“The fact that you’re stressed out about something means that you care.” That comforts some part of me
Sending you support and positive vibes, rookie! Hope you are doing alright!
@@CajunKoiAcademy doing really well! Had a tough fall semester but this semester has been wonderful!! I appreciate all the habit-building tips that have given me a lot more energy and focus in my life 💖

Caught red-handed procrastinating rn 😭🖐
Im 16 yr old rn, and have wasted most of my life, despite attempts to better myself, i found myself procrastinating, my exams are in 2 weeks and i absolutely lack the motivation to study although i want to however, it is for naught as i fail countless times, this feeling of hopelessness is insane but i have been able to slowly recover thanks to some previous vids of yours such as dopamine detox, etc. I just wanna say, thank you for this, had i not come through this, i wouldn't have been able to start making a change in my life. Much love man 👍
I am so proud of you! Keep giving your best, and keep moving forward!
Keep me posted on your progress! 🙏🏻
I’m fifteen and in the same boat. It’s annoying but we’re getting to the life we want one step at a time.

if procrastination is our habit to relief ourselves from stress, then procrastination is a coping mechanism
Yes procrastination is not a problem, it is a solution. (That was the original title of our video). It is a solution that our brain relies on to quickly solve the problem of being stressed
The editing, writing and general effort put in this video is once again insane. So fun to watch and so informational at the same time. I´m trying to finally get out of this depressive phase of my life which I´ve had for a few years now and your channel really helps. Thanks.
Hope you are doing better now!
Remember that you aren't alone and I got your back.
Good luck, and keep trying your best!

the self-realization is crazily accurate in this video. breaking down the reason for my unproductivity thankful!

Thank you for helping...❤
The point about having your ego guide your thoughts is very true. I suffer from it almost the same way you had, I hated how I write my stories but now seeing other people struggle the same way and come out it, gives me hope that maybe I am good at it too. Digging deeper I relaised many of friends like my writing and I was just beating myself to keep their expectations that way. Thank you man for opening my eyes! I really love your content.
Thanks for sharing your story! It's awesome that reflection led to such a positive realization.
That's one of our goals: To get people thinking and realizing their own power. Way to go, rookie! You are on the right track!

@@CajunKoiAcademy Thank you!!! I never even thought you would reply to my comment and actually be proud of how far I have come. I am really thankful for your videos, they never fail to help me out. Procrastination is a bad habit that can be broken, and it's driven by the Habit Loop, which includes a cue, craving, routine, and reward. Procrastination often arises from the desire to escape stress or negative emotions. Addressing the craving, routine, and cue can help break the procrastination habit.
Highlights
Procrastination is a habit that can be broken, similar to other bad habits.
The Habit Loop consists of a cue, craving, routine, and reward.
Procrastination often occurs due to a craving to escape stress or negative emotions.
To overcome procrastination, address the craving by improving mood, such as through therapy, sleep, exercise, diet, and sunlight.
Modify routines by implementing "if-then" strategies to catch and stop procrastination.
Reprogram thoughts about cues by identifying and changing underlying beliefs, often related to ego and fear of failure or imperfection.
Addressing the cue, craving, and routine can help break the procrastination habit.
damn 1 minute is crazy

Your content is pure gold. You guys are making the most genuine authentic content, me and my friends can relate to everything being medical students from India.

Your videos are amazing as always and, you have published this on the right time!!
When I saw the title of the video I saved it to WATCH LATER ..🤐
That was really, REALLY helpful!! The style of editing and clear information on top it’s just amazing. Thanks a lot for your effort ❤️🔥
Thanks for liking the video!
By the way, on a scale from 1 to 10, how familiar are you with the techniques discussed? Is this information entirely new to you?
If 10 would be completely new, then 8. Because I knew some stuff but not much however you’ve added a lot of nice and important history and details to it 🙌
Oh thats interesting! Adding details helped clarify the concepts for you, then?@@sofiahatsura6451
It is actually helpful. Thank you ❤
I really do struggle with procrastination, like alot and I'm in grade 8. I do feel miserable after not doing anything for the whole day however I still can't get myself to to get up. Laziness? Also, can you make a video about how to get better at maths, because that is one subject I particularly procrastinate for. What you said was so true, the fear of not being able to solve the equations keep me from trying and eventually lead to procrastination.
Great video, thanks! I'm improving my habits currently and taking small steps in order to procrastinate less. This really helped me to understand how to get there!
Small steps 👌 one habit video at a time
This video is the greatest video I have seen lately in many ways: delivery, video and audio editing and above all in the content. The analysis of procastination done in this video and the advises given to overcome it are so great. Thank you very much, Mike and Matty, for this video.

The concepts in this video sorta remind me of the book, Atomic Habits by James Clear.
I love Atomic Habits! Many of our tips are inspired by that book.

Hi Matt and Mike , you can also delve on the topic if you still haven't " If you want to achieve your goals don't focus on them rather focus on the prcodeure"
Reference: Reggie Rivers
Take opportunity, and risks. Because getting told how to fix proscratination, It’s not sustainable. When you keep getting experience and action -> Habit will form. Experience definitely will build me. My opinion thankyu.😊
Atomic habits is such a great book

mp100 mentioned -> i like the video
Hi there! Im a 13 year old student and ive been watching your videos, they seem bundled up with tons of stuff that have the potential to greatly help me, and they did boost my productivity in studies overall and id like to say thank you so much for that but, at the same time im also pretty confused. Ive seen you and your brother explain a lot of methods and mention maybe even combining some. My confusion is because ive watched so many videos on so many different methods but i dont reall know at all what a structured routine or a study session of those would look like in my daily normal 2 hour study sessions, if you could maybe just tell me a simple and structured way to study daily with with clear instructions on what to do at what stage and in what order and how it would like in a typical 2 hour study session, that would be very greatly appreciated, and please give me suggestions as well of you feel like it. Anyways i hope you can find the patience to tolerate my dumbness and answer this question since my brain cant really comprehend what these would look like in a routine for me, have a beautiful day :).
Hi, glad they are helpful! this is a loaded question because we don't think there is an exact one way to do it. Everyone's study system will look different based on so many factors (like your grade level, brain type, home environment, etc). We work with students directly in Study Quest to figure out a system that works for you. But to give you hopefully a helpful answer, in your 2 hour study sessions, make sure you are maximizing your time and not wasting it away doing things that don't help you. This is done through training your focus and building habits to keep you consistent. You can check out our videos on focus and habits. That's building the foundation. It's like physical stamina or cardio for athletes. Once you have that, then you can start experimenting with some study techniques from our Ultimate Study Skills series and incorporate that into the GROW Method. Consider using our free Notion template for that. This would be the fastest way to start. Building your learning system is a journey in itself, with lots of self -reflection and figuring out what works for you. Hope that helps you get started
same, and thanks Matty and Mike!
Been there done that
I already have a threapist but im still sad and stressed as hell.
Lol have you talked to your therapist about the therapy not working. Sometimes even a good therapist just doesn’t have the education for your particular problems or they decide to try a different therapy.
Started with tloz and now I'm into it.
How's it going for you so far? 👀
@@CajunKoiAcademy Great! Had to grab an Amazon package that got delivered to me today and now imma start with Physics.

5:12 wait so were not going to talk about how better help sells your information, and profits off of your mental problems.Okay just asking.
I have a problem that when I solve questions I make a mistake even though I know the correct answer and why it is correct that it really bothers me
I'm reviewing the questions, but that didn't work.
so can you tell me what to do

Hi, any tips if can work on a task for 5/hr with minor breaks …so can’t handle 2 or more projects/goals simultaneously?
Take 10 minutes of break every hour, this will help you sustain focus. Good luck
@@CajunKoiAcademy thanks ….yes, I do that… my issue is how to give time to other goals too. I plan to give 30 minutes or so but then I kind of continue doing that.. may be my issue is “extreme deep work ”🤓
Cue: Alarm goes off
Me: Starts to procrastinate
*Goes to plan B*

this better help is 65$ per week, still very expensive

Hi Mike , I have request for you can you please help me with that I am having problems in my studying process because I don't try to study actually the thing is that whenever a test came I was like " I am not studying it's ok what will happen" and deep down I know that I can do it if I work but I didn't work hard, the problem is that I don't feel guilty for not preparing for the test and at end because I used to be a good student I tell myself " I didn't get marks because I didn't want them or else I know how to get marks " I don't have this reward feeling from my grades now
Thank you for reading this long message lots of support 💕
The rewarding feeling should not come from getting the good grades, it should ideally come from the act of learning and following your curiosity
@@CajunKoiAcademy I am having the same problem... i know if i work hard i can achieve all but the problem is that i don't feel guilty... i feel some what guilt only before few hours from test or exam.. idk what should i do 😔
I know my mistakes... i thing everytime i won't do that but goes on doing the same thing ever and ever again
Just leaving this here cuz im procrastinating
I'm just so tired already, I keep feeling tired, and with that I always end up procrastinating. Im not even doing much but i constantly feel tired, that I'd always prefer to procrastinate
I dunno, i didnt want to live anyway it was just like i was thrown into this stupid world without my permission. I'm not even past 20s but I feel like I'm already in my 60s like i just wanna rest already.
Can we also blame laziness for procrastination ,apart from stress?
😂😂
You really called me out.
👀
i literally watch so much of these vids but i think watching them itself is becoming a bad habit
Uh oh. That's not good. 🥲
One way to help you control this would be to allow a certain time block for videos and forcing yourself to write what you learn and then applying it throughout the day or the next.
You aren't allowed to watch the next unless you apply at least one lesson from the previous one.
Good luck, rookie. Try your best and stand up for yourself and a brighter future. You got this!
@@CajunKoiAcademy thank you 😁😁
Cue craving response reward
I felt really called out 4:00 . I'm supposed to be studying yet I'm watching a bunch of videos for productivity 😅
This is a sign to close TH-cam and study! 👀🔥 ((You can watch our videos during your breaks, haha))
For some, it can be a habit, but for most, it is not. It's psychological.
I'm procrastinating right now 😩
thank you for this vidoe, but can you make or is there any video about how to be productive as woman in our manstruation? it would help alot of us:)
I actually feel stronger and full of energy on my period when I’m healthy. Often times period symptoms are part of larger issues in the body that can be fixed with simple changes. Other times people have long-term issues that haven’t been addressed and it takes awhile for the body to recover. There’s information about it online I feel like the world would be a better place if more women knew they weren’t stuck feeling bad on their periods lol.
I agree. Symptoms such as lethargy, irritability, etc. are either hormonal/chemical imbalances, so priority should be on:
Prioritize Self-Care: Make sure that you are having adequate rest and managing stress through relaxation techniques.
Nutrition: Maintain a balanced diet with iron-rich foods for energy.
Breaks and Movement: Take short breaks for physical activity to boost mood and reduce fatigue.
Task Planning: Organize tasks based on energy levels, tackling more demanding ones during peak energy times.
Let me know if I've missed anything. 🙏🏻
