- For the best video experience, we encourage you to wear headphones or earbuds. The audio in this video was recorded with in-ear binaural microphones. Because these microphones record sound from inside the ear, playing the sound through headphones (that also in your ears) gives the sensation of 3D sound. All of this translates to a very realistic listening experience.

I've had my 2014 E250 for exactly 4 years now. This is an ultimate commuter car and nothing more. The torque is fantastic for driving in the U.S., as opposed to my 15 years in Germany where horsepower mattered. Mileage is fantastic, safety features are great, and it is a comfortable and very German ride. My primary complaint is suspension that walks the car out on bumps in corners. That's pretty much it. It doesn't look bad either ;-)
This w 212 facelift is the most beautiful E classe ever and even in this segment classe is the best in my opinion
That interior Contrast is just absolutely beautiful.
Definitely no sporting intention here, but I personally think this might just be the ultimate commuter car.
The thing that amazes me through is the lack of noise from that 4 pot diesel. Even more astonishing is a 4 pot driving this near 4000lb sedan can indefinitely pull the car at city speed without even revving over 2200rpm.
Super comfortable & relaxing, just perfect after a hard day's work. And stll manages high~30s mpg combined too.
What's not to like?
Trades46 This car also has higher steering ratio, so it's very relaxing on the highway.
+Trades46 I have this e250 since 2009 and its super reliable(no problems at all) I daily drive it, and its surprisingly fast on the autobahn, fuel efficient like 6 liters per 100km. My first diesel and not my last!
I have the exact same engine on a new S205 C-Class, though mine is the 220d model, so it has 170 horsepower instead of 204... What I can tell you is this is definitely the ultimate commuter car. They are comfortable, quiet (diesel engine is, indeed, noisier than a gas engine, so the whole car is noisier, but it is absolutely bearable). While driving in town, it never shifts higher than 2200rpm in 1st gear, 1800 in other gears (so you end up travelling at 30mph/50kph at 1.250/1.300 in 4th gear). Entering a highway, accelerating harder, it will indeed shift later, but we are talking about 2.500/2.800 up to 4th gear, then again, no more than 2.200/2.300 (considering that, in Italy, we have a 130kph/80mph speed limit).
This makes it a very relaxing drive all the time, until you push on the throttle; then, yes, it becomes a lot more sporty and agressive.
If you do that, though, the low fuel consumption (5.5l/100 km or 42.77mpg) will indeed go up. Even in that case, though, it will remain between 6.5 and 7.0 l/100km or 33/36mpg.
Trades46 cool
Love the diesel sound, that chug sound, and the clatter.Sounds industrial.
This channel shows me how much fun it is to drive thank you, I can't wait to drive
For MB always thumb up! :)
impressive little engine! Perfectly suits this car's intended function. Great vid guys!
Get the a AMG port package on this and it's prefect, looks amazing, handles beautiful, still comfortable, economical, or too big or too small, build amazing... Perfect car is the e class
5:03 Should have let it roll on in that gear, the torque is surprising. I've driven an older model with the same engine several times and the torque is incredible.
I love the turningsignal Sound 😍😍
Simply the best. MB always the best. I love it.
Nice! Good demonstration of the adaptive Cruise Control. Very, very clever!
Such a beautiful interior 😍😍😍
Its a really nice experience watching your videos.
Wonderfully built German car, basically all German cars especially Mercedes cars are built in such a great way, but there is something about the E-class that makes it my personal favorite, the exterior, interior, engine, design... Just amazing!

this car is really good I love it.
PERFECT CAR!
This thing makes such a satisfying *Wump* sound when the doors close :).
can you please drive the 535d diesel and also the a6 tdi diesel, it would be a great comparison of engine notes
I love this car one of my friends used to have one
If modern day Benzes were just a tad bit more reliable, I'd totally get an E class Bluetec. That's the kind of car I like.
Nice car !!!!!
more mercedes videos please!!!
This diesel sound 🫠 i drove this car some kilometers 🤩
I know 4 cylinder diesel motors were used in Europe in mid to full size sedans for years but I think I'd spring for the E350 Bluetec and ditch the run flat tires they come with. The torque output of this little motor is impressive though.
This E250d engine the W12 is Amazing back in 2011-12 but evern now in 2019 this E250d is still good 210-bhp and 500 Newton's of tourq's that is great power once your over 1,300 rpm....!!!!
good video
My fav mercedes is this gen e class
Maybe I am still a little bit too young for that kind of car, but I think I might like having one!
I want this car soooo bad! :,(
Literally scared the shit outa me when you did the panic stop! I love this car but can't help how it sounds like my old 240d!
Maybe so but I love the sound of this engine
How do u do the driving assist... wanna see if my GL has it
Engine doesn't sound that bad running, but from the outside, when it's idling, it sounds like a lorry.
It's diesel that's why
Im thinking about buying the 2015 e250 , is it a lot more maintenance than a e350?
The best car
6:57 the best moment! :)
This was the last nice looking E-class the new ones are super ugly.
albert7139 I think the 2014 e class (with facelift) was the best looking ever, because it looked modern and sleek but it still had the bulk and strong exterior we knew from the older models, everything newer just looks like a bigger c class.
I agree looks to much like the c class and the s class
albert7139 agreed
But the interiors are better on the new ones
Totally agreed
Maybe it's just me, but I find the gruff diesel engine note somewhat satisfying.
me too. i drove one and it is just a quiet "gruff". very relaxing indeed
maquina mercedes
lima viagens para o seu preço... são os melhores do mundo!...
I don't get the adaptive cruise why do you have to keep your hands on the wheel. Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose lol.
Callum shift? Kind of?
German engineering :)
german engineering is pathetic and you know it.
bokkey45
There are only two types of people that would say something like that. Stupid people or trolls. Which one are you?
LSBonnPower Probably both.
bokkey45 Did you happen to notice the car driving itself or the seamless surround view image on the screen? I guess that type of engineering is pathetic for you. Douche.
LexusboyLS Oh yeah, just like every other japanese car in its class..christ man even HONDAS have the semi-autonomous driving feature in their vehicles these days. Not to mention that Nissan was the first to innovate the around view monitoring technology anyway. I just really don't see anything special with these cars. besides the fact that they have an MB badge on the grille, they really don't bring much else to the table except insanely expensive repair bills.
I honestly thought this Mercedes diesel would be extremely quiet... Afterall, it's an E class, not an A class
Nice interior color - beige/chocolate brown, car seems to have too much road noise.
BTW the driver seems to have cyborg vision as his brain records what he sees & posts it on TH-cam ;-)
+LexusboyLS It doesnt have too much road noise at all, I have one and another car too and its really quiet.
Rd stop stop
Purplefabian mine e350 wagon is extremely quite under 90kph, but once over 90kph, especially cruise around 120kph, the road noise is noticeable. Probably because the sound proofing of the engine and wind noise is so good, and make the road noise a little bit irritating . mine car got amg trim, probably the large alloy wheels also contribute some road noise.
that alarm clock dinger tho...
Which?
It's pretty loud for a new diesel don't you think?
Nah
Not at all
RWD or 4M?
What was your average MPG?
E250 2014 BT (MPG Sity 28 \ HWY 45)
What happens if you steer the steering wheel and your hand flicks the gear stick?
it will only go into neutral, it can't go into reverse or park if you don't press the brakes
Saw last day at the Benz dealer in my town, not the best Mercedes full of electronic features, my uncle had a B class and a MY13 B class not the best deal but it's better for the space..
Why no walkaround of the car in th beginning? :(
There is a separate video for the walk around.
I'm cool
why are the Dash lights flickering?
Even though you made this comment 8yrs ago, it's the camera. It can't pick up the lights due to the frequency. It's called the strobe effect.
Seems noisier than I'd expect for an E Class. I guess that's because of the diesel?
Diesels are a bit noisier than gasoline engines. Also, he started the engine cold.
Tuppoo94 the do
The engine sound in the beginning sounds like a pressure washer
帥喔!
does anyone know what roads those are, because i know its western michigan and i got a new audi s7 and want to max it out lol.
we want the new Genesis 5.0 , thnx
You want the new Genesis. I don't. Don't sat "we" as you don't represent everybody.

Why would someone drive a diesel at usa?
Many drivers in the US have to drive relatively long distances to get to work and major cities tend to be far apart in the Midwest and West. Diesel sedans have excellent range per tank, so it just works.
Michael Rivera good point, but with premium gas at $3 a gallon, I doubt many Mercedes customers will deal with diesel clatter just to save on fuel or get better range. A typical full tank in my car with 93 octane is about $45, which is nothing compared to what Europeans or Asians pay for gas
Here in Turkey we pay 8 dollar per gallon for 95 octane gas..If i were in america i wouldn't drive anything under a V6
Hakan Koçer Gas prices are dropping now and my tank is now about $33! Move here and you can lease an E550 sedan for $700-800 a month and waste as much gas as you want! Insurance and registration is cheap too;)
i wish i could :(
wow, hes driving like my grandma...
Right, with full acceleration and all huh?
Но в целом все равно что делать в результате чего не 66 и 555 или 4 это очень мало и 444 это
Sounds more like a lorry
German Cars are the best! :)
When you see the 3 pointed star on your hood, you know that other people around you are in lesser cars :D
MadProductionsink I think the exact opposite considering mine has been an unreliable raggedy machine.
mostra fora😊
Possibly the worst power-to-weight ratio of any luxury car out there, other than the turbo-diesel XJ.
Really? Just look at the Volvo S80 1.6 D 109 HP :D

Bad NVH.
you could have done the E350
