Enjoyed the tour JB, thanks. One thing I would like to see you add to your garage is a fire extinguisher. One thing I did as well was to put a small roll of trash bags in the bottom of the trash container saving me a trip into the house or finding storage for them every time I needed to change them out. The first Christmas we were married (1975), my wife gave me a Craftsman mechanics tool set...had that same box and tray - still have all the (now well used) tools and the tray and the box!
I am an organizational freak as well, and for the EXACT reason you are. My father had two 12-foot work benches just piled up with crap. I always hated that growing up. Every single tool I own is in its own place, and it goes BACK in its own place when I am done with it. Keep on Rocking, JB! GREAT VID!! 😎👍

My brother in law sold me his old Rigid shop vac about 20 years ago. Was using it one day and heard the motor change in pitch, didn't think much of it only to notice a minute later that the motor was on fire. Got a lot of use out of that vac, and was bummed that it died, this silver lining is that I got a Milwaukee shop vac to replace it and really like not needing to drag out an extension cord every time I need to use a shop vac. Enjoyed yet another one of your videos JB.
I hope you still have it, lifetime warranty at Home Depot. No recipt required. We picked one off the curb and drove straight there. Brand new free 20gal shopvac, that was a good day!
Nice garage! I have loads of stuff in my garage and a fox body sitting in there. We always mange to shove everything into a shed or walk out basement for the winter to fit 2 cars in while in the summer it turns into a 1 car garage. Being organized saves a LOT of time not searching around like you had past experience with!

All organized.😂 Like you my neighbors know if I'm not in the yard or garage there is something wrong! Great taste in trucks too! I have a 2006 extra cab Tacoma 6 speed manual. Great truck but the frame is rusted bad. I'm looking at the gen 3 for my next truck. Hows it treating you? Thanks again for the great content.
Hey Mike RIGHT ON brother! Great minds think alike! Love my 2019 taco! The care care nut on TH-cam said it was one of the best years for the third Gen. Got 67000 miles on it right now and planning on keeping it for many more! No mechanical issues whatsoever just basic maintenance, brakes, tires, oil changes. Got to put a battery in it this summer. I have it undercoated every year and it’s all black underneath! If you got anymore questions let me know !👍
Very impressive JB! I really enjoyed this video! I too have that Craftsman tool box, actually 2 of them, with the red trays. Probably about 40 years old now. Extremely well organized to say the least. Love the work bench. Have the same in my garage but not on casters. They’re definitely well built. 2 more of them in the basement. Just a tip. You may want to to replace the fluorescent lights with LED lights. They’ll last forever. Gee I wonder what’s in that locked cabinet?? Haha..Great video! Cheers neighbor!

Definitely, red tool tray in craftsman tool box along with the 3/8” socket set that came with it (usa)👍just a quick tip on torque wrench’s when storing it should be set on zero it’s spring loaded so if it’s stored for long period of time the spring can possibly get stretched out and give you inaccurate readings just my 2 cents worth. Very cool garage setup thx for sharing .
Man I wish my shop was as organized as that. I'll get there then SHTF. Like right now we have everything shoved in there from the hurricane. Can't get it our because I had to pull a hub apart on the camper. Camper is blocking everything up waiting on parts. The Honda 217 is in the back. Made sure to keep the new X495 Deere where I could get it out. Grass still grows no matter the weather. Love the content man. Keep it up.
@GarageGear we were all good. Only lost a few shingles for being in the eyewall for like 4 hours and winds over 100. Power was out for 3 days but I have a 10K Champion I plug into the house. Went down to Sargent afterwards and help tarp roofs and clean up for some elderly folks. For the most part, it was just some down trees and stuff. Some houses were definitely lost but was not as bad as it could have been. That was one strong cat 1.
0:55 This is EXACTLY how I feel about my mowers. Currently I have a Toro Commercial with the Suzuki 2 cycle, a Honda HR215 Masters, John Deere 14SX Commercial and JX85. I have to pick one to get rid of in order to potentially pick up a newer Honda HRC216 but have been having a TOUGH time choosing which one to sell. What would you say?
@@GarageGearThe SX is practically a silver JX85. It’s mint. I ultimately decided on the JX85 since it needed the most amount of work to get going. I actually gave it to a friend to hold onto for me until I get to it at a later date. The Honda HRC216 has been awesome!
We had two of those old Justrite metal gas cans on our farm when I was a kid and I always liked them. They still make them and they're still made in the USA and a couple years ago I picked one up on Amazon. I use it every week too, as it's the gas can for my riding mower. I think it's cute how you think that sliding miter saw is old...meanwhile my radial arm saw was made by DeWalt in 1956...

Fantastic JB! Most of my tools are from HF also.. Every weekend Mrs.Rod and I are looking for estate, yard, garage sales for crap we don't need but mostly.. Records! My guess of what you have in the secret cabinet is Comics or Figures. I'll pick up signs also, at the right price. Our sone is a PE "gym teacher" 🙄at the High School where he went to school. Have you thought of a lift for your snowblowers and mowers to get off the floor? I'm glad I got mine from HF! Thanks for the tour!
Nice shop/garage :) My garage has slowly become dual duty in a controlled chaos kind of way, lol. I still have my small engine stuff in there and my tools for working on the car or truck when they need it, but I've also gotten into woodworking, so now there's a 14" band saw, a contractor table saw, a belt/disc sander, a radial arm saw, a chop saw, a 10" drill press, a wood lathe, a scroll saw...along with all the power tools I had before this new hobby...and this is a one car garage, LOL! There isn't much wall space left as it's covered by hooks, cabinets and shelving and yet somehow, when winter comes I can still manage to pack it all away neatly enough to still get a car in there. My old truck has to tough it out outside though.....and so does the riding mower, but under a tarp.

Great setup, very organized! Noticed you didn't use geartrack to mount the cabinets over the bench. What hardware did you use to mount yours, looking to do the same with mine.
I have a craftsman socket set about the same size as that Pittsburgh set and also have a small Crescent pass-through socket set, along with a craftsman combination wrench set and a gearwrench combination set I keep all organized and in their original boxes for the same reason. That being said, I lose more 10mm sockets than dryers eat socks! I have taken to buying the darn things in bulk on Amazon, LOL! There's a special place in my tool chest that is full of 6 point, 12 point, standard and deep well, 1/4 and 3/8ths drive 10mm sockets...Don't ask me where they go off to...I think it's a poultrygeist, the spirit of a KFC bucket chicken that's swallowing them for gizzard grinding.

@@dlukacI think about that whenever I forget to check the gas at a new place and end up walking 100 yards back to the can, pushing that 4 ton push mower. At least it’s self propelled so the walk back isn’t as bad.

The US should slap a tariff on every piece of John Deere equipment, making them more expensive than any built here in the States…..very disappointing. Other companies that moved to Mexico should be treated the same way…..

@@trizkial7592 I typically don’t use vacuum attachments but could give them a shot. All good engines all around if you ask me. Stihl and echo being the better of the two if you ask me.
Just received my 2nd HRX217, K6HYA, the first one come in damaged and installed an hour meter like the one you posted, compared to my HRN216 the 200 motor is a beast, will change oil after a couple of hours or earlier, just put in .60 hour, I have those heavy duty cans, 2 and 5 gallon from 2020, just priced them and they are twice the amount thanks to the economic recovery passed by this administration, NOT!

I'll stick to commercial 21 inch mowers. That John Deere JX75 is a gem. I had JX85, the full blown commercial model from 1998-2003. One of the nicest mowers I've ever used.
Joe, agreed on the John Deere JX85. I still own one and would never sell it especially after seeing what's made today. Unfortunately JD is not longer the Company it once was.

I have a craftsman socket set about the same size as that Pittsburgh set and also have a small Crescent pass-through socket set, along with a craftsman combination wrench set and a gearwrench combination set I keep all organized and in their original boxes for the same reason. That being said, I lose more 10mm sockets than dryers eat socks! I have taken to buying the darn things in bulk on Amazon, LOL! There's a special place in my tool chest that is full of 6 point, 12 point, standard and deep well, 1/4 and 3/8ths drive 10mm sockets...Don't ask me where they go off to...I think it's a poultrygeist, the spirit of a KFC bucket chicken that's swallowing them for gizzard grinding.
Sounds like we both need those 10mm kits from harbor freight!

The US should slap a tariff on every piece of John Deere equipment, making them more expensive than any built here in the States…..very disappointing. Other companies that moved to Mexico should be treated the same way…..

@@GarageGear JD did you notice a drastic increase in gas after you installed that heater? I just had a 14 x 30 shed delivered. Im going to have it spray-foam insulated. Im all over the place about how to heat it. I'm going to live out there during the day.

@@trizkial7592 I typically don’t use vacuum attachments but could give them a shot. All good engines all around if you ask me. Stihl and echo being the better of the two if you ask me.

Just received my 2nd HRX217, K6HYA, the first one come in damaged and installed an hour meter like the one you posted, compared to my HRN216 the 200 motor is a beast, will change oil after a couple of hours or earlier, just put in .60 hour, I have those heavy duty cans, 2 and 5 gallon from 2020, just priced them and they are twice the amount thanks to the economic recovery passed by this administration, NOT!

@@GarageGear Thanks for the clarification. I was thinking of trying out that mower but if you didn't keep it, I think I'll pass since you know your mowers well. I'll stick to commercial 21 inch mowers. That John Deere JX75 is a gem. I had JX85, the full blown commercial model from 1998-2003. One of the nicest mowers I've ever used.
Joe, agreed on the John Deere JX85. I still own one and would never sell it especially after seeing what's made today. Unfortunately JD is not longer the Company it once was.
