  • Here is the guide I wrote to help you create slick, interview-ready stories to personal trait questions! I think it's sick and I'll genuinely be flabberghasted if you don't find it useful : mariushugh.myshopify.com/prod...

    Keen to help a few man with their 2024 applications, so if you want mentoring/interview prep etc, then hmu and we can talk: marius.hugh2@gmail.com
    The two things I talk about in this vid are literally the keys to the admissions process to UCAT-using graduate entry medical schools (Kings, Warwick, Newcastle, Southampton and Bart's). Once you satisfy the minimum requirements it's all down to your ability to prepare well for these two things.

    Hey Marius, just purchased your guide and looking forward to reading it. So glad I can support someone who puts out such incredibly useful content - can't thank you enough for all the info! I'm hoping to apply for GEM in September, as a fellow member of the Biomed gang :P

    Honestly, these videos are so helpful - thank you and please keep making them. Did you apply to Warwick? Would really be interested in hearing your thoughts/experience there.

    Hi Marius, is it normal for someone to get a grad med offer when applying with a 2:1? Also, do universities see if your 2:1 is high or low, and will that affect your chances of getting interviews?

    Hi Marius, I noticed you mentioned that most improvement in AR came by completing the whole question bank for AR on medify. I'm quite worried that there will be so many questions in the AR question bank on Medify that I realistically won't be able to complete all of them to secure my best chances of getting a decent AR score. Is this a pointless worry or is it actually possible to complete the AR question bank so I've seen most the patterns that could come up?

      Yo! I would suggest you just try your best to do as many as possible. Don't worry about whether or not you'll complete it just get going with the actual effort of doing the questions! all the best

    Could you give more advice for the verbal reasoning section of the UCAT? I struggle the most with it and find myself often avoiding it just because I hate is so much

    • @mariushugh
      @mariushugh  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah that section is whack. I tried many things with VR and could never improve significantly. In the exam I committed to reading the question first and then trying to find it in the stem. Don't neglect it, do timed sets of q's and try to get your brain used to the timings. Other than that I'm open to suggestions. Anyone else?

    Hey Marius, how come you didn’t decide to sit the GAMSAT and instead took the risk of placing all your eggs in the UCAT basket? Obviously it paid off for you to do so (hurrah), but I just wondered why you didn’t do the GAMSAT as a backup?

    • @mariushugh

      Hey! I actually had it booked, but decided not to sit it once I got my UCAT score - which thankfully you can sit a couple months before GAMSAT is taken
