    In this video we look at the form of an Abrahamic tradition as attributed to one of the most prolific hadith narrators, Abu Hurayra. This is yet another video containing information most Muslims have not been exposed to. Predictably, as a response in the comments section below, we will see personal attacks as well as polemics against Christianity.
    For any interested in possible relevant ancient near eastern background to Abraham's marriage to Sarah: “Thou art my sister was technically true (20:12), and E. A. Speiser has drawn attention to the esteem in which the Hurrians (influential at Haran) held the wife-sister relationship: a husband would even legally adopt his wife as sister to increase his authority and the status of the marriage." -Kidner, D. (1967). Genesis: An Introduction and Commentary (Vol. 1, p. 127). Downers Grove, IL: InterVarsity Press.
    Regardless, the Biblical accounts faithfully record the actions, whether good or bad, of Biblical characters- this includes prophets. Biblical writers were not driven by such apologetic concerns when recording their accounts. For those well versed in Biblical theology, we expect perfection in the next life, not this one.
    “One result of the great changes brought about by Islamic domination of the Arabian Peninsula was that the once colorful fabric representing the diverse religio-cultural expressions of the sixth and seventh century Arabia survived only as disjointed remnants. Some pre-Islamic legends survived through reinterpretation according to the developing religious standards of early Islam. But more often, certain bits and pieces of ancient tales survived as they were reworked into the legends, evolving to serve as foundations for the newly developing religious system…one such source containing material bearing strong similarities to Biblicist and indigenous pre-Islamic tradition is the revelation known as the Quran.” -Firestone, Journeys in the Holy Lands, p.7
    “Some material deriving from Biblicist and pre-Islamic pagan environments had become so well integrated into Islamic lore that they were included in the most respected collections and cited freely in authoritative exegesis of the Quran.” -Firestone, Journeys in the Holy Lands, p.10
    “In fact, however, stories or legends that are specifically designated by medieval Muslim scholars as Israelite Tales cannot be found in Jewish literature- at least not as they are found in Islamic sources…a story deemed by Islam as an Israelite Tale is actually…a unique and authentically Islamic tale.” -Firestone, Journeys in the Holy Lands, p.13
    “The evidence…can be found in Arabic genealogies, which appear to connect the Northern Arabs and the tribe of Muhammad to Hagar and Ishmael only in late- that is, Islamic-texts. Pre-Islamic pagan Arab genealogies appear to have no awareness or concern for the connection…” -Firestone, Journeys in the Holy Lands, p.37
    “It was said: The king had a daughter of extreme goodness and beauty [cf. Gen 12:11] named Hagar…Then Gabriel came to Abraham and gave him the good news that God would provide him with a child through…Hagar a son through whom would appear a prophet by the name of Muhammad, the seal of the prophets…when she [Hagar] gave birth to Ishmael, his face shone like the moon with the light of our prophet Muhammad.” -Al-Kisa’i’s, cited from Firestone, -Journeys in the Holy Lands p.41

      If physical appearance is so important to them, why do some muslim women cover themselves with what looks like blankets with a narrow strip across the eyes so they can see where they are going. Very odd. Look at the way the Gospel of Mark 1, 6 describes John the Baptist's appearance. Muslims would not approve. It's a carnally minded religion with no spiritual discernment whatsoever. Dan Gibson’s work on Petra seems convincing. The pre-Islamic people were, according to Mr. Gibson, the Nabateans.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      I agree his work is convincing. However, we must be nuanced, in my opinion. In practice (i.e. worshiping the black stone), and in Quranic/Hadith geography we do see Nabataean parallels. However, in the texts, we see Jewish/Christian/apocryphal/pseudepigraphical influence overwhelmingly. To add to this, we see in these sources the types of oral tradition that we see from pre-Islamic Arabian poets as well. We also see from Islamic literature the push to move historical events (Abraham, Moses) south into Arabia. So in many ways the texts are a good fit for Arabia. I think we need to recognize first, as Gibson does, the southern shift of Islam- from Petra to Arabia. And with this, we need to recognize that the primary sources of Islam (I'm including the quran as well) developed during and after that shift took place. In short, both could be true, we just have to remember that "Muhammad" the man is far removed from the texts that describe him, both in time and in geography.

    • @douellette985
      @douellette985 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Islam Critiqued as an aside, what I enjoyed most about Mr. Gibson’s book Pre Islamic Geography was his discussion about the early tribal societies mention, in passing as it were, in Genesis that were close to the Israelites and how these early stories fit better with Petra, especially the story of Hagar, the well of Zam Zam, and the name of Petra as the Mother of All Colonies. Abraham’s activities in Islamic sources seem to fit better too. Of course this does nothing for the Islamic case. However this seems to be our problem rather than theirs.

    Colin, thank you for yet another superbly academic and manifestly inspired presentation on an important aspect of Islam that I, and a good many others, were largely unaware of. Thank you so very much for all the effort and work that goes into this, in terms of research, in terms of analysis, in terms of attention to detail, and also in terms of a flawless delivery in beautiful and clear English.
    I have a question unrelated specifically to this topic, but I have the impression you may be able to answer it for me. Jay Smith mentions that the version of the Qur'an that is widely and almost universally promulgated in the west and in many parts of the Arab world or Muslim world is a version that was canonized in 1924, a version that was not only canonized in 1924 but fashioned in the seven years prior to that canonization. Jay Smith reports that this version of the Qur'an was first produced in Cairo Egypt, and that several decades later religious Authority in Saudi Arabia decreed that this 1924 version would be and should be the version to use for all translations to foreign languages and for study for the faithful.
    However, Jay Smith and you have pointed out that Turkey had and has an edition of the Qur'an that differs from other versions, and in fact differences among various editions of the Qur'an is not a rare phenomenon but is the norm.
    My specific question is regarding the Arabic edition of the Qur'an that was preserved among the Turks. Did the Turks switch to the 1924 version of the Qur'an, did the Turks somewhat adapt or modify their version of the Qur'an to the 1924 canonized edition, and if the Turks ever switched or ever altered their version of a Quran to make it conform to the 1924 standardized version, in what year the Turks do this?
    My question is for my own curiosity's sake. I would like to be able to have a look at the Turks' Arabic version of the Qur'an. I would in fact like to purchase a copy of the Qur'an as the Ottomans preserved it, even by buying a fairly inexpensive Edition printed in the 20th century. I just need to know at what point any changes would have been made in the Turkish print edition of the Qur'an to make it conform to the 1924 edition, if any changes were ever made.
    I am hoping that you can just rattle off an answer like 1956 or 1928, as I am certainly not trying to add academic burden to your shoulders; I can see that you are a man on a mission.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Not only that, but the 1924 edition was produced because of the complaints Muslim clerics received about the differences in the Qurans that were being distributed in schools. Also, it is not a Quran in Turkey, rather, a manuscript. Briefly, the manuscripts all differ, and we're up to 31 Arabic Qurans now. Interesting, what many of the corrections show is that the scribes were attempting to bring them into conformity with what we now know as the 1924 edition.

    • @jamesweller1965
      @jamesweller1965 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@IslamCritiqued I had no idea. That is fascinating. So did Turkey automatically adopt the 1924 edition? I am astonished even indignant that Muslim scholars carry on the pretence of an unchanged Qur'an from the days of Muhammed when it has only been unchanged since 1924.

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It was standardized by Cairo. Also, it hasn't been unchanged since 1924. A couple of revisions followed to address some issues that were missed.
      It's difficult to see where the line is between Muslim academics who affirm the Quran is unchanged and those who don't. Certainly, there are many who admit there are numerous changes, but this information doesn't filter down very well. Then the rebuttal comes, "the text doesn't matter, since MILLIONS of people memorized it."

    • @ReasonedAnswers
      @ReasonedAnswers 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@jamesweller1965 To flesh out the story a bit. There were (I believe) 36 "standard" Qurans prior to 1924 - one for each of the classic schools of transmission. Cairo decided to adopt one of those (Hafs) for use in their schools so that everyone was on the same page. The model worked, so others began to adopt it. Soon Egypt adopted in nationally. Later, Saudi Arabia canonized it for "all" of the Arabic-speaking world. That was not until 1980 or so. That greatly accelerated the adoption, but some hold outs remain even today. Hafs is about 95% of Arabic Qurans, but most of the other 35 can still be found in use - I believe Jay and Hatun have tracked down 30 or 32 of the 36.
      Prior to 1924 Hafs was already dominant. This is due to an accident of history - it happened to be the first one printed using a printing press - not anything special about it. The versions aren't massively different, but rather have the typical amount of variation one finds from handwritten manuscripts. The problem for Muslims is 1) they lie about "perfect preservation" as an "authenticating miracle" and thus this info is devastating to people when they learn it. 2) There is no critical edition of the Quran (unlike Bible) because Muslims are afraid of losing the perfect preservation myth. This means the original text is far less certain than the original Biblical text.

    Under, "why was this pre-Islamic story kept within Islam" I would add that it may have just been a well-known and well-circulated story that wasn't going anywhere, therefore Islamic authorities thought it best to sanitize and utilize it for their own purposes rather than leave it as was.
    This was what I assume happened with certain pre-Christian tales that made it into explicitly Christian works such as The Golden Legend. Stories about the local hero were going to persist one way or the other, so the Church might as well mint an "authorized" version.
    It is worth remembering that in both cases (early medieval Europe and Arabia) the societies were not so literate that the general populace would be able to research and compare and determine what material was pre-Christian/Islamic and what was post. A child being raised on stories of Abraham and Dhul Qarnayn in an Islamic context would have no reason to suppose they were somehow un- or pre-Islamic.

    The hadiths and Sunnah keep mentioning Syria, as though Syria was so important. I wondered why Syria would be so important that they are always talking about it and came across a hadith in which Abu Huraira said that the prophet said the Dajjal would descend at the White Minaret in Damascus.
    The problem is that "Mohammad" died in 632, and the White Minaret was built in 634. The speaker says the White Minaret as though it was already there in Damascus so this leaves several options for this problem.
    1: There was more than one Mohammad.
    2: It was spoken by someone else they claim was Mohammad.
    3: Mohammad had a time machine.
    4: It was merely attributed to Mohammad.
    There are many instances in which there seems to be more than one Mohammad, because there is a lack of continuity in the speeches, and they are so contradictory with each other. For instance, it is claimed Mohammad was born in Mecca, yet it is also implied he was born in Syria and in Petra. At least one Mohammad preached from the Bible, directly quoting verses from Job, Psalm and Isaiah. One Mohammad said that some man he knew had to crawl through the snow as a punishment. Since when does Mecca get snow? That means a Mohammad was from an area where there was snow, otherwise how would the Yathrib Arabs even know what snow was if they had never seen it?
    Anyway, I don't know if there were multiple men they claimed was the one Mohammad, but they repeat stories of other men doing things and then say "I heard the prophet say", well, which prophet? The Mohammad was attached by the writer of the hadith. Any time you see Mohammad in the Quran, it was inserted by the translator and not directly written.

    Hagar being the daughter of a king reminds me of the south korean "christian" end time sect called ShinChonJi. Their spiritual leader, Lee Man Hee, when he visited us in Berlin (and i was dragged to the place so i would listen to him ... At that time my mother was part of the sect, but didn't know they were a sect) they presented him like a king. A scepter, a big kingly chair, in red and gold, and even announcing that he was a descendant of some korean king pffff ahahaha.
    it's almost like this pattern is the modus operandi of all sects, they always try to attach themselves to something or someone bigger and better so they can improve their status.
    I saw it in the Korean sect, and we see it with Islam

      I think they do believe in reincarnation but only after judgement day. Something about 144000 people in the book of Life being the highest ranked people in gods paradise blabla... Funnily their sect far exceeded that number now at 200000 XD
      And this lee Man hee is supposed to replace Jesus and he "proved" that by having ridden a flying white horse (in his delusions XD) and sending 7 letters to 7 churches in korea XD

      That being said, Korean sects are extremely dangerous. I am currently at the technical University Berlin and i know of the shinchonji and the "church of mother God" both trying to actively lure innocent and naive Christians into their sects :/

Also Genesis Chapter 17 Verse 20 states that Ishmael was blessed by God and begot twelve prince's. So if our Muslim friends claim that their Prophet Mohammad was a descendant of Ishmael, was Mohammad or anyone else able to trace his (Prophet Mohammad's) genealogy to Ishmael? The Nabateans, the group most likely to be the primary pre-Islamic people, were camel traders that defended their trade source by fabricating tall tales about where their trade items came from and how hard these were to obtain in order to justify the exorbitant prices they charged. Defending claims against all comers was just part of haggling or bargaining. All social customs and traditions that come under the rubric of religion provide some training for getting on in the world. Forcing the children to defend the indefensible was just good business training. The modern Islamic adherents are simply employing, albeit unconsciously, this market haggling technique to defend their religion. It works most of the time which is to say enough times to be profitable.
    It is not at all certain that we will be able to stop its spread because, first and foremost, there are strong indications of payments being made to the right people to gain market access, and second of all the group that is most able and motivated to organize and see off the civilizational threat that is Islam, I speak of the Christians, are still dealing with the unexploded ordinance of the rending of Christendom. A war, I might add, that was encouraged for commerce’s sake not religion’s.

Abragham was a first muslim and there were no other muslims beside him and Sarrah (how about Hagar? if Abragham was not yet in testament, why Sarrah upon marriage counted as muslim?). Then who was Noah? Then who was Adam?))) And why of all 99 names, two of Magamad's names are "first" and "last"? Is he god? Okay, if he ain't "first" being in universe, then who 1-st he is?
    Right, FIRST MUSLIM, then no Abragham, no Noah, no Adam was muslims, Magamad only was one and he invented all of that... and he ain't needed much, he just stole stories. And muslim know this, why is Magamad that much praised? Because he brought islaaaaam... but who were Abragham then? There you go. Myth busted!

      "It's even shows how Magamad wanted to be "their guy", share stories so people would get excitement and listen to him" This is played out in places like Surah 2:78-79. Apparently Muhammad would recite to new audiences oral traditions that he thought were faithfully preserved, and that they would accept. Swift disappointment would follow, however, when the Jews didn't even recognize then and called him a mad poet. The traditions had evolved well outside of the bounds set by Jewish tradition.

Are you proud of his and Allah's ability to plagiarize a 2nd century AD gnostic text called the Second Treatise of the Great Seth. Did Allah and Mo have any original thoughts? Can you defend their plagiarism? Read the text: "For Adonaios knows me because of hope. And I was in the mouths of lions. And the plan which they devised about me to release their Error and their senselessness - I did not succumb to them as they had planned. But I was not afflicted at all. Those who were there punished me. And I did not die in reality but in appearance, lest I be put to shame by them because these are my kinsfolk. I removed the shame from me and I did not become fainthearted in the face of what happened to me at their hands. I was about to succumb to fear, and I according to their sight and thought, in order that they may never find any word to speak about them. For my death, which they think happened, (happened) to them in their error and blindness, since they nailed their man unto their death. For their Ennoias did not see me, for they were deaf and blind. But in doing these things, they condemn themselves. Yes, they saw me; they punished me. It was another, their father, who drank the gall and the vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. It was another upon Whom they placed the crown of thorns. But I was rejoicing in the height over all the wealth of the archons and the offspring of their error, of their empty glory. And I was laughing at their ignorance"

    Muhammad might have plagiarized Bible stories from his first wife's cousin - Waraqah ibn Nawfal who was a Christian priest who translated the New Testament from Greek according to hadiths. The hadiths say that he died before Muhammad's career as a Prophet really got started but that he accepted him as a true messenger of God. Other hadiths say Muhammad had seen the Torah on several occasion.

      @@IslamCritiqued There were multiple "Mohammads". And there are hadiths in the Sunnah where a "Mohammad" was directly quoting Bible verses from Job, Psalm and Isaiah. The hadiths all say that he was begging God for forgiveness by washing him with snow (Job, Psalm) and casting his sin as far as the east is from the west (Psalm) and that he was filthy with sin (Isaiah).
      When I was browsing through the Sunnah, I came across one of the hadiths that said "wash me with snow, and cold water and hail and I shall be clean as a white garment is washed of filth" and my eyebrows went up in confusion because I recognized that from the Bible. He was quoting directly. I said to myself "man, he is preaching from the Bible", because one of the hadiths say he was praying for a dead man. And get this, in that prayer he was asking God to absolve the man's sins and give him peace using the word absolution as a Christian priest would when saying Last Rites.

    Thanks once again for highlighting the vast difference between Holy Scripture like the Quran and man-made sayings=hadith.
    I have no doubt that Abu Huraira was a pious person. But for a person such as him to have spent only 4 years in the Company of Prophet Muhammed and for him to go on to write approx 5400 hadith seems quite perplexing. He, Abu-Huraira got this name because he was known as "The Father of Cats." He was a cat lover. Hence the reason amongst his hadiths are his hatred for dogs. Hence, according to him dogs are not clean, its unlawful for a Muslim to keep a dog etc etc.
    As for stories of the past, we are bound to find similarities and also differences.
    However, no such contradictions are in the Quran. The Quran came to re-affirm previous scriptures, it came to correct biases and errors that had crept into Christianity and Judaism.
    The Quran states that Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian but a true believer in Monotheism, a true Muslim.
    Thanks for your input.

      I am sure, if the quran came to correct errors in the Torah and the Evangelion, you can certainly explain to me why Muhammad said Mary, the mother of Jesus, was the sister of Moses and Aaron.
      Of course Moses and Aaron had a sister, her name was Miriam (Mariam) but that is not Mary. These 3 figures lived approximately 1300-1500 years before Jesus.
      What do you mean by correct errors? Sounds more like producing errors......

      Hi. The verse you are referring to from the Quran is at 19:28 I believe.
      The fact is that the Aaron( Harun) being discussed here, is another pious man who lived at the time of Mary. It is not referring to Aaron, brother of Moses.
      Mohsin Khan in his translation of the Quran, points to this!
      In addition, in Islam there is such a thing as being ones sister or brother despite not sharing the same parents. Its by lineage.
      Its just like the Bible which not only says that Jesus was the Son of God, but in fact there are Sons of God, by the dozen, in the Bible. So do Christians call all of them Jesus brothers???
      We are all the children of God, in a metaphorical sense.
      Thanks for helping to clarify this point.

    So, Muslims think prophets are "infallible?"
    Let's me count the rebuttals:
    1. Moses refused to listen to God's word of speaking to the rock, and instead, the prophet struck the rock. (There's a prophetic implication, but I don't think the Muslims understand.)
    2. Isaiah said that our righteousness is "as of filthy rags." (Isaiah 64:6. It gets even worse if you read the verse in the original Hebrew. Just a fair warning, the Hebrew version is very graphic.)
    3. The same Isaiah, in Chapter 6:5, says that he has "unclean lips" when seeing the Lord of Hosts.
    4. Jonah ran away instead of preaching to Ninevah.
    5. In Stephen's testimony before the Sanhedrin, Abraham didn't listen to God when the Lord told him to move to the county Jehovah wanted. Instead, Abraham (sorry that I'm not using Abhram) went up river.

The Sages say: from the mother it is acceptable, from the father, it must be established that he does not worship idols. You contradicted yourself in 1:17 since you said they immigrated there in the first place. The Jewish Hebrews who immigrated there as a result of being brtually ethnically cleansed by the Romans in the Roman-Jevvish wars were ethnically Hebrews.
    There is no such thing as "ethnically Arab" since "Arab" is not an ethnicity. The "Arab" identity that we know today is a result of Arabist-lsIamic conquests and propaganda. The same is true for the "Arabic" language which didn't really exist before lsIam.
    The term "Arab" originally describe someone who is a nomad of the desert, similar to how the term "Bedouin" is understood, and doesn't denote an ethnic group whatsoever. Nowdays when people speak of "Arabs" what they really mean is "ArabISTS" = Pan-Arabists, which is tied to the ideology of Pan-Arabism.
    As for the so-called "Arabic" language - it's actually mixture of other languages - Himyaritic, Aramaic and Hebrew, with a little bit of Greek, Persian, and Ethiopic. This mixture is what was eventually put into the "canonical" Quran and was spread with the Arabist-lsIamic conquests. This "Arabic" mixture language wasn't widely spoken prior to that (even inside the area that now inaccurately called the "Arabian Peninsula").
    It's more accurate to use terms such as: Arabist, Bedouin, Hijazi than "Arab".
    A Morrocan Arabist for example is almost certainly ethnically Berber/Imazigh and not a Hijazi Bedouin. Arabist-lsIamic propaganda seeks to erase any ethnic trace of the places it conquers and replace it with "Arab".

    • @IslamCritiqued
      @IslamCritiqued  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      "You contradicted yourself in 1:17 since you said they immigrated there in the first place." Jewish communities existed in Arabia by the end of the 1st century CE. They, as well as Christians, continued to emigrate over the following centuries. This is the clear meaning of what I said. If it wasn't clear then, it should be now.
      While "Arab" is not a gentilic term, as I have noted elsewhere, for the purposes of this video I've adopting Firestone's usage of the term. This usage is convenient, as it is how "Arab" is commonly understood.
      I'm not sure what your point is about Arabic. Every known language has sister languages, cognates...etc.

    • @humansdosuck
      @humansdosuck 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If they immigrated there and married among themselves they weren't Hijazi Bedouins (what you inaccruately called "ethnically Arab").
      How "Arab" is commonly understood (simplistically adopting the Arabist-lsIamic narrative) is wrong, and thats what I explained in my comment.
      I don't know what you mean by "sister language" but if you mean a similarity between languages then it's completely different than the case of Arabic which is a creation out of a mixture of other languages rather than an independant language that happens to share similarity due to a pre-historic common origin. "Arabic" didn't exist before lsIam, and should actually be called Quranic or Quranic Hijazi Bedouin mixture rather than "Arabic".
      By the way, in regards to the Arabist-Ishmaelite propaganda:
      The notion that Hijazi Bedouins (or worse yet - a bigger group of Peninsula Bedouins) descend from Ishmael is an lsIamic invention. MusIims hijacked this notion in order to legitimize their conquests, rule and religious doctrine. In pre-lsIamic times such a notion did not exist.
      In fact, even in the lsIamic sources themselves we can find clues on how early MusIims tried to cover up pre-lsIamic heritage:
      The Prophet said on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka'b: "If anyone proudly asserts his descent in the manner of the pre-lsIamic people, tell him to bite his father's penis, and do not use a euphemism." [Hadith - Mishkat Al-Masabih, Vol. 2, p. 1021]
      The Bedouin tribes of the Peninsula had lived in the area long before the supposed time Ishmael even existed. It's interesting to note in the lsIamic sources for passages such this:
      Umar Ibn al-Khattab said of the Bedouin, "They are the origin of the Arabs…". [Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 5, Book 57, Number 50]
      The truth is that if Ishmael even existed, or was based on a real person, he was a Hebrew man for all intents and purposes. Aside from his Hebrew name and heritage, we know that historically centuries before Muhammad was born Jevvs were named Ishmael (such as Ishamel ben Ntanya, Rabi Ishmael ben Elisha and others). There are also even older records for Jevvs using the name Ishmael, such as a tablet found at the site of Tel Halif in Syria, dated to the 7th century BCE. Ishmael was part of the Hebrew Jevvish heritage centuries before Arabist Muslims stole it and hijacked the name and his heritage for themselves, to serve their Arabist-lsIamic agenda.

      We do find stories of a couple different "Ishmael's" in the Islamic texts. Regarding the primary sources, there is little to say. The Quran mentions him mostly as a secondary figure. A plausible reason for this would be the that Islam had relatively few sources to draw from. And the main sources with Ishmael traidition (Jewish) were decidedly negative.

    Allah is the one and only god from the beginning of time,he taught humans everything even religion,Allah Almighty started the first religion from the beginning he sent a messenger to every nation (this is explicitly mentioned in Quran) to preach his divine revelations whether it was written or orally transmitted teachings it does not matter now since these are all lost,corrupted or exist as Folklores,myths,legends,Ancient religions and fairy tales however all of these holds a truth in them,Quran is the only divine revelation that is not corrupt, it's completely perfect.. hate it or love it, it's the truth and Islam haters are just jealous, As for the similarity it's normal they're from one god who is Allah,I like to hear and read about these specially when it resembles stories from Quran it strengthen my faith,it won't make me doubt my faith at all,if any Muslims doubted Islam because of it then he has no one to blame but himself for lack of knowledge probably this Muslim doesn't even read Quran, you Christians hate it when people say "Jesus is a copy from Dionysus" or Krishna and "virgin Mary is a copy from Maya the mother of Buddha" because your bible did not give you no hint to refute it with. Atheists say all religions are stolen from old legends and Folklores .... as a Muslim who studied and learned my religion enough all thanks to Allah, i say nobody plagiarized or copied from anyone these are all possibly stories of real prophets,angels and prophecies from Allah's divine revelation that has been corrupted through times maybe even long time ago since the beginning of humanity and the truth got mix with falsehood and packing it up with the fact that there are prophets Allah did not tell us about in Quran from 40:78 and 14:9 where Allah said that there is nations only he knows and also with 2:213 and 10:19 where Allah said humans were on one faith but they differed....So it's very normal for a truth to be transmitted between people through time in many ways,if you have a brain inside that head of yours instead of a rock you will realize that there is no way that all of these ancient religions and legends are similar to each other and to the Abrahamic religions from simply.. nothing.
    Few examples
    -Man created from clay is in the bible and Quran but also in Chinese,Greek ,Egyptian mythology
    -Leviathan is in the bible similar to jörmungandr in the Norse mythology and so many others.
    -Stories like the epic of Gilgamesh or epic of Atrahasis they say it's older than Noah's flood..which is in the bible and Quran.
    it's fine for me, it could be an old prophecy revealed by Allah of prophet Noah himself... heard during that time and was corrupted, Adam was the first prophet but Noah was the first messenger in Islam.
    lastly, this comment will refute everything from this videos of yours and everything you said to "islam stolen from paganism" to "Allah is moon god" and everything like these stupid infidels ideas, don't let us repeat that ISLAM EXIST FROM THE START OK it doesn't matter if it was called islam or something else,pre-islamic Arab heard of a god name Allah before but mixed this truth with so many ridiculous things like giving him daughters or making him a moon god...etc.
    know that every command Allah gave to Muslims in the Quran is already in the bible even though it's corrupt, what do you all have against us?Nothing, you are just wrongdoers. this is enough for me to know truly no god but one god Allah the all-wise and all- knowing any other god are a nobody.

      Elsewhere, I've focused on some specific verses in the Quran as well as narrations in the hadith and shown that they do not come from God or a prophet of God: th-cam.com/play/PLVwt18wNX1gyR4zQBIso2WFRecAojyJb4.html

      @@IslamCritiqued do you promote Islam, you say you prove verses of the quraan not from God, do you convince about those verses, also the verses from God,( challenge still stands for fourteen centuries bring few verses like quraan, you are in a position to accept that) the hadith from Prophet and other sources. And your book that has been written by third and fourth hand without any record, in fact from stories is direct from God. Can you make out?

      Again, if you have a specific argument with what I've presented, bring it. "And your book that has been written...." yeah yeah. Same old thing. Muslims can't defend their religion so they attack Christianity instead. Don't waste my time.

      @@IslamCritiqued First thing you are quoting another Islamic critiques historian to support your points, quote Gibbon the best and well knowb historian. I am asking why did Christians fled the Romans persecution whenever Romans accepted Christianity? You must know that the true Christians were Unitarian and believe Jesus was only a prophet and they were persecuted and fled. But why did they go to a deserted place where life was hard and not to a fertile place?
      Both Jews and Christians knew the dwelling place of last and final messenger. You together with your favourite historian are trying to prove that the legends of Arabs were inserted into quraan, that's stupidity, the Arabs were astonished of quraanic style and thought this is work of magician. It needs volume to explain everything. In short you are misleading people increasing devil's membership. My time is more precious than yours.

      If you work for it, the god of the quran may love you back. Though his love is thin, and can be lost. You may get to within a cubit of paradise before his decree takes over and he sends you to hell: sunnah.com/bukhari/82/1. Maybe he created you for hell from your father's loins: sunnah.com/muslim/46/47.
      Also, Allah "loves" you so much that you'll get tortured in the grave after death, and then have to pass though the flames of hell after which point you'll retaliate on other Muslims for sins committed in this life. sunnah.com/bukhari/46/1; sunnah.com/bukhari/23/115
      That's the forgiveness and love of allah...wow. Leave a lot to be desired. Also, why would you want to be a part of a religion that simply constructs its history, as I show in this video?

      @Islam Safari How do you know Quran has mistakes.bcoz our Prophet Muhammad couldn't read or write so how he could copie other books. Muhammad just spoke to us what angle said to him from Allah. If you believe that Quran has mistakes then you are not a Muslim. One more thing our Creator Almighty Allah is not very far from us but we are not able to catch him & obey to him
