- On this video, I will show you 2 method to defeat Bahamut, the first is normal way. The 2nd is the Garnet Summon method. I hope you find this useful. Thanks and bye bye.

Why? You need to beat Bahamut first before your Garnet can use it. Unless you meant so they can help other people after they've already gotten it.
Nevermind, I get what you mean. You mean to use in general, since Bahamut is so strong.

To those who are confused on how to reach the 300% cap..
To reach the 300% cap:
Normal Chain = 30 Normal Chains = forego this method
Elemental Chain = 10 Elemental Chains = Anybody really who can chain via elemental ability/magic or elemental weapons
Spark Chain = 6 Spark Chains = I find Ashe to be the easiest to spark chain with Heaven's Fury
I advise you to test out the timing of the esper finish while building esper gauge enroute to facing Bahamut so you won't mess up. Alternatively, if you miss it, just force close the app and reload it. You should start at the beginning of the fight.

I am working on 2 Trance Terras and 1 Agrias. I have Dark Veritas and Ashe that I use to chain, but I am currently only doing mediocre damage at best. I have several TMRs that I am working on.

Man I want thank you so much for this guide. I’ve seen lots of videos talking about cheesing way and you gave me most important information of all of them. I didn’t know the Bahamut damage must happen after the 10 hit elemental chain. I’ve tried this method several times and didn’t know what was going wrong until watch your video and finally beat It. I want to put a friend unit up to help ppl with Bahamut, but I do not yet have him to equip on my Garnet. Do you think that Enhanced Elza would work? She has 60% SPR/DEF break.

This guide was very helpful. I used basically the same group (DV instead of Agrias) and killed it first try even after making several face palm worthy mistakes.
For the normal way, you might want to consider using Ayaka's LB in the 2nd turn to get all to full health incl herself after surviving the megaflare. Might be faster. That's what i did. Great video anw. Cheers.

Congrats for beating Bahamut. I also had quite a bad time fighting him the normal way. But Luckily I had my GL Sakura (+friend) who chained the fire/dark Grimm ability and hit him really hard (the friend one had the Draco Spike equipped). Now a question: besides Garnet, who should I give Bahamut (for which role)? I can't give him to Sakura because she needs an Esper with Subspirit/Osmose. And where should I spend the SP points?
Bahamut's primary stats affect all, HP/MP/ATT/DEF/MAG/SPR. He can link to anyone. Best suggestion is to give unit with +EVO MAG passive, and Garnet's EVO MAG is the best one.
I can't wait for her 6* awakening, screw all the other summoner class, she is the only summoner I need :p
FYI, I tried with a max tetra sylphid and It didn't work. I was only able to deal about 42% damage. :( I switched to a garnet friend with bahamut (same set up with my garnet, just different esper) and was able to one shot him.
the reduce encounter works quite a bit. You just need hayate 6 stars, 2 charm bangles and diablos. Will reduce encounter by quite a lot (especially if you are sick of getting monster encounters too frequently)

Sheratan maybe, actually I want to try that later. I am farming evo magic + 10% now... gathering those elemental tears... Aigaion, I am not sure because you can't keep garnet safe on the bench. Also Aigaion defense is pretty high.

just noticed in the beginning you kept using ayaka to full life one unit per turn.. could have just use full life on rikku first and let her use her mega phoenix? Saves a few turns..

The way I got it was chaining 2 X guys with POD 32 (or watvs) and finishing the chain with my zyrus LB (no max lvl, but dual draco spike, 850 mag), and a friend w/ garnet w/ bahamuth at only 70% of evo magic, after buffs and debuffs of course.

Pretty tough fight! Seem just about right for how strong and OP esper is. I was able to do it on my 2nd try with Rikku, Wilhelm, Ayaka, Cid, 9S and a friend Cid for chaining. Took me 14 turns

Did it on first turn with friend Zyrus and 2 Shantottos, using Alterna. Now I can make my Garnet a Kiler too :D
I went for a OTK method. I took in my raid one shot group. Delita (65% spr break), Seven (70% ice imperil), Rikku, Tilith, and 2 Fryevia. As long as I hit a perfect chain he goes down.
I used 2 pod 153 for chain and blew him the fuck up with Zyrus' Lvl1 LB XD Zyrus the Dragon Slaying God!
I am suddently put off from wanting to face Bahamut right now. I just clear the story today. It doesn't help that I don't have Ayaka but Tilith.
Also is this exploration thing is something I can leave and come back to as long I had set up a tent? I mean I don't want to do it and can't leave until my party are defeated or defeat Bahamut?

I dont have great TMRs or equipment, but what about Awakened Rain for tanking and Lotus Mage Fina for healing/support?? I dont have that much damage units either lol...been gone for months

Just beat this dragon bastard! Took 40 turns but very low stress. My team:
Luka: Put Ribbon on her and Priestess Miracle will take care of paralyze and heal the fuck out of your team, I didn't bother putting dualcast. Have Marie cast Love You All after Chow dies and Marie buff his spirit and he will survive!
Marie: Love You All! She'll often be able to block, cast anti elemental or use items
Barusa: provoke tank, he's a beast! Put dragon mail and heroes shield. Defense 568
Soleil: I chose to have buffs over breaks, all dances enhanced
Victotia: Not optimal damage but went with dual cast Firaja. 794 magic, if Marie has enough no she can get cast anti elemental since all I used her for was Love You All
Friend: Chow! Spirit 587 Up 8698
For a healer I used yshtola, for support I used gargabath and rikku, for a tank I used wol and for damage I used 2 Randi to Chain. Was able to kill him but sometimes the damage was too much and he mega flared me

Since I don't have Ayaka, I'm effing screwed (do have Tilith with Lakshmi, but will need to get stuff to get her Spirit that high so that she can survive the Megaflare).
Third way with zyrus lb chain cap can OHKO bahamut if dual weld dracospike with breaks and buffs ofc
I’m confused how 5 stars can beat him but I got 7 stars and can’t do more than 2% damage before he kills me
I followed the guide and still got wiped by Megaflare, I'll try this again in next month lol
My suggestion for you is simply to cheese this. Many players still equip Garnet with cheese setup, next month you won't find it easily. Search on reddit, gamefaqs, etc.
I tried this with Rydia and Tetra, only had one 10% EVO ability and hoped that because Rydia has more base Evo increases over Garnett it would let me win. Nope, only about 26% damage even on a great chain.

Can I use 2 Setzer instead of 2 Shantotto for the chain part? I mean, Prismatic Flash would do the job? And, btw, if anybody out there has a Garnet with Bahamut I'd love to use her! T.T
So..If i have just 1 shantotto, no ayaka and no Garnet friend, no Mystea niether Bash... Means i should just skip bahamut and go direct to Leviathan? ._.
Literally only have Tidus, VoD, Refia, VoE and Noctis or Christine
You can chain using others, shantoto is just easy example. You can use edgar conrad, etc for chain saw chaining. They key is to land your garnet’s friend bahamut at the max chain bonus dmg cap.

Sadly, i really only have the units i said (i started in Genuary and i'm saving to get CG Fina :P ) Tryin to get it done with Tidus and Chrsite (using Icebrand) but very hard! Do anyone knows if they patched this already? I get him down to 29% but cannot get the 100%.

if you have lapis to spare why not. unless youre really low on it and the only way to gain more is with real money. dont forget there are additional quest in the enhancement section; you can get 400 lapis from doing the 4 new magicite quest

For some reason I had a harder time with bahamut than nightmare skeleton king. Farming the rat tails is so tedious!! I raged out otko him with a massive chain from zargabuff, 2 Rebertas, Trance Terra and friend Trance Terra.
792, 606, 221 I have a GL Sakura with Ring of Lucii, Alterna will be an easy 10 millions hit. Is not enough to kill Bahamut but you can use a second Finisher for that. My Garnet doesn't have enough Evo magic power yet...

This Bahamut seems harder than the trial. Most espers are easy to get
I can even defeat Bahamut with normal way without Ayaka and Rikku, I was trying to use Luka on my 2nd run killing Bahamut and it worked well..
Still same as other bosses, it will be incredibly easy as you discover how to deal with it..
Also I'm a pure F2P, never even think that I'm a whale or at least dolphin..
Wow nice, I can't because only My luka survive that megaflare and Luka can't do AOE revive.
+guide4gamersdotcom if you are worried about how to AoE revive you can use Aria instead, she can do the same..

Kraith BadassBst No you don't, you only need to have one rat tailes to gain access to Bahamut in order to fight him, one rat tail per one access. Exploration allows you to beat Shadow Bahamut to get those rat tiles, you also can get to many nice treasures & lots of experience & gills.
my bad, I did not explain good enough. To open the area to Bahamut. I'm currently at moogle town, but the Bahamut area was not open. I skipped a lot of the past explorations and a lot of the quests to this point. I can not find evan, nor do I have access to zolddan castle to talk to him.
I think you need to finish S1 & get the TM moogle first.

With tetra sylph .. , awakend Garnet, 4x10% EVO-MAG, brake spr with 9S skill .. it removes only 46% of bahamuth's HP
Dracospike does not seen to have any effect
Have you imperil bahamut's wind resist?
I used Shantotto. She does 50% wind imperil with her Huricane which i used for chaining. My Zyrus with Zargabath's hero's crest did around 45% of Bahamuth's HP... still far from target...
just use a magic cover tank
does the cheese method work for nightmare too?
A chaincapping Bahamut can only reduce around 50-60% of Skeleton King's HP, so good luck trying for that..
Reduce the health to about 40% than destroy him with 2 strong chainers & a cap Bahamut

Sheraf Emam No it can't. Someone already tested that in Reddit & didn't work. Megaflare is magic damage ability & reflect works only on magic spells
i can only get him down to 18% on first turn with my physical team because mage chaining and good mage units are too expensive, i can't seem to find any Garnet friends and i'm getting rather desperate, i really don't want to farm for more fucking rat tails, please...

i used tilith, snow, soleil, crowe, and zyrus as my only attacker, and ayaka's friend, and i beat him in 44 turns. it was pretty easy to me... to almost fucked me up. 😴
lol you know that if you used zyrus lb or ring of the lucii and like 2 chainers you can one shot him? You would've probably saved yourself a lot of trouble. That's what I did and I'm f2p.
It was actually easy both with and without Ayaka to deal with Bahamut, but yeah G4G choose the worst and most stupid way to deal with it and keep saying "you really need Ayaka . . ." or "I definitely can't do this without Ayaka . . ." blah blah blah, it's really annoying man.. This is the worst video I watched from G4G..
Jack Wayne lol i don't have enough chainers. i only have 1 maxed shantotto and i haven't maxed the other one. and if you tell me to use ring of lucii, i just wanna tell you that i don't even have noctis. i used zyrus' LB after his last theshold and spam him with 2 blood pulsars. getting megaflare twice a row is truly annoying, isn't it? lol
Penguin Vs Cat yep, you can actually use your Aria or Tilith, but you need more than 500 SPR to save their ass from bahamut's megaflare.
and yeah, G4G now is not too f2p friendly anymore since he had ayaka and some non raid TMRs. 😢
+Hikmah Dwi S. yea I was using Luka for my 2nd run clearing Bahamut, 300 Spr on all party is more than enough to survive Megaflare with my strat, and I wasn't OTK it, I think it was around 4-5 turns for me using 2 Fryevias..
since this is not early game content, I use my Ayaka XD. We have reach the point where we can't simply use non TMR things. Also you can simply cheese bahamut :)
Dude even with 2 Shantottos, my 895 Zyrus LB, my Garnett with Evo+2 & friend unit w/ Bahumut i get him to 87% and im toast
Fail chain. As you can see here, nothing special on my setup. The hard part is land the megaflare when the hit chain above 10. and make sure you break the spr.
