I used to have such extreme focus in 8th grade, I had study sessions going for 3 hours without a single break and I was actually engaged and interested. But I don't know what has gotten into me, I struggle to get myself to sit and study. I am so ready for this focus training. I really wanna show up for myself. Another 10 minute habit that's helped me is to create a 10 minute "ritual" that you associate specifically with being productive. For me it's clearing off my desktop making a pot of really strong black tea, and lighting a candle that I only use while working at my desk. While I wait for my tea to steep (~5 minutes) I make a list of three (no more than three or I get overwhelmed and don't do anything!) things to get done. One bonus about making a pot of tea is that it takes me roughly an hour to drink the entire pot, so I automatically know it's time to take a break when I get to the end of the pot :)
You could do anything though, just a 10 minute ritual that you always do before being productive, so that your brain can "switch gears" into productive mode.

thank you so much for these videos you make. i feel so seen and heard when i come across your videos and they remind me that i'm not the only one going through these struggles as a teen. if u haven't already, please make a video on how to stop running after perfection. perfectionism wastes my time, effort and im not able to stop doing the same thing over ad over again until its perfect, for eg, a sketch or a painting. and i'm not even good at art, so that makes it even worse. please do consider this idea.

In 10 minutes, if you don't find something to focus on, we'll procrastinate. OVERCOME THE INITIAL HURDLE(10mins). Set timer for 10 mins to focus

I am a med student, and for my biochemistry exam, which you know very well it is one of the hardest, I used rule n 2 without knowing it was a rule, I just thought, every time I started studying ad wasn't very focused, "ok, now I watch a clash Royale video and then I get to study"

The problem with pomodoro is that you can't get into flow state within 25 mins. Flow state takes me about 15 mins for me to get into and I don't want to take a break in 10 mins just to take 15 mins to get back into flow state.
Step1:
• Plan for focus
• Plan tasks 1 hr before bed
• Break it to simple tasks
Step2:
• If Hard to start focusing
• Set 10 min alarm
• Try to start focus within it
Step3:
• Set break between focus sessions
• Follow Pomodoro Technique (25/5 or 50/10)
• During breaks detach yourself completely from the focus

1. Invest 10 minutes to plan what you are going to do
2. If you cant focus, you are allowed to procrastinate (but in ten minutes;)
3. 10 minute break for every hour of work (or 5 minute break for every 25 minutes)
time to put it to the test
