@@e70_x5_guy4 Expensive is a relative concept. $60k on a car is pretty expensive for someone making $30-40k a year.
Also, in my home country, due to export tax, this easily costs close to $200k.
It's slower than my mom's V6 Accord. Way to go Merc.

why the sound is different than other e300,and the sound is from speakers.
There is no engine sound from the speaker, Merc did this in not a single car.

The new 300 and charger have the zf 8hp and a lot of new gm cars have gm's new 8 speed. They all shift really quick like this.

The video itself is great and I really like the interior of new Mercs but I really hate where the car industry is going. I understand pollution is over the limits but still, I am too much of a petrolhead to care. See, this car is an E300. Anything above 200-300 meant "big engine" in Mercedes' model language a few years ago. Now an E300 stands for a bloody 2 litre 4 cylinder turbo. And the sound it makes in the interior is obviously mostly from the speakers, for me it has a slight V6 flavour in it but it just makes a very unnatural overall noise. All this force induction is killing the joy of driving.
I used to drive a 2 litre Ford Mondeo from 2000, then a BMW 325i from 1997, a Volkswagen Golf III VR6 and more recently a Golf VI GTi. You'd think the new GTi I have is the best one out of these. Couldn't be more wrong. Of course in terms of comfort it's far above all the cars I had earlier but I swear I enjoyed driving my 325i and the VR6 more than this. They sounded extremely nice, built up the power way nicer... They had a soul. They had imperfections while this way more modern Golf way closer to being a perfect all-around car but I just don't like the engine at all after the 6 cyl N/As I had. New cars are like robots.

That sounds like a E400. But, it might have a piped in sound like BMW does with their turbo 4's.

agreed. Quite displeased with what they did as well. It used to be that the e-class was quite unique looking so much so you'd know it was one even if it was a mile away. But now you'd have to see the badge on the rear to tell whether it's the C or E or S class. smh.

Looked to me like the high 6-second range, between 6.5 and 7.0 seconds based on the timestamps in the video. Not slow but also... kinda slow for the price point.
It does 0-60 in 6.2 sec.

The wood trim in this thing is pretty ugly, if I'm being honest.
There are much more attractive options available in the car, have no fear :P
It's painfully obvious Mercedes Benz went for the sound of a V6 for their fake engine sound. This fad needs to go away. I thought BMW and Mercedes Benz were better than this. Apparently not.

Mercedes Benz did a good job on a 4 cylinder engine. It sound like a v6 unlike Honda their 4 cylinder sound like fart!

It sure does. They tuned the fake noise to sound like a V6. A turbo in-line 4 would never sound like that.
Jackmerius Tacktheritrix A 4 cylinder can sound good if you put a good exhaust on it. MB is touting going with a 4 cylinder turbocharged motor for economy but is almost ashamed it's a 4 cylinder so they pipe in fake sounds.
I had BMW that has similar sound. But in real car You hear it slightly different, more crappy.
Exterior looks like a c-class, interior is S-class. I'd rather go for a Audi or Lexus.
