bro I learnt mixing from you as a beginner and I'm now cashing out from what I learnt from you I owe u a lot honestly …u a blessing man you have no idea
Let me help some of you with FL Studio Go to your Beat/Instrumental mixer track. Put a fruity balance and then below fruity balance put a fruity Db meter. Turn the volume on the fruity balance down to gain stage the beat track like this video does with step 1 with pro tools trim. *Notice that if you try turn the fader down on the beat/instrumental track the fruity dB meter does not go lower, only turning the volume inside fruity balance affects it.
I'm halfway thru this video and man I've watched a lot of mfs content but you break it down unlike anybody else. No one ever drops numbers or explains things thoroughly. Good shit
Watched this video yesterday, just wanted to come back & say that it really saved my mixes. Legit, it was like some crazy secret sauce or some sh!t. I recently took a year break & lost over 1,000 dollars worth of studio equipment during it. Well my life is incomplete without music, so I refuse to let that stop me from pursuing this. Needless to say, my quality suffered greatly due to my equipment loss, and how I was used to mixing didnt work anymore because Im using a Yeti microphone & a pair of astros I bought from walmart . Compared to my Focusrite & NT-1A that I WAS using, well theres really no comparison, it just sounds ugly. I was feeling hopeless & going to give up til I saved up enough money to buy my equipment again. But after watching this video I no longer need to do that. A legit saving grace, thank you.
Bro. After spending an unmentionable amount of time trying to mix a song recorded by thesrtists themselves from two different locations mics daws etc. i needed this video yesterday man.

I appreciate the help with gain staging. Instead of just putting the plugins on, could you show us how you altered them? It would make your videos a lot more helpful.
Would you generally be doing tbis during the mastering process? Or would you try and do it like throughout the mixing process (obviously gain staging the instrumental is thenfirst thung yourendoing beforenyou even record) but as for the rest of those tips how would you generally go about it?
HEY MAN... I really enjoy the simplicity and clrearness of the way you explain your thoughts in your videos. Very clearly understood... DO you happen to have a video where you explain LEVELING or balancing to make a beat sound right? Balancing of individual tracks.. Let me know .. Ill appreciate it. Thank you!
Great video bro….🙏🏾 Please tell me, is this process done before the entire mix or can i do this process after I’ve already mixed the entire project ?? Thanks
@@certifiedyouss I don’t use one plugin specifically for gain I turn my beat down to match the vocals and eq the highs and lows then use a multiband imager to level it out in the mids. when I’m compressing my vocals I use the gain on it to bring my levels up equally..fruity balance is a good gain tool though
Bro your the man I’ve been looking and looking for the answer and you taught it so well I can teach it to someone else thank you m! No more strugglin! 😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Nice. ProQ3 can do those mid/sides well too if you don't have waves. I found a transient processor that's free also and worked well..Transpire by Sonic Anomaly.
I am working in FL Studio, how do i know if i need the smack attack stereo or mono? The presets with waves are on mono too, should i change that to stereo or why not?
I want to first say thank you for all of these tutorials especially this one here. Quick question though. If I have multiple artists on a track how would I go about carving those frequencies? and also I can't seem to select the mid its just greyed out on my f6?
My question is, do you EQ just the vocal in order for it to sit in the beat or do you have to EQ the beat as well if it sounds like both don’t match together
You are doing a great job, I’ve learn a lot from you, thank you🙏.. I have question. Between mono and stereo plug-ins which one is more suitable for mixing and mastering (almost all wave plug-ins come with mono and stereo) ?

try to lower attacks with ur transient designer instead of adding attacks. Then add attack together with vocal in the mastering......!
