Order of 1st application: Adam's, 3D, Meguiar's Order of 2nd application (shorter dwell time than first application): Adam's. Meguiar's, 3D Average length of dwell time for both applications (longest to shortest): Adam's, 3D, Meguiar's So your results directly correlate to the dwell times. To even out the dwell times the second application should have been Meguiar's, 3D, Adam's and they need to sit a bit longer before agitation. I use the Meguiar's diluted 2 parts water, 1 part cleaner and usually 2 applications with agitation get the tires black, but then again I only use water based tire dressing. I have yet to find anything that beats the Bleche White formulation from the 90s. Great video none the less.
Ohyea D143 is the shit, I use it in my IK foamer. I'd like to try some of the D140, but that's overkill for me lol, I keep my wheels cleaned every week so I could just use hand soap and a rag to knock any brake dust off, but chemicals are fun
Adams is strong. You can dilute that at least 2:1 or more and still get as good of results. It also works great in a foam sprayer, which helps use less product.
I love yellow degreaser, but just like the video shows- it doesn’t really foam up and dries out quicker than others. But- I buy it for $16/gallon at a local 3D. Does a fantastic job, orange degreaser is my second choice
They’re similar but the yellow works well as an interior product diluted 20:1, great on carpets 10:1, spot treatments on stains 5:1. You can also run it in your extraction machines 20:1 for any carpet & fabric cleaning. It’s a PH of 7 so no need to neutralize after using it on interiors. Short answer yellow interior, purple exterior tires, road grime, engine bays, wells etc.
Appreciate the comparison! That Adams looks very effective. I've been using the 3D yellow myself and it hasn't disappointed, I like its price and I like how it's a very safe chemical according to the SDS, willing to sacrifice a little effectiveness for those other two qualities
Adams is worth it when you take advantage of their discount coupons and they have the option when yo search the product where you get the gallon and you get a free 16oz as well so definitely worth it
The thing is that when you spray the water you do it at the adams side so the cleaning is more powerful at that side, not defending any brand just an observation
Adams is what I use. I have P&S Brake Buster and that's an "OK" product and foams pretty good, but the Adams blows P&S AWAY by far for heavier dirt on wheels and tires. P&S is a good option for weekly maintained wheels & rims, but I still prefer the Adams. Adams is pretty darn good and I think a reasonably good value. Plus Adams run sales all the time so you can get it on discount quite often making it a good value.
Bro you ever notice with P&S and Adam’s wheel cleaners both they’re nozzles shoot a straight stream? That’s on purpose. Use a whole bottle to do 4 tires
Be interesting to compare adams to TW Foaming wheel cleaner it does really well on rubber but Im not sure if it was diluted or not. In videos ive seen. Def Adams for the win, if you could get similar at 2:1 it would be outstanding
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa is there a big difference between the orange and yellow degreasers? I've read that you can use orange on tires and rims as well, I'm not sure which is better..
I have not. It's been reviewed to death and the marketing and paid sponsors make it seem way better than it really is. It's not a bad product but is not very strong compared to these 3.
@@lynxestxmp1932 I see! Well Adams would work the best, but for iron fallout from break dust that has been there for a while you will wanta wheel cleaner with iron remover. meguiars ultimate all wheel cleaner or turtle wax rapid decon would be best for that!
ive found Adam's to be the better cleaner. as an enthusiasts i wash every week so ive found that brake buster works well enough and is better cost effective...
To make them weaker cleaners? No thanks. If I did that, Adam's is full strength and the other two would have been considerably weaker. Adam's would have done even better than it did.
All 3 are great performers. Which is going to work best for you?
Spray Nine!! $4 a bottle and kicks ass!!
Nice demonstration, thanks for the video!! 🔥🔥

ADAMS TOTALLY KICKED ASS! Your videos are so helpful and thorough! Thanks! BTW what SHOULD one use on tires with aluminum wheels?
Citrus degreasers work well on tires without concern of the run off quickly causing damage to the aluminum
D143 is by far my favorite wheel & tire cleaner. The only other one I use is Meguiars D140 when they are really bad 4:1

I just learned that Adams can be diluted 1 : 1 or 2 : 1, now it's a bargain.
@@tedroesch91331:1 would be for strong initial usage. For normal maintenance washes you can go ever further.

At my local 3d, I bring the empty gallon of the yellow degreaser and pay a 9 or 11dollar refill

Love Adam’s , thanks for the vid
Adam’s I have used it straight up, but am going to try 1. / 1. Instead

Try ZEP heavy duty cleaner citrus 50/50 and wow works great, floor mats and tires and wheels I use it on my TRX RAM
Would you recommend 3D yellow Degreaser on expensive black aftermarket rims or is there something else you would recommend for them?
I'd reccomend an iron removing wheel cleaner such as 3D BDX
Cool. Thanks
I've been using Optimum Power Clean 3:1, but I may try a stronger dilution.
I hate those stubborn tire shines people put on their tires...

Absolutely. It's no contest with Adams as far as it's cleaning power.
Bro you ever notice with P&S and Adam’s wheel cleaners both they’re nozzles shoot a straight stream? That’s on purpose. Use a whole bottle to do 4 tires
I never use wheel cleaners with their default nozzles. Buy bulk, and buy a sprayer that spreads the product wide.
It's just too thick of a product for those sprayers. Needs to be diluted with water

tw hyper foam doesnt seem to be quite as strong on tires. though eventually if i get a dirty enough wheel again I might be able to compare them
Adam for sure!
3d yellow degreaser is safe to use on gloss black alloy wheels?
Yes as long as they are cool to the touch

What are you currently using?
@Steve L the 3 in this video. Adams is my favorite and I will get it on sale. But regular use is 3D, I can get it wholesale at a great price.

Which one is good for dust ?
any of them will work for dusty wheels and tires

So in my opinion it looked to me that you spayed quite a bit more Adams than the other two.
The amount of product does not matter so much as long as the product has completely saturated the area
spray nine is the best!
Adams was 1:1 solution , but how about 3 D ?
They were all 1:1
Now this a show down i have megs and was going to buy 3d next.
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it!
Adams makes some good products. Problem is their price point.
Gotta watch for those sales!
You guys are lucky as in Canada the Adams is 85.00
canada gets bent over backwards on pricing
Them calfs 😍

Adams is cheaper if you don’t have to do it twice!
Looks like the Adam's won.
yup, takes the cake for me. ive gotta test it against hybrid solutions hyper foam now.
