Ultramarine is granulating and even though it was unexpected to you, you made it work and this turned out beautiful as always... this character would make a great book haha I like her a lot.
I’m thinking she’s going through the galaxy with her foxy sidekick trying to find her family that was somehow lost from her and on the way she has all kinds of adventures and makes new friends to join her on her adventure and here she’s trying a physic to see if she can get a visual on her family and the stars are a star path to where they are haha I love seeing stories in someone’s painting

Trying to create a gradient when the paper just lays flat is so difficult. I'll set my paper on a tilted desk thingy? Just so it's almost standing up. I'll wet the paper and when I add the colors, the water will go to the bottom of the paper so it doesn't pool, it doesn't create any unwanted texture. The only thing you have to do is remove the water at the bottom of the paper :)

Your brave, Knight Norlund, for trying to make a blend like this on hot pressed paper. It looks quite awesome in hindsight, especially considering the nature of the materials you used.

So adorable. I love the colours.
Try and invest in some thicker watercolour paper ..I use 140lb which is 300 gsm nice and thick..means it holds the water with less warping ..you will find if you pay a little more the watercolours will flow better on it and you will not have to work so hard..Another idea is tape it down to a board that helps keep it in place ..Love The is piece of work ,your work is beautiful and you have a really great imagination ..just subscribed so I can see you again..hope your cold is better soon 😀

If you use a hairdryer between layers instead of waiting for it to dry it will reduce the buckling of the paper to almost nothing. Just be sure that you don't have any pools of water if you do because they will dash across the paper.

I love your videos so much! So relaxing! I always love the colors you use. Also, whenever I have trouble with buckling paper, it helps to wet the entire backside of the painting after everything dries. I don't know why that works but it does 😸

Ah! Love it, the purples and pinks! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I've just started using masking fluid and it's definitely a hassle. I need a smaller brush that's just for it because the brush I chose is just too think and I end out making bigger splotches then intended haha looking forward to more! 💜💜💜
