The 10 Best Things of Islam:
*10* . The certainty that God loves you.
*9* . Clear moral guidance and rules that exalt the best of our human nature, as we are made in the image of God, such as
    - do not kill,
    - do not steal,
    - do not lie,
    - do not commit adultery, and
    - forgive those who wrong you.
    *8* . A sanctified institution of marriage;
    which is the indissoluble union of a man and a woman;
in which husband and wife become one flesh,
are equal, and are both commanded to love, honor and respect one another.
*7* .The promise of eternal life in loving union with God.
*6* . A command from God to love your fellow human beings -- i.e. to want them good -- and to live in peace and harmony with them all, irrespective of their sexual orientation, faith, race, gender...
*5* . A command from God to even love your enemies, i.e. to want them good!
*4* . The certainty that God loves every human being, irrespective of sexual orientation, faith, gender, race...
*3* . A command from God for you not to judge others or punish them, but to forgive them; because if anybody deserved punisment, God will punish them, not you.
*2* . Beautiful and rich religious rituals which are celebrations of life, are meant to glorify and give thanks to a loving God, and are thus full of joy and are often accompanied with marvellous chants and wonderful music.
*1* . A role model Who you can follow with your eyes closed, because He was pure and committed no sin; so in following Him you can make no error.
Well, to be precise: these would be the ten best things of Islam if they were actually things of Islam, but they are not. Not at all.
None of them is a thing of Islam.
But they are all things of Christianity.
These are some of the good things of Christianity.
Accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
In Jesus you will find truth, love, beauty and eternal life.

The question is: How to get out of a mental prison?
    G. I. Gurdjieff said something like: To be able to get out of a prison, your first have to be convinced, that you are in.
Otherwise, there will be no desire to escape and you will believe, that your life is normal and free.
Therefore I like your presentations, because you open some windows for Muslim people to have a look outside and to see another more real and true world. But still: From there to start making a plan to escape might be a long way.
Or one chooses to stay in prison and to calm down ones conscience for the rest of ones life.
But what kind of reward can one expect from this???

*BigBoss* Evidence of Muhammad's atrocities? Typical type of response- challenging me to bring evidence, and posting this challenge in the comments section of the video that contains the exact evidence you challenge me to bring. This happens too frequently...
Now, if your comment isn't related to this video, but you're challenging 1nemind and myself to present evidence that Muhammad is a false prophet, they actually have a video on that on their channel. And conveniently for you, that's my next video, from an entirely different angle. So (un)luckily for you, your wish will be granted. I hope you'll join me in about a week or so for a look at the theology Muhammad allegedly revealed from Allah in the Quran. It will not be pretty.
Additionally, if your comment is NOT related to this video, I wonder what you have to say in response to the content I've presented above.
Also, what do you mean by your "dare" statement? What are you going to do when I post my video on Muhammad as a false prophet and you can't refute it? Are you going to...double dare me? Maybe....double dog dare me??!?! Surely you wouldn't.....triple dare me, would you?!?

I triple dare you to speak Arabic language

      Common ones
      So I'm gonna start explaining
"And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way."
      Holy Qur'an
      Chapter : 17
      Verse : 32
      Adultery is prohibited in Islam
And even looking at women is also prohibited
And shaking hands with them is also prohibited
So by your logic and your short view of life
Telling me that Pedophilia is allowed in Islam ?
My prophet peace be upon him condemns rape
“Narrated Wa’il ibn Hujr: “When a woman went out in the time of the Prophet(P) for prayer, a man attacked her and overpowered [raped] her. She shouted and he went off, and when a man came by, she said: That [man] did such and such to me. And when a company of the Emigrants came by, she said: That man did such and such to me. They went and seized the man whom they thought had had intercourse with her and brought him to her.
She said: Yes, this is he. Then they brought him to the Apostle of Allah.
When he [the Prophet] was about to pass sentence, the man who [actually] had assaulted her stood up and said: Apostle of Allah, I am the man who did it to her.
He [the Prophet] said to her: Go away, for Allah has forgiven you. But he told the man some good words [Abu Dawud said: “meaning the man who was seized”], and of the man who had had intercourse with her, he said: “Stone him to death.“
It doesn't mean that the female testimony worth half of that to a man
      As degerating women
What is meant by witness or testimony is something by which the thing testified may be proven and known to be true and correct, so it is information about it. With regard to the witness of two women being equal to the testimony of one man. Allaah has mentioned the wisdom behind specifying the number of two as being that a woman may forget or get confused, so the other woman can remind her, as He said:
“…And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her…”
      [al-Baqarah 2:282 - interpretation of the meaning]
With regard to the phrase, “that if one of them (two women) errs”, Ibn Katheer said: “This means, the two women, if one of them forgets the testimony, then ‘the other can remind her’, i.e., she can remind her about the matter concerning which testimony is being given.” (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, part 1, p. 724)
Allaah has commanded the testimony of two women so as to be sure that they remember, because the mind and memory of two women takes the place of the mind and memory of one man. (See I’laam al-Muwaqqa’een, part 1, p. 75).
This does not mean that a woman does not understand or that she cannot remember things, but she is weaker than man in these aspects - usually. Scientific and specialized studies have shown that men’s minds are more perfect than those of women, and reality and experience bear witness to that
      And this verse :
“And those who accuse chaste women [of adultery] and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient. Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed Allaah is Forgiving and Merciful.”1
Unfortunately for such people, this fallacy of equivocation has no basis in Islamic jurisdictions and the punishment for rape (which is defined as forced sexual intercourse) is certainly not equivalent to the punishment of adultery.
God willing , in what follows we aim to deal with this issue once and for all by breaking it down into several points so as to enable easy understanding.
The claim that rape victims require four witnesses to seek justice for their case is untrue and a false lie propagated by those who either do not have any knowledge in Islamic law or want to “prove” a so-called weakness in the hadd laws. Circumstantial evidence is sufficient and the judge can invoke his judgment based upon takzir (his own discretion).
If a person makes an allegation of adultery against another person (male or female), only then he or she must produce four witnesses to support such an allegation: “And those who accuse chaste women [of adultery] and then do not produce four witnesses….”2; otherwise, he or she is guilty of slandering, which is a grave offense in Islam.
To insist that the raped victim must provide witnesses is akin to inflicting further pain on her. If anyone refutes her claim of innocence, the onus is on him to provide evidence, and she may simply deny the claim by making a solemn oath, thus clearing herself in public.
And Taqiya is something the Shia do
      Not all Shia
But the ones in Iran do these guys have manipulated the religion and made so many disgusting stuff and they claim that this is Islam
      May Allah destroy them
That is not the way of Islam
      We call them "الرافضه "
"Ar-rafidah " the rejecters because they rejected the religion and drifted it based on what they desire

But because the Muslims do not truly understand the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, they could not possibly understand what Mohammed did was wrong. He is amplified as the most righteous man that ever lived. They don't see Jesus the same as they see Mohammed. So you see how clever Satan is? So it's thou shall not torture & kill unless you are Muhammad and/or you're in his context. But isn't that weird? Isn't it more likely that the Quran states the rule & thus that the Quran approves awful stuff? As a famous atheist said, what did ISIS do that Muhammad didn't? That's the real problem for Islam - Muhammad did horrible things, so either he's not a Muslim or Islam is pretty terrible.

But any man is just a man, no matter that he is a prophet or not, nobody is judge over people beside God, right? Right? Why does someone has to follow a man, love that much a man, obey so much a man, it is JUST A MAN, no matter that some deity supposedly speaks through him, it doesn't matter, and it's NOTHING like that in the Bible. Because WE follow Jesus because we know that He is God, if He woild be just a man - no one would follow Him, and He raised from the dead and we know that by witnesses, and did miracles, He's no mere man. So stupid... Magamad is no final judge, a man is no judge, only God... monotheists...

    Narrated `Abdullah:
As if I am looking at the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was speaking about one of the prophets whose people have beaten and wounded him, and he was wiping the blood off his face and saying, "O Lord! Forgive my people as they do not know."

You begin to resemble that which you worship.
The shehada that Muslims recite to enter into Islam existed before Muhammad, translated as saying 'There is no God but Allah'. We have historical evidence of its existence.
Muhammad came, and added himself to it, making the phrase 'There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger.'
The myriad actions that Muhammad takes in the history of Islam are deified: it's a miracle that he sucked on a young boy's tongue! The men rubbed Muhammad's spit on their faces, oh how... miraculous?
Indeed, Muhammad is clearly deified by Islam, and when his followers worshiped him he did not stop them from doing so.
His lifestyle is never judged, but deemed the perfect lifestyle for Muslims to follow - despite the Qu'ran clearly stating that Jesus was sinless, but Muhammad was not sinless (though not condemned for it).
Muslims are told to emulate Muhammad.
I think the more they defend Muhammad even in the face of these atrocities, the more they worship him. To claim that anything he did is without fault, and defend these horrid atrocities he performed, since he is the 'perfect lifestyle' to follow. The supposed untouchable sunnah of this slave trader and warlord. Indeed, the race-based slave trade began around Muhammad's time... I would not be surprised if he was one of the major contributing factors to its rise.
And you begin to resemble that which you worship.
Turn away from sinful man and worship the almighty God.
Don't know how? Look to Jesus - even the Qu'ran agrees He is sinless - and see what *He*, who is without sin, had to say.
Examine His claims and teachings thoroughly: examine the historicity of them, the validity of our copies of His teachings (indeed, compare the manuscripts of the New Testament and trace them to before Muhammad's time - we indeed have accurate copies of what He said), and the evidence for His resurrection.
Then, I think, you will find that Worthy is the Lamb.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  6 ปีที่แล้ว

Renee Brutvan could you be more specific as to how this argument goes and what the implications are?

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

So my issue here would be that there's no comparison, it's apples to oranges. Rather, the more appropriate analogy would be source criticism of the respective primary texts (Bible and Quran). When Christians point out that the Quran contains material from numerous myths that were floating around in 7th century Arabia, Muslims may turn around and allude to some form of the argument that you reference in your comment. This would be flawed on numerous accounts, perhaps the most relevant would be the different understandings of how the text was transmitted from God. It's simply invalid to critique the Christian worldview with Islamic presuppositions. But Muslims do this all the time. Don't be fooled by this. The Christian concept would obviously be that God used people, and those people weren't mindless drones. They read stuff. (Surprise!) And that stuff informed their thinking. And under inspiration they brought these ideas into a coherent theological message.
There are numerous examples I could give, but I've spent a good deal of time on the comments section today so I'll try to keep it short but adequate and give you two.
The Tree of Life is attested to in other ancient near eastern literature, inscriptions, cylinder seals, and possibly a very close allusion in the Epic of Gilgamesh. There is also much symbolism associated with trees in the ancient world. (If you're interested in specifics, email me and I can direct you to some resources. They are a bit technical). Yet we find this tree language in the inspired Biblical text. It seems the writers were just writing thoughts that were floating around in their times? However, a lot is different. In the Biblical text, the Tree has a special significance, namely, the presence and holiness of God. The theological importance of these two things is critical to understand for Biblical theology. And the theology that goes along with God in Genesis as well as the entire OT, is in many important ways, worlds apart from contemporary pagan theology. Yet, this motif of trees is adapted into the Biblical text. And so we have this Tree of Life, which in Revelation 2 is the presence of God. God dwelling with his people, this is the design from the start, from Eden. That's the message the Tree of Life is communicating- a theological message that is transmitted using language and literary motifs of their time. The literary motifs come and go, but the theology stays. This theme is picked up again in Revelation 22, "Eden Restored". The Tree of Life is there, the presence of God in paradise for eternity. This ancient literary motif wasn't picked up ignorantly by some incoherent babbling prophet. From the start, it had massive theological import- God dwelling with his people (repeated throughout the OT and NT in numerous ways: "the Word became flesh and DWELLED among us"). Also, it's a picture of life. God's presence is associated with life.
Second example would be polemics. There are numerous polemics in the Hebrew Bible especially. Ugaritic literature has Baal being the "rider of the clouds". Well, the Hebrews liked that and decided to use it- only it was Yahweh for them! The Lord rides on a swift cloud in Isaiah 19:1, similar in Deuteronomy and the Psalms. The title carried enough theological weight (power over nature) that the Israelites wanted it for Yahweh. Jesus seems to have agreed, in Mark 14:62 Jesus says he will, "...come on the clouds of Heaven!" What the Old Testament writers probably took as a polemic was actually, by divine providence, a very powerful theological point that Jesus himself used as well.
So yes the Biblical text does involve extra-biblical material. And this is perfectly in accordance with the Christian concept of theology. And it all comes together in one coherent theological narrative by the providence of God. This is a very brief treatment of these very deep issues. I hope it's adequate as a start to an answer to your question.

    • @carbine090909
      @carbine090909 6 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, thank you, providing a framework was helpful. I'm very weak on logical arguments. I've been listening to Michael Heiser's podcasts lately, and he lectures in a similar vein -- using scholarly work to understand OT themes from the viewpoint of the people who lived in that time and place. Your 2nd example reminded me of his treatment of Melchizedek (th-cam.com/video/GvpCqgruSvg/w-d-xo.html). I think I've got it -- just because narratives are associated with Scripture, doesn't mean they fill the same function: Biblical apocrypha speaks to time and place, informing our understanding of OT characters, language, and motifs. Qu'ranic hadith is a collection of gossip about Mohammed, some more reliable than others.

Renee Brutvan Literature doesn’t have to be inspired to be useful to the Biblical writers. Simply put.
Good on Heiser. He’s one of a rather short list of scholars who put much effort into making academic content available to non-specialists. You’re on the right track.

let's deal with your first point .. which is that Islam spread by force
    Islam spread by choice
the Empires of Islam defeated those empires of that time by force
    they defeated states
    armies
and they weren't like good states or good armies
they themselves were expanding empires which took over other people's lands and persecuted them
so yes .. fighting them to Spread the Islam is gr8 thing
Muhammed did it , so it is right

Muhammed didn't struk Aisha in the chest , he just pushed her and it wasn't done in a sinister way
read the whole conversation , in fact he said after he pushed her in a very loving way "do you think I will deceive you"
Muhammed did it , so it must be right

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Your translators say, "struck" overwhelmingly. No matter what he did, struck, pushed, it "caused her pain". you can't scrub that out of the translation.
Also, I investigate the "push" claim here. Muhammad could have been using his "demon" doctrine to guilt Aisha into curbing her jealousy caused by having so many wives. Convienient: th-cam.com/video/LSAm6Q2Tn4A/w-d-xo.html
"in fact he said after he pushed her in a very loving way" Show me where the narration says that. I wasn't aware that you shove someone to express your love, or that a "loving shove" causes pain.

Reasoned Answers apologetics videos are you trying to dismiss what Aisha said as she didn’t say strike but beat ? Really? What the hell is wrong with you. There is ample evidence is you look into it, Islam does not allow men to beat women. Only sickos like this uploader will try to deceive people.Regarding whether it was acceptable; the prophets intention wasn’t to hurt her, he didn’t push her to the ground an start stamping on her head, he didn’t push her in a violent way, he applied pressure that caused her. As a result of the push, yes Aisha was in pain but he didn’t intend or it to happen.
