    Please make a video convincing my parents to let me buy a bike, I'm 18 and want an R3 -a relatively underpowered bike and my parents are scared of the safety issues even though I'm spending my own money on it. Love the videos bro ❤

      Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith and go for it even if your parents are against it, I was the same way bro made a whole presentation and everything, nothing is going to “convince” a parent to put their child at a higher risk of injury/ death. If you just buy the bike and prove to them you’ll be safe and take the steps necessary eventually they will trust you. I bought the bike did the paperwork and got a storage unit and hid it for a bit , it’s all about how bad you want it, not everyone’s parents are the same tho

    Hi bro , about exhaoust:
    When you change the exhaoust did you make some dyno or ECU changes on the R7 ?
    Or just installed and RIDE a motorcycle ?

      @@SHIMARKO it does have a tendency to stall cuz it runs lean but as long as I keep the revs high for a bit keeping the motor warm it’s good. Def recommend a tune if ur going full system.

      Hi, How do we reset oil light on Yamaha R7 after oil change ?

  • @VS-yv8yk
    @VS-yv8yk 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    By any chance your bike not always start and you have to do a 2nd try in order to get it on? Not sure if it's normal on this bikes or if it actually an issue and then claim the warranty

    • @RickyMoto
      @RickyMoto  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sometimes it has to crank longer to start after letting it sit for a while, and after oil change it also sometimes takes a few cranks just cuz the oil needs to cycle through. But if it’s a consistent issue then u should check ur spark plugs and ignition coils, along with battery cuz I had a bike b4 that always had trouble starting and once I changed those out it started up fine. Another trick that helps start is to give a bit of throttle while also pushing the bike holding the clutch while in gear which starts it up easier compared to staring in neutral on a standstill

      @@RickyMoto thanks, the bike is new, just got it like 3 weeks ago, I have noticed that not always the sound from the gas pump is audible after turnoning the key, feel like the ignition switch might not be good

    Your first oil change. How many miles did you change it or u waitied for the OIL ligjt indicator?. Mine just hit the first break in @500 miles. No light yet

    • @RickyMoto
      @RickyMoto  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First change should happen at 600 although I waited til 700. The light never came on yet and I haven’t reset it. I assume it’ll come on every 3-5k mikes ish cuz that’s the standard interval time. Although I’ve heard it could come on around 1k for the first service

      @@RickyMotowhen you say running lean . Does it mean the bike is not running as smooth ? Will it hurt if you leave it as is ?

    • @RickyMoto
      @RickyMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@yessigonzalez8187 i wouldn’t say it’s necessarily bad, but it isn’t great either. it means the bike isn’t getting enough fuel which a tune will correct it. the only downside is that it might have trouble starting and potentially stall. absolute worse case scenario is overheating in the engine but as of currently the temperatures are freezing so i’m not too worried about it. i do plan on getting it tuned correctly by the spring as it starts warming up. it runs fine as is currently only gets slightly choppy in the lower rpm where i have to rev it up a bit to keep it from stalling, but once i’m going it runs normally since there’s enough fuel to keep it going when i’m throttling it up

    You need to check the oil on even ground (not on the rear stand), you should never reuse a crush washer, and be careful using those K&N filters. I have had two of those filters fail on me and blast oil all over my bike and car. They started leaking where the nut seals to the filter. I will never use them again. Just stick with the OEM filters.

    • @RickyMoto
      @RickyMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks for sharing! personally i never had issues with k&b if torqued down to proper torque. but also on all my bikes i always rid them before it hit like 2/3k miles so i don’t have enough long term experience to see the longevity/reliability of such parts

  • @alexv5581
    @alexv5581 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You better check you are still under warranty. Yamaha is very picky and will void your warranty if you don't use OEM products, trust me. Yamaha won't tolerate putting a K &N filter on their Japanese machine lol
    Also the first service isn't just an oil and filter change. Its a brand new machine that needs to be inspected from throttle bodies to bolts being in the spec. Its clear to see in the service manual. First service is very important to set up your beautiful machine for a long life, always worth it in my opinion. Afterwards you can do DIY.

    • @RickyMoto
      @RickyMoto  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn’t get additional warranty and I don’t really worry about voiding warranty with the way I plan to build it
