    Beautiful bag and I love watching your care and attention to detail. As a bag collector it makes me appreciate the skill and thought that goes into my bags.I don't care for tuck locks at all, but this could be left out on this bag just fine. Bravo!! Another design idea: have the D rings on the back of the bag rather than the side, like US Mail Bags. This keeps the bag hugging the body as you carry it.

    It is a good diaper bag with a lot of room. It is on the bigger side, but that is what I was looking for. I have been using it for a couple of months and it seems sturdy.

    Small oddball tip
    When using Chicago screws, set screws, any screw really. Hit it with hairspray before screwing it down. Works kind of like locktite, but it's clear and easier to break free for replacement or repair.

    Hey Parker, great video!! I brought the pattern and am working on the bag now! I was wonder about when you glue and stitch the front panel to the gusset. Is the glue just there to stop the pieces from moving around when stitching? I see you glue only the very edge of the pieces then stitch pretty far up from it. Thanks!

    When I did this as a trade we lined the insides of the bags with a hot iron. I still miss and can even imagine the smells of my old workshop. The four of us had to produce 48 of these bags in five days besides 200 sporran purses and I only got paid £23.50...

    Glad to see you use glue sticks to apply, bc brushes are so inaccurate. I find the marks made by the feet of most machines objectionable and *scream “machine stitched”- so you must be carefully adjusting yours (tho your stitch lines could be straighter).
    I’m liking your welcoming of BOTH inside and reversed stitching on your bag- makes the front look best, IMHO- tho *I’d be tempted to add a foot to each front corner to accommodate the difference in standup.

    • @whitandpark
      @whitandpark  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Maru, thank you! That means a lot. I'm not sure if i'll be doing that zip top one. After using the bag a bit it had some issues with the pattern and if I do it, i'll need to re-do the pattern. So it might be a while but i'll consider picking that one up again:)

    Sure do love this video! Just picked up the pattern and I think I am going to give it a try! Do you think it would work out alright with 3-4 ounce leather for the bag?

    • @whitandpark
      @whitandpark  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome, thanks Brandon. 3/4 would be a little too thin in my opinion, but don’t let me stop you from trying! My biggest concern would be the handle on top would pull the lid together if it’s too thin. So maybe reinforce the top part of the lid first?
