I just had a set of these installed in my car, best purchase in a long time. The name night breaker fits these. I dont see any dark roads at night anymore, and drive with confidence at night. Nice long beam with extra wide illumination on the side of the road. These bulds are the best I've ever had.
This video saved me $602. Appreciate you man! Ordered the bulb and got it done myself 💪🏾. The dealership was charging $430 just for 1 single bulb, $100 for labor, and Misc. Charges. FOH!
So glad I found this. Your explanation of the lock ring that cannot be seen was a critical bit. Jeep Dealership wanted over $400 for a single bulb, plus install! I only did the passengers side, and used a NAPA OEM replacement bulb. My SRT is a 19 and wears the same paint. Thanks for taking the time to makes and share this video.
I replaced mine yesterday. What came out was an OSRAM bulb. So I believe the factory uses that brand. Mopar doesn’t make bulbs so they just buy them from that company and puts their name on the packaging. And that tab he’s taking about it a lock ring that keeps the bulb in place. If you don’t turn that you can’t get the bulb out and if you don’t turn it back afterwards your bulb will fall out of the hole.
My passenger side was a 'challenge'. First off the wiring was so short I almost couldn't get it out far enough to press than magic release which in my case took some angled needle nose. The part somewhat glossed over in the video, or at least in my case was a PITA was getting the bulb back into the socket. This seemed to be related to the shortness of my harness as I had a very hard time getting the bulb to go forward as the connector was still hitting the opening of the housing. That cam lock was designed by an engineer with the housing setting on a bench and NOT actually on the car.
My low beams have a rubber cover that I can’t get off without damaging it, I’m only removing them to see if they were improperly installed as they won’t stay adjusted.
One last thing, I want to reiterate that the tabs are on the bulb not the package! I spent about 1/2 hour trying to rotate the package and then it dawned on me that the tabs were on the outside of the bulb! Once you figure this out, the rest is cake!!!! Thank you!!!
This!!! Those tabs were a bear! I hope when i put the new bulb in, I can turn them the other way. Without this tip, I would've never got them out! I was about to go medieval on it LOL
This whole thread is amazing. I swapped out mine today too. I will add, that when I finally figured out the tabs. I just pushed down on one side instead of trying to “rotate” both sides..I had more leverage just using my thumb and pressing down. When I figured it out, went to the other side and had it out in 2 minutes!!
Hey quick question I change the lightbulbs to my 2019 jeep the left side, the driver side when I install the back in I heard a click and it lock in place , but on the right side on the passenger side it didn’t click I was having difficult for like four hours. Is it supposed to click on the passenger side?

What you said about moving the tabs is essential.
Thank you the “tab part is what I was stuck on” 💯
My OSRAM Xenarc bulb was replaced in 2021. These have 4 year warranties and I will be executing on it with OSRAM. Thanks for the video.
just for the data my 2020 was OSRAM Xenarc 66340HBI lasted 4 years 9 months.

When you say package, are you saying the silver square bulb housing or something else?

Yeah man, it is definitely tough. I know one side gave me trouble but I eventually got it
@ thank you much appreciate
How's the light output compared to stock bulbs? Do you have any pictures? Thanks.
I didn’t take any before and after but it is noticeably better. These are the bulbs it should have come with from the factory
Great tutorial, but shame on Jeep for making what should be a simple task extremely complicated.
This was way not easy to do do but.....doable.
SRT ?
Yeah that’s what I have
