NTA. The person who asked you to leave did so on her own, as seen when the groom ignored her complaints. Also, what "wedding etiquette" indicates you had to leave? No one else was bothered until the prissy miss started her bitch fest. She, and anyone agreeing with her are the AHs. Did she ever check with the bride and groom? Nope.
NTA. Self-appointed wedding bouncer and full-time Drama Queen Karen had no authority to ask you to leave. Bride & groom apparently didn’t even notice. And it sounds like OP wasn’t even out of the dance floor, where the dress would have been more noticeable in motion under the black lights. Which sounds kind of dated anyway: they have black lights at weddings, and play what - Techno? Now THAT would ruin it for me! 😜 Anyway, sounds like the people getting married didn’t care, and therefore no Wedding Ruining, intentional or not, occurred. I’m sure that they were touched that OP traveled from overseas to attend.
That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. First the wedding party member never saw a "white" dress before the black lights came on - mainly because it was yellow??? Next, the bride was smart enough to recognize yellow when she saw it. Next, the groom did not care - most men wouldn't. And last, the friend at breakfast had no business sticking her nose in where it didn't belong. So OP did nothing wrong, but a couple of busy body karens have now made her feel bad. They really oughta be ashamed of themselves.
How mean are these people. NTA. As long as bride and groom happy you were fine. And your dress was yellow! It was the stupid woman raising it that caused the tense atmosphere. And im not sure that friend is really a friend
NTA. OP did well not to escalate with Bridesmaid Karen at the reception. The next day was a different matter. The proper response the next day would be to tell your "friend" to go speak to Bridesmaid Karen, since obviously the bride and groom didn't care, and the dress was yellow, not white. And if that wasn't good enough, there is always the option to smile sweetly and tell her, "In that case, go (quack) yourself."
Black lights at a wedding sounds ridiculous.

Nta, geez some people are painful, how petty was that woman and she had to go to the groom whinging, this is just a lot of BS
I have worn white a wedding, I have worn black to a wedding, both times I asked the brides permission. They were fine about it

WTF were they rinning black lights for. After a few minutes those things are murder on the eyes. Only the bride&groom have any sayin such matters.
Probably reception after-party disco. Doesn't look like it was during the ceremony, that's why nobody gave 2 shits
