    I do a heavier bag based on a Western Saddle Bag, but this is better, and lighter. I love the piping and the asymmetrical attachments of front and back. Brilliant. Tell Sky I said Ruff-rrrrrufffff!

    Hello Jo. I'm a new member of your channel and I found you looking for leather tools, so I found you and entered your channel here on youTube. I want to tell you that you really helped me in what I was looking for but also confused me somewhere :). I also want to tell you that your constructions are excellent. Maybe at some point you will allow me to send you an e-mail to ask about some things I want about leather tools. Congratulations on your work and your help to us. My name is Sakis and I am writing to you from Greece. Jo… .. thank you Sakis.

      I am not sure to be honest, I haven't tried it. I think it should work if you scale all the pages the same though.

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Brent 🙂 I say double hand stitching as that's what I know it as, it's the same as the saddle stitching method with 2 needles on one piece of thread.

    *Quick Question* - I'm new to leatherwork so I'm wondering what I should do with all the scraps I'll be generating. There's only so many key fobs I can give away as gifts. The only thing I can think of is some sort of firm stuffing?
    - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi

    • @JHLeather
      @JHLeather  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you can use them as fillers, zip pullers and covering press studs. I also keep some for when I am sharpening tools as I can use them to see if the tool needs more work

    Just absolutely amazing work! I'm curious as to the retail price of such a bag. That's the problem with making things by hand, you can't really charge what it's worth! I think that bag would easily command $200 or $300 dollars (US) or more!

      @@JHLeather I used to be a juried woodcarver, made spoons and walking sticks. Selling through a local art gallery sure jacks the price up but of course they take a hefty percentage.
