NTA. Nope! Every single time you look at those kids, they will be a reminder of the betrayal. If your in-laws want someone to care for them, let them do it. Your ex was verbally abusive to you. Your children loathe their deceased father, and they "hate" their half-siblings. Let them so into foster care. Put that money into a trust fund .
I have a half uncle that is from my grandfather's first marriage. Growing up, he was a name rather than an actual family member. He went to prison a few years after I was born and got out I think last year or the year before. He isn't allowed at my grandparents' home, and he is still just a name even though we do talk about him sometimes. I knew he had gone to prison, I knew he was my mom's half brother but I didn't know what he did until I was 25.
@RedditFamilyTales it kind of did but we still don't talk about it or him often. He calls more now my grandpa has dementia and doesn't remember him as well.
@errorsanz. he did something that TH-cam would prohibit talking about. He was a serial take advantager of women and it started at a fairly young age that he would creep on his youngest sister's friends
If your IN LAWS insist. Let THEM take care of the twins. They are not your responsibility and since there is mistrust, you wont be looking at them with love, its wite hate and disgust.

Why should she?
Good question I don't see why anyone should think she has to
She has no attachment to that child in no way at all. Soon, those in laws will be her ex in laws
They can go to foster care
Those DMs to forgive dad and step-monster were probably dad and step--monster using throw away aliases or their close friends and family.

Thanks for sharing! Did knowing the full story change how you view your family?
And what he did is?

The title is literally my life, but in my case my mom decided to rise my half sister 😅
Sounds awkward.
@@rebeccacoleman3341 Yeah... In the beggining it was very hard and took A LOT of therapy to overcome this, but now she´s my little sis and I love her
