Avena is a ghost village (of medieval origin) abandoned about 40 years ago....in the local Church (dedicated to the Holy Trinity) there is a fresco 500 years old. From there you can admire a magnificent panorama. Thank you again.
You gave us a tour of the town, the beautiful church, an old ruin....and now this! Truly impressive. Definitely a place to visit. Of course, it's followed up with a great meal. In the US we'd probably have to be content with a concession stand with hotdogs or a McDonald's. Chris, thanks so much for sharing your day.
