    Hi Steve we just love the simple design of these pegs never seen them anywhere but when we went to order these they only make them for 2009 and up
    We have two Harley Fatboys an 07 and an 08 and they don't make them no one does that we know of
    We also don't like crash bars they are ugly and when we saw the CIRO 3D highways pegs we were over the moon till we looked and only make 09 and up
    Cheers Tony and Sonya Murray

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes unfortunatly its harder to find parts like this for anything older than an 09...the frames changed on most models in 09...hit up ciro and see if they plan on making anything for the older bikes..I haven't heard anything though.

    Great video ... I've been eyeing these the last week or two for a cleaner look but I'm concerned about clearance issues for hard cornering. I don't see how the bottom piece where it connects to the top piece wouldn't hit the ground before the floor board. I saw one review where the guy stated it was hitting before the floor board. At least the floor board pivots but that other piece is solid. I can't seem to find any solid info. I even emailed Ciro and never got a clear answer, only that the mount area is no lower than the piece it replaced.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Mark these are no thicker than the normal board brackets. They just have the extra bit on the end for the extension part. They seem a lot better built than the OEM ones but no thicker..you should be fine.

  • @lalalalaaaaaable
    @lalalalaaaaaable ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks comfortable and different than all the highway bar mounts. But I'm already scrapping those floor boards on corners. These would limit the lean angle even more for me.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  ปีที่แล้ว

      well...not really...as these go out away from the bike it takes a much larger lean to reach them. The farther away from the bike the more angle you need to hit them...and the bases are still at the same mounting height as stock.

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      On this bike I didnt use spacers. I got longer screws. I added all 4 screws in and went in a cross pattern when tightening it down. I did this until it was snug. The hole edges are tapered in so to get it straight I just did the cross pattern. Its been like that for 3 years. No vibration, never came loose...and I didnt have to mess with sanding down spacers to fit.

      @sikbaggers  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Dave..they do have the extended reach arms in the menu as an option that I belove is another 1/5 or 2 inches added to the arm...Im 6 foot and they normal ones are super comfortable for me..i can fully put my foot on there locking my heel in or just slightly turn my foot and have heel on board and toes on the pegs. Its really about the only option for full on pegs that dont attach to your bars...I've been running them for about 4.5 years and love them. I dont know of there is a video out there showing the difference on the two arm lengths though. When I got them they didn't have that option at the time.

      these go right where your floor board is now and goes up from there. Without it hanging any lower than your board it will not interfere with leaning.

    Anyone installed these with pingel floorboard extenders on your bike ? These are the ones that move floorboards out 1 1/4". Thanks Miike

      Hey Michael, Ive waited to see if anyone responded here and I dont see anyone yet...I'd give Darren a call over at Ciro...Im sure someone has asked him or maybe they have seen this combo at a rally...he would know for sure i'd think. Call ciro and click through to service or ask for Darren

      @@sikbaggers Hi Steve thanks for responding, I talked to Darren and he said I would have to get some spacers equal to what my floorboard extenders are, in my case that would be 1.25" which I'm ok with as long as the floorboards don't get flimsy on me. I already ordered and received the highway pegs, didn't install yet as I'm waiting on this Wisconsin weather, I'll let you know how it turns out. I sure don't want to give up my extenders.

    How much lean angle do these kill?

    • @sikbaggers
      @sikbaggers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      why would they kill any lean angle? All your doing is replacing the floorboard bracket with one that has this peg mount on it and it comes out on the top of the bracket and then extended out at an upward angle away form the bike. If you werent scraping your stock boards you wont scrape these.

      @@sikbaggers Thanks.. That's what I needed to know.. Unfortunately, I REGULARLY scrape my floorboards (U-Turns, Some Corners, Full Lock turns, and general Practicing [Been riding 60 years and I practice on a regular basis] ) These are too nice to scuff up (not to mention not cheap!). And the second downside is that according to their website, they won't fit an '08 Ultra Classic...Damn!
      Oh well! Thank you for the great content you bring to your videos. I enjoy them tremendously.

      Hey Chris...I have done some videos for sponsored products from ciro however these were purchased and installed well before that. If you check out my latest video on the biker bar you will see I still have these on my bike to do. I shot this video 4 years ago. Also, whether I'm sponsored our not on a product I shoot straight from the hip...if its trash I will tell you. Please dont hesitate to ever ask me a question about a product I have on my channel .This video is new and start at 9 minutes where you can see these are still being used today. I love them! th-cam.com/video/E-YPhnh7Cfw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8gkD4DUKas5mamal&t=543 ..thanks for checking it out!
