    I love the transitions in this video. Great editing! I don't plan to become a medical doctor but I found the tips helpful for other interviews. Really great video Archer!

    My father is a doctor, will including that in my interview make any bad impression? I am worried that they might think I want to be a doctor just because of my father. Thank you

    Hey last question how do you use your iPad to study and also how do you use your Macbook to study? Also what Macbook do you use? Are their any specific apps you use for both, and also when do you these these devices? (could be at lectures, etc.) While we are at it may I also ask why you use these devices?
    Sorry for the amount of questions my dude I just wanted a better understanding, also are you interested in gaming? If not, were you in the past?

      Hi Sam, no problem. Ask as many as you want :) I use my iPad whenever I need to draw something out. Other than that I am always using my Macbook to study because it's a lot quicker and you get around everywhere a lot quicker if you learn the same keyboard shortcuts. As much as the iPad is a really powerful device, it is still just an iPad and doesn't have the same level of efficiency as a mac may have. I have my old MacBook Pro Retina Late 2013 and now my new one Macbook Pro 16" 2019 with good specs (for editing). I use these devices mostly due to the Apple ecosystem and how great the user experience is on apple devices. I used to use windows but macOS is just so much easier to deal with in my opinion. I use notability for my iPad and use notion on both devices. Those are basically the two that I use whenever I'm going about learning about anything or doing anything study related.
      Hope that helps, please let me know any other questions that you have Sam! Great questions :)

      oh ok thanks dude i dont know what im doing awake at 1am also are you interested in gaming or were you ever? also could you give me an example of something you would need to draw on notability?

      @@samtheham3187 I used to be pretty involved in gaming before I realised I could be something more with my time. It's 4 am here. I would have to use my iPad and notability for doing maths or something else that I need to label for example.

    Hey, do you have any more tips to prepare specifically for UNSW interviews? What types of answers should I be ready to give?

    Can you work in a hospital directly after studying the medical course at Flinders? Also which course did you choose? (hopefully you can provide the link for that course) 🙂🙂🙂

    Hi! I got an interview from Flinders. Any idea how the interview might be? Whether it's MMI or traditional?

    Aren't you studying medicine at flinders, a university which doesn't even have an interview? I don't understand how you're qualified to give your insight on this.

      I was accepted into UNSW too but decided to go to Flinders last minute literally the day before taking my flight.

      There’s a lot of principles here which are common and hold true across pretty much all interviews, Tom - that should be kind of obvious, isn’t it? Archer’s done a great job here. 😄 however, if you feel personally more qualified, why don’t you make a video about it yourself? With love, a graduate from Monash med. 😊

      I'm not sure sorry, the students I work with are all domestic high school students or at least in university (whether they be domestic or international)

    Hi could you pls tell me how you approach lectures/lessons?

    • @ArcherNewton
      @ArcherNewton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sam, I watch as many lectures as I can online and watch them at 2x-3x speed. At the same time I'm writing down my active recall questions into notion and writing answers where I can. I can pause whenever I need to if I need and skip through some parts if I think it's just irrelevant to the course. This is my approach at uni which is different to what it was at high school.
      Hope that helps!

    • @samtheham3187
      @samtheham3187 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArcherNewton Thank you so much, if you watch online, what would you do if you were at the lecture physically? And also would you bring both your MacBook and iPad if you went to the lecture? Also how would you distinguish the irrelevant parts to the relevant parts?

    • @ArcherNewton
      @ArcherNewton  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@samtheham3187 Hey again Sam! If i'm at an actual lecture I'll be doing the same thing but as they are speaking. Often they talk to too slow so I'll be ahead in time. Either I'll lose concentration and just focus on something else until they start getting back on topic, or I'll sneak in some anki flashcards if I'm still feeling productive. A lot of the time I'll just be on another tab reading up about what we're being taught. It's pretty much the same as what I do online but at a slower pace so I have more time to do other things.
      I do bring both to lectures but I typically would use my iPad since it's smaller. I am faster on a laptop but I find they are way too big (13 and 16 inch) for small lecture tables.
      I've developed sort of an eye for rambling and what is really important. Sometimes I miss out on some important stuff but I catch that when studying for a test or exam. You'll get better at it if you try to keep an eye out for it. I think looking at course outlines is really important for getting better at this.
      Hope that helps, please let me know any other questions that you have!
