting the best effort, based on MSS availability. With all its clunky language, the KJV was a gift to the 15th century people, but it was not inspired, other than God galvanizing men to produce an understandable Bible for its time.
      The Gospels were also written for different audiences, and I believe that influenced how they presented this "good news" of Jesus Christ. I'd have a problem is one of the Gospel authors claimed Jesus did not die or resurrect, but much of the differences in the four accounts just add some unique vista of Christ.
      Bart is a coward until he's "inspired" enough to write a book criticizing Islam. He's playing for his audience, and that's his reward.

      *Islam Critiqued* Dr Wallace has brought that up to Ehrman in at least one of their debates, and Bart falls silent. When your target audiences are basically ignorant, you can afford to play fast and loose with your words (that's how Islam was born!), but not so when viewed by our Christian scholars.

    As an atheist , I see that Christianity has been criticized like nothing else , both as in objected to, and also having the texts scholarly criticized , for centuries
    There is probably no verse in the bible that hasnt been debated over by scholars over the last two millenia
    Islam has not experienced any of this,
    and just like a muslim apologist whose name I forgot once said "its gonna come like a tsunami"

    VERY GOOD THIS ONE VIDEO.......I suspected Bart years back but you went much, much deeper........very good work.....Bart lost his faith years ago , so the one thing left for him to do was to justify his leaving Christianity and his faith was by putting ''doubt'' into the new testament. and writing books about it ...just to see how many people he could convince to leave JESUS ........and the Muslims love him for it, I wonder if Islam maybe got it's clutches into him and together they planed something sinister. Bart this next passage fits you .............Colossians 2:8...... See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception [pseudo-intellectual babble], according to the tradition [and musings] of mere men, following the [f]elementary principles of this world, rather than following [the truth-the teachings of] Christ. 9 For in Him all the fullness of Deity (the Godhead) dwells in bodily form [completely expressing the divine essence of God]

    • @IslamCritiqued

    I realize I'm watching this late, but I feel it is important to point out that you're wrong. UBS 5 doesn't mean what you said. Just look at the text:
    B in the middle tells us where we're beginning, by putting it in the middle we know we need to look between the U and S, there we find T. By putting U before B we know we need the letter before B, which is A, and by the distributive property we know we need the letter before S, which is R. Now we see the name of the author BART, the 5 points to the fifth letter of the English alphabet: E. UBS 5 tells us the author: Bart E.

    A brief overview of the writings of B.E. at scribd.com by reading just the questions he came up with shows clearly:
    He has no idea, who God is.
    He has just the same questions like all others, who are trying to find God by using their brain. The see themselves as being exceptionally clever, but cannot recognize the darkness of their heart - and by this, leading millions into the night.

    Anthony Rogers has done one, I think CP did one of the first (at least I heard his discussion on the different accounts of Moses and the burning bush in the Qur'an first) and now this one. I can't wait for more.
    And as IC says the difference is radical. The Bible is inspired by God but He still used witnesses own emphasis and skills and perspective but the Qur'an is supposed to be the dictated words of Allah himself. How can he get it wrong time after time?

    But Bart recently gave his fans a surprise.
    Bart Ehrman's God of Christmas:
    "The image of God it conveys. The God of Christmas is not a God of wrath, judgement, sin, punishment, or vengeance. He is a God of love, who wants the best for people and gives of himself to bring peace, joy and redemption. That's a great image of a divine being.... It is a God who is concerned for you and your world, who wants to solve your problems, heal your wounds, remove your pain, bring you peace, happiness, healing, and wholeness....

    Again and again you are doing mistakes proving bible with close eyes free of mistakes, whereas quraan isn't. You can't mislead Muslims, quraan is protected from heavan mathematically if a little difference occurred the whole system will be mixed up. I can see your blindness towards gospel. When you find contradicting things can't make it out. You always quote Osman collected quraan that is not the case. It was Abu bakar who collected and gave it to hafsa wife of prophet. Osman made copy of it and sent to different directions. Four gospels I learnt they were written 90 to 110 years after Jesus and nothing is known about 4 writers who were they and gospel's style 'according to' show they weren't the writers!

    • @abdullahhussein3775

      Masroor Ahmad Azmi
      You are blind yourself - how can you say quran doesnt have any mistakes while you need only open it to see how many errors and contradictions are in it?!
      The first uran was written after Muhammed death under the rule of Abu Bakr - the ONLY copy was given to Hafsa.
      But the issue is it was only one copy, why not many copies?!
      Then Uthman decidee to "rewrite" it, so he took the copy of Hafsa and got written his new quran and ordered to burn all other qurans! Most likely to include the quran from Hafsa.
      There were many different qurans by the time.
      And yet, today we also have many different Arabic qurans that even do not match the earlieat qurans found.
      Quran is not a reliable book at all. Bible is definitely much more reliable.

    • @masroorahmadazmi8380
      @masroorahmadazmi8380 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Abdullah Hussein , yes bible is reliable because, it's mistakes over number its correctness and it's writers were unknown because Romans have completely paganised it. Christianity from time of Jesus to the councel of niecia 325 years of long time had no systems of practices. You don't know the real date of birth of Jesus but still celebrate it because it suits you and that is a day more accidents happen than any other day that is a curse day.

    • @abdullahhussein3775
      @abdullahhussein3775 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Masroor Ahmad Azmi
      Now you started to twist the conversation with things that are a separate matter. What has a councel of NIcea to do with preservation of quran?!
      Christians are clear on their beliefs and are open to any criticism that they deal in a civilized matter. In fact there were christians themselves that has run the critical validation of their scriptures for centuries. Even you take a bible, and look at the references, christians even say if there is something unclear. The christians themselves are pointing out at it. So the christans are honest with their beliefs and with their bible.
      This cannot be about the muslims and the muslim world where any criticism against a particular aspect of Muhamed or any criticism against islam is labelled as blasphemy - and the punishment for that according to islam is death!
      The open debate about islam can the only run in the Western World - so in a kaffir land! Is that not sad?! It saddens me that muslims are incapable to deal critically with their beliefs. Even so called islamic reformers are running away from muslim countries to the West, and yet being in the West they run with a fatwa on their heads.
      You gave an example about Jesus birth. Off course christians do not know for sure when Jesus was born! Christians even don't hide it! They say that clearly. So I dont know what issues you have with that then? It is a symbolic celebration of Jesus birth set on a best historical knowledge they have available.
      But if you ask a muslim and ask for ramadan, you will hear that this was the time when the quran was revealed. The fact is however that ramadan changes and is celebrated in different times every year. And this does make sense, yeah?! So how do muslims know when exactly it was revealed, especially as it was supposed to be "revealed" in 23 years!
      If you say that to muslims, they become angry.
      This is the muslim hypocrisy.

    • @abdullahhussein3775
      @abdullahhussein3775 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      By the way, the bible (the Torrah and Gospel/Injil) are mentioned even in quran and quran (supposingly allah) is clear that it is the Word of God that is protected by allah himself from any changes or corruption.
      So for you as a muslim to claim that the bible was changed etc, it is like shooting at your own legs as you contradict the quran with such statements.
