      Hello, thank you so much! I'm glad you've found them helpful. My ATAR was 97.75 - feel free to check out my video on getting in medicine (here: th-cam.com/video/CpibtuULJ3Q/w-d-xo.html ) where I break down my HSC marks and go through every step of my journey into medical school. :))

    hi laura! how did you write your medicine application (e.g. for UNSW) that asks for written responses?

    • @LauraBeaumont
      @LauraBeaumont  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Chaewon, the written application for UNSW isn't used in the selection process at all, it is just for them to understand your background to organise some talking points for interviews (it asks why you want to study at UNSW, non-academic interests, personal qualities, etc). Don't stress - keep it succinct whilst making sure to let them know what makes YOU unique. I think you'll really benefit from watching my interview video (here: th-cam.com/video/EqmJvFW8_Xw/w-d-xo.html) - I understand it isn't about written applications, but you can use the same principles!!

    Hey Laura, I remember you once mentioning that a person you know was able to transfer into medicine after their first year of another undergrad course. Are you able to say what course they may have done and what courses you recommended in which it won’t be too difficult to get a high gpa?

      Its not as simple as doing any undergraduate course, typically you have to do health science or something similar and enrol in certain prerequisite units. At least that is the case at my university. I assume its similar at other universities. You would also want to make sure you have a very high course weighted average, i would say something between 85-90 as a minimum, in order to be competitive.

      I would say do alot of research into the specific requirements for your university, or speak to an advisor at the university.
