I think that purple colour looks awesome. It's something different from the boring black, white and grey people usually go for
Definitely my pick for that segment and even though it’s 200k you get a lot of car for that. The ultimate performance family car.
Yep, this is what I want for my next car, in that colour too.
Finally saw something I really love! What a car :)
Random fact for the rubber grips in the boot. They are motorised (you can see the motors under the floor when you lift it up) and when you drive up the rubber strips raise so they are above the stainless steel section and grip your luggage even more.
Perfect. Stroller won't be flying around when playing with drift analyser on the way to playground!
Cracking review, well done team!
It's crazy to have a family performance car while your kid at the back saying daddy go faster faster :) Love M3, always my first choice in this segment.
Yesss! If i had the money i would buy it in the same black color u mentioned but unfortunately im poor 😅 but maybe someday ill get it. Im staying positive 🙂
Looks amazing!
Great review
Great review paul, good to see those “limeburners” skills put to good use at your job haha 🤙🤙
Keep up the great work
wow i saw u really are very happy and having so much fun with this car
Just brilliant cars. I’m on my 3rd //M car and they are just amazing to drive
An excellent review.
I own an M3 xdrive and 330i, as a owner of both i can say both are awesome cars- 330i everyday use.. M3 unless you take it to the track there is noway you can feel the power of the car.. cant go fast in our roads, have been very cautious driving it due to the power .. the power is insane, but worth all the money.. have the brooklyn grey with blue and yellow seats- attracts a lot of attention.. both cars are completely reliable and i can vouch for that driven 60k in my 330i
Superb review
Always been a fan of the in line 6!
5 stars for the review.
This is by far the best review of the M3 Touring i have seen yet! (and i have seen many😂)
Good work, thank you!
(Btw, just ordered one…)
There is a Dravit Grey one at my local dealership and it looks gorgeous. Really cool cars. Took me a while, went from not liking the grille to being at peace with it, to now loving how it looks.
Hi Paul, firstly great review. Its become tiring to say great review cause you never drop the ball.
Secondly, I don't like how much fun you are having. Work is not suppose to be this fun lol.
As for the car, well BMW never drops the ball either on M Performance vehicles. Brilliant.
Lordy, simply the one car that does it all.
You are such a big kid! Love your unbridled enthusiasm and joy in this car. Absolutely awesome, well done BMW...
Love to see a comparison to the new Audi rs6 performance even though the Audi is more expensive.
the m3 accelerates better faster 0-100 and faster 1/4 mile however since the rs6 has like 100 ho more and has no limiter like m3 the top speed is better on rs6 overall i would compare it to the diferrence between m3 comp and b5
This is something I could really go for - would definitely buy one for my son & his family if I won Tattslotto!
Question - would you sell the Raptor for one of these Paul?
It’s not an suv, so therefore it’s cool.
after having a golf r wagon I’d absolutely love one of these, shame they’re so pricey 😅
Nice review guys, one small comment I had would be that it would be nice to know if the autonomous / safety systems can be deactivated and whether it's painful to do each time you jump in.
It's something that can make a big difference to the experience if you're constantly having to turn off invasive driving interventions etc
this is very good sport wagon from bmw.
They cant keep up with The orders. Got to love this allrounder!
YOUR BIGGEST KENYAN FAN RIGHT HERE, 31/07/2023
You should have tried Lane Assist for a boring highway drive. It is awesome and makes the Hume Highwsay drive so much more relaxing.
G'day I'm Kevin...always good to see a new video from CarExpert! But $180k for a station wagon (as we call them in Canada)? @22:26 Paul's o-face? :D
Not quite that much in CAD. $159K CAD, or there abouts. Haha
Australian luxury car tax is the main reason for the increased price hike in Australia. Shipping and low volume also worth noting
Please please do a review on 2023 Alpina B3 Touring - thanks in advance
I think the Alpina touring version is more discreet, equally fast but with a more comfortable ride. That would make a great comparison test.
Those are different cars (both great) for different people.
🤣 Paul having a blast. 👍
Must surely be the only new car you can buy in so many non-boring colours. Hooray. And Paul likes black.
Going sideways really puts a smile on one’s face 😅
Definitely a perfect daily all-rounder
Hey Paul, will you be testing the m3 cs when it arrives?
you guys should review the m3 with the manual transmission
Cadbury purple
I want that car with a carbon roof, other than that, this is car perfection, I love that grill...it just looks menacing. I could then stop driving my R8 Track Ed as my daily. They don’t make the Touring with a carbon roof! Apparently BMW think buyers of the Touring would prefer a sunroof. Come on BMW, that’s not the case, it’s a performance car, why wouldn’t we want less weight up high? Seriously who cares about the sunroof?
The trend now to stick larges screen out on scaffold support as a "dash" is horrendous looking. Love the last of the round 'analogue' gauges in my F98 X4M Competition - I needed all of the 200mm clearance to access my driveway so no M3 Touring for me.
Rate the colour. Almost like the midnight purple GTRs and Diablo
Paul, When going from Practicality to on the road, Instead of driving the car. Can you do a startup sound test? especially on performance cars.
You should show the cars at night with the lights on
He has already done a video with BNW laser lights compared to other. And the Skoda LED’s are better.
Miss the wagons we used to have in Oz 🇦🇺 and no not $180k for a wagon 😂
Amazing car. I'd like to see this compared to a C63s and Audi RS4.....a drag race would br epic.
Not sure where you got that weight figure from; the car actually weighs 1865kg, 85kg more than the saloon version.
Still a good review on everything else.
Amazing gotta say, but whats the point of it being a family wagon where the rear legroom looks frankly pathetic
Hallelujah someone made a purple car again! MORE PURPLE CARS PLEASE, CAR MAKERS!
love my g21
What do you think about 2024 BMW X5 40i M Sport?
Hi Paul when are you going to review the new Mazda cx60
Reviewing it today.
Thanks I can’t wait love your videos
It's a bit of a dud! Already driven it. Pass. Oh and the timing chain on the back of the motor - yuck. Also have a look under the bonnet, everything is very tightly packed. One you tuber reports its an engine out for a lot of jobs once the car gets older! Too much unnecessary engine tech for not very good fuel economy in the 6 Petrol.
Is it purple Silk metallic?
Brilliant idea putting a sports car into a family car. Now you can drive like a maniac and be a family person
Why don't you try the opel corsa???
Yeah car is super impressive and I’d love one as a bmw m3 fan but man I’d lose my licence day one with that. If I lived in Germany maybe better but in Australia it’s a total waste of time and money. Such a shame
If we're being pragmatic, any relatively fast car that can go above and beyond 110km/h in Australia is a waste of time and money
Ok, we ignore that grille and this is one of the best looking cars I have ever seen, and that spec, WOW. I genuinely don't think you can do any better if you want a 1 car garage than this ❤️😩 (Except maybe a V12 Ferrari Grand Tourer)
Which purple is this?
What came first, The Bank Job (to pay for this car) or The Get Away Car? (needed to pull off the Bank Job)
The laugh at @28:56 says it all 😆
I want one..😆
BMW slipped up in the drivers customization in the m1/m2 buttons you cannot programe either of those with the M head up display. What's the point in having M1/M2 if they are not fully customizable🤔
Must be a very good car because it scored 14 on the Paul Maric Unrealometer.
Why are the auto safety features not standardised to meet compliance, like why do we have to pay for premium vehicles to get what should be standard and functional. I.e. this one does all 3 lanes of auto steering, whilst other brands are dangerous on flatlands other traffic...?
Definitely what I'd be buying if I won lotto, Looks run of the mill station wagon but performs anything but. Could BMW tempt you out of the Supra Paul?
technoviolet is such a classic bmw colour looks great on the m3
The Purple Pig nose.
High powered performance wagons are always a win but still just cannot get past the grill.
Run Flat tyres? What about a BMW M5 CS Paul "Matt" Maric Help me CarWow
Ignoring price, would you pick this or an RS6?
Rs6 much prettier
i likes the blueberry muffin with white chocolate and a m3 wagon
These cars would sell in big numbers if Australia had an autobarn like Germany
legit and not like we don’t have the space for it😭
we have speed limits in our autobarns, otherwise the chicken would go crazy 😋
Aren’t there over 130 Autobarns in Australia? 😂
Sorry but these premiere notifications are just a waste of time. They go to subs who get a notification anyway. Am I misunderstanding something here?
We use them when there is an embargo and we aren’t allowed to publish ahead of a specific time.
@@CarExpertAus it worked well, gave me something to look forward to & it was well and truly worth the wait....just wish i could somehow order one before it's too late!
I'd pay abit more and get RS6
I have a ZB Commodore wagon (similar rear shape) and the rear window gets filthy! I think it's because of the overhanging body (spoiler?) that creates vortices and drags the dust in
paul, have you an OCD about cleanliness? the car is just fine
Commenters often call it out. Not much we can do about it.
But where is the Kona review?
These reviews are focused for Australia and so why on earth are you guys always talking about blasting down the Autobahn 😂
Hi Paul, Could you do a detail review of the X3 M Competition 2023 Please. Thanking You Kindly Alex
OK!
Good Engine Car BMW M3 Touring
180k 🥵🥵🥵🥵😱😱😱😱
So basically BM DOUBLE U are advocating putting little Johnny in his baby bjorn strapped in the back seat and Daddy does some drifting around Campbellfield.?
The perfect car. Will need a racing harness for my doggo and a tow bar for my tinny.
My opinion. The oversea only G20 340i estate just looks far far better than this.
Yeah Id prefer to pick up a slightly used Audi S4 Avant, give it a few mods...get 90% of the performance, arguably better looks and save 100K. Anyway, these are kind of pointless, we have speed camera trailers around ever second corner where I live, having a performance car almost seems silly in this day and age...unless of course you do track days quite often.
@@Legotechs Yes an S4 is less than 90% of a G80 M3, but if you can actually read I said a modified S4. A Stage 2 B9 S4 runs around 11.2-11.3 quarter which is pretty similar to an X-Drive M3...so yeah 90%...flog.
For the vast majority of people it is. Of course handling and braking are important, and again, for not much money this can be vasty improved on the S4@@Legotechs
Very weirdly speced m3. Who configurated this thing??? I mean… no privacy glas and also the exterior carbon pack is a must.
Enough germs man cars where my JDM ZRV? SCROSS? CROSSTREK?
$180k and a plastic water pump. Oh Lord I guess they'll con a few wood ducks.
The question is: what is the asking price for that part?!
@@thakillerb 😊😂
This car has 2 water pumps , mechanical and electric
As somebody who has never had a Mercedes and only has BMWs (including a prior m3) and Porsches I just can’t get over that hideous screen - it’d be a c63 (I can’t believe I said that) or rs6 (bigger but they’re nice) or a taycan cross turismo I just couldn’t look at that sceeen every day 😢
The Kardashians were driving matte black cars in the aughties. It is played out. Get the purple.
Yeah purple with a carbon roof, I'm assuming that's an option. I love the matt black, but this purple has been completely hooked.
Why is it that when every TH-cam car journo shows Apple Car Play they have dozens of missed calls and text messages? Do you guys deliberately ring your own number and get dozens of texts sent just to make it look like you are busy?! I have dozens of customers across the whole APJ region and I never have a backlog of calls or texts like that!! 😁😉
Who has money for this with the cost of living.
Much more realiable than a VW i guess.
If I'm spending this much coin, rather get the Allina b3 wagon for its exclusivity. Will never be able to afford it regardless.
drove a rental 320 in Melbourne recently; I almost had to come to a standstill when going over speed humps. If M3 is as firm or even more firm, it is way too firm
What's your point? 🤔Pointless comment. If you don't like sport cars, then go ahead and buy Lexus/Volvo/Skoda, you will be happy while I won't be commenting that they drive like sofas.
@@B4ndItOo You should be aware that I previously owned a lifted Jeep Wrangler and yes it was firmer on the road however, it was no way near as sharp over speed bumps nor, cracked roads. I was happy to live with it, the BMW I am not so sure. I don't live in Germany
@@videowsatcher I live in a country with pretty bad roads and owned or currently have various sports cars, with M3 being rather on the softer side. Even much harsher car I’m currently daily driving including 3h trips and I’m perfectly fine. Even For my wife M3 in comfort mode is fine.
But so what? You have different expectations from cars, that’s fine. I spent years getting accustomed to the compromises my car’s preferences require.
Normal 3 series FOR ME is annoying and doesn’t handle good enough, BUT I’m not complaining in the reviews of that kind of cars that they are too soft. They aren’t. They are carefully designed to much given demographic preferences. I mean I’m nitpicking on your phrase “it’s way too firm” like you were stating a fact. M3 is not too firm. It’s a really great compromise for a daily driver too most people that would like to have it.
Sell the Y and the ranger and buy it!
180k for something that will just be a rust lump in about 12years. Obviously, some people have more money than sense!!! my last BMW rusted from the inside out and I’d never have another because of that and the ridiculous price, and you’ve gotta pay more for safety features that come standard on most Korean cars now!
Maybe because you live close to the ocean? Not even a little rust can be found in my 17 YO Saab 9-3 (maybe just in the exhaust system) and they are not even on par with BMW in build quality.
Gorgeous colour. Who wants black, so dated
Great exterior but these flat screens dropped onto a conventional shaped dash (that have evolved exclusively alongside old school instrument binnacles) look terrible. I’m not sure I’ll ever prefer a screen over old-school dials but, if it is a screen, at least design it as an integrated part of the dashboard. Or maybe no one in the car industry has the imagination or energy to design a new bulkhead & dashboard!?
