  • This little jewel-box church was a beautiful surprise. The frescoes look like they were painted yesterday. Papasidero is a treasure chest that never stops giving.

What a find! It inspires me to create a small chapel devoted to the Virgin. 💕💕💕

It's great to see that they were able to save this chapel. Another part of your fabulous day. All the noise brought back memories of good times with Italian cousins which could get loud. Chris, thanks so much!

Lovely!! Sad they chapel was forgotten and used as a stall or magazzino for so long. Whoever rediscovered them should be celebrated.

Wonderful thanks Chris, what a shame Christ is damaged. In Reformation frescoes in English Churches were plastered over. In Anghiari years ago was invited for a meal where there was a 14c fresco in dining room surrounded by 1 1/2” plaster!

It is amazing to me that back in the day certain art pieces were not recognized for what they were. What a shame that they plastered them over. But again someone was hired to paint underwear on Michelangelo's figures. No accounting for these ideas.
