I've been grinding my face off. Been getting alot of TM'S unlocked. If you don't need alot of that TM but have copies of that unit, a quicker, but still kind of grindy way to get the TM is to put all those copies in your party and get them to a lower percentage and then fuse them together. For instance if you have 5 Cecil, you just get one to 20% and the other 4 just need to be 15% (because remember they still give base 5%). Then you fuse them all into your base and you have yourself an Excalibur! You definitely don't want to do that with hard to get units though obviously like Chizuru or base 5 stars like Dark Knight Cecil because you absolutely want more than one of those TM'S and it's best to just suck it up and grind them to 100%
Mathematically it should take you the following number of battles on average based on how many units of the same type you have. Don't forget the 5% addition to trust for fusing the same units together at the end. 1 of a kind - 10000 battles 2 of a kind - 4750 battles 3 of a kind - 3000 battles 4 of a kind - 2125 battles 5 of a kind - 1600 battles So for example you have 5 Cecil's and you want Excalibur. It will take you 1600 battles on average to raise each of your 5 Cecils to 16% each. 16% x 5 = 80% Add this onto the 20% you will get for enhancing 1 Cecil with the other 4 Cecils and you'll have 100% trust. Not worth it IMO.
Not worth it because 1600 battles, unless you have a macro doing it for you of course. The game shouldn't be designed around people having macros. And that's 1600 battles to get a TMR for ONE unit.
It does sound kinda annoying having to grind this much. However, it's an RPG, and imo, most of these TMR's could be considered as end game content, so it makes sense to make it grindy. Totally fine with me and I'm gonna hit that Earth Shrine so hard now lmao.
I would say when grinding you should take xon because one of his moves is escape and that let's you skip any round except for the last round so it will speed it up crazy
if you get multiple of the same character you can just farm them together and then fuse them cause it will fuse their trust plug it will give the extra 5%. So if you have 2 cecil you farm up to 47.5% after that when you fuse them you will have one with 100%
Greg Bourquin If I were you I would feed them to units that you believe their TM'S will be vital to make your team better first. Like Dual Wield or Blade Mastery because those are both TM'S that will give a unit a huge spike in damage. But it's still the same concept, when you fuse them with the desired unit they gain 10% TM boost.
I'm trying to get Terra's trust mastery because Ultima is very tasty haha (280% Mag + 25% ignore resist). Also want Exdeath's mastery so I can give Holy to Roselia so she's not just for healing.
I'd like to know if later you fuse the second and the third to the main Kefka, will the percent of trust increase more than 5 percents for each? or it's not different from the untrained Kefka

But the problem is that once I started to choose the base unit, I don't see the rest of my units allowed me to combine at all. All I see was just only Moogle trust and other different units. Yes. If you have 3 at 30%, you've reached 100% total. If you have 4 at 21.2-21.3%, you have 100%. If you have 5 at 16%, you've reached 100% total after you've combined them. Alternatively, if you have the patience, you can raise them all individually, and use a few trust moogles. That way, you get more than one of whatever you're working towards, as long as you don't mind how much longer it'll take.
i need some clarificatiom about your trust master reward team. Are they all kefkas because you can add their TMR% to your main kefka plus the 5% for being characters with the same name?

more units = more of them getting up together, 3 of the same characters with each 5% trust, gives you an end product of 25% tm on that 1 character, 5% on its own, 5% each from each character, then another 5% for being the same character fused together. so i wouldnt do that if you want multiple of the same items, dont think it increases the chance

it depends on how badly you want the item... I have a White Witch Fina who gives THE BEST bow we have right now when you max hers out. but puling her is another story... cause either she's removed from the summon list, or her chances are low (mainly cause she can go to 6 star). so I have no choice but to run those 10000 battles with her thankfully, she's a really good white mage so she's worth having around (even if you have someone better, probably should keep her for backup). other than that, hunt down trust moogles.... you'll DEFINITELY want the ones from events which usually give 10%, but there's a few 5% ones from the storyline towns if you trade star quartz for them (one time only trades). Trust moogles are REALLY hard to get your hands on though w/o some OP help or grinding.... (event ones tend to be 30k+ of the special drop you can get, or on the hardest quests)
Hello i have a Black cat Lid on 100% TM and i have a Black cat lid with 0%. When i use the 100% Black cat lid and fuse it in the 0% Black cat lid. Can i get the Thrust Mastery (Item Cat ear) again?
So I have pulled 4 of the Black Cat Lid units from the last event should I just get all there TM to about 25% and then fuse them all in to one or is it better to have four of them to use in a party against a lightning creature since she has the 25% resistance to lightning? Richard DeWees She's not that good of a unit, and you will really only need one of those TM'S unlocked because the hat is really only good for healers. so I would get your base to 25%, and the other 3 to 20%. Remember they still give base 5% increase to your fused unit. so their TM% might say 20% but it's really 25% when fusing

Furlow Torent I really wish that the more NRG you spent in the fight gave you more percentage towards the TM. Like, if I spent 20 NRG it should give me 2% with an increased rate of TM increase. So high risk, high reward.
Just don’t fuse the same characters at the same time instead make a party of the person you want to build trust for and go to the earth shrine and start to grind because it only will you gain the 5% but you’ll gain the extra % that you built on that character plus there’s ways to boost up your energy during items so try it out for yourself and dm me on discord to tell me how it went My Discord account is shadow_1209 and the username should be shadow

That's the only thing Idon't liekf rom the game. Don't get me wrong but I love the game, but that the trust mastery goes realy slow is quite a pain. In my humble opinion is better that remove the decimal and the trust mastery goes by number, i mean, instead of getting .1% you get 1% and probably reduce the chances from 10% to 5% or keep it at the original chances but damn, that's hell a lot grinding to do!
Like brave frontier, they should add the quest repeat option to automatically do the same dungeon infinitely until you're out of stamina.

I've already farmed Ultima and a lot of other useful tms. It's not hard, just time consuming.
Why do you need to use abilities? I've seen that auto mode also gives trust master, more convenient to just press the auto.
why exit and not entrance? entrance has only 2 battles and it will go quicker. Maybe I've missed something?
Why Earth Shrine - Exit and not Earth Shrine - Entrance, the latter only has 2 battles whereas the former has 3.

actually Edgar isn't bad for aoe.wep procs, he hit multiple times and all enemies try him with the sleep knife
