Thanks for watching me! Yes, start small....we CAN and WILL make larger quilts...but I feel it's important, as you say, to build from basics. Thanks again! :)
I have been following you for quite some time now. I never really commented much until lately and always forgot to hit the like button. I decided I wanted to start at your very beginning and watch all the videos I have not watched and rewatch those I have. Making sure this time to like and comment as I know that helps you in how TH-cam places your videos, and as a way to say Thank you for all you have done for me. Not to mention it has been fun to see your first videos and how far you have come in your lighting and being more relaxed in front of the camera. There are so many robot types of personalities out there trying to teach that simply do not have what it takes. You are warm, welcoming, friendly, and most of all a great teacher that is making it clear in every video that it is not about you, it is about others and helping others. When I watch one of your videos you make me feel like a friend that is sitting in your craft room crafting alongside you. I truly appreciate the time and effort you take in providing this online friendship, it is greatly appreciated. I feel like I have known you and the Truelove family forever. I do believe that GOD blesses those who are blessing to others so believe me when I say you are Truly a Blessed Woman. I have one of the ridiculous things now interfering with my binge-watching your videos right now, I have to take a break and go fill an order. I will be back later in the afternoon. Here's hoping the sun is shining on your side of PA today and that you have a wonderful day. Nicole
Thank you Nicole. That means so much to me! I HAVE come a long way ~ much to my embarrassment at those earlier videos!! LOL! The power of a good concealor for dark under eye circles!! LOL! Taking the time and energy to really try and learn a new editing program ~ tears and frustration aside!! LOL! I do enjoy coming into my room and chatting with people who appreciate me ~ when our friends DO come (BP ~ Before Pandemic), the kettle is the first thing turned on!! The weather here has FINALLY warmed up again..the last several days it was actually below freezing, so cold and we even fired up the wood stove again! Hopefully it'll be clear sailing for the next few months. Thanks again for taking time out of YOUR busy schedule to visit with ME! :) Have a blessed day:)
Wow the amount of fabric you have behind you, you're never need to enter a fabric store again in your life. Love your tutorials I myself have just entered the quilting world. Thank You
Thanks for watching me!! Yes, I've been collecting fabric for many many years and I am trying to use it up - although it would take me 149 life years to do so!! LOL!!! Thanks again for tuning in!! :)
@@jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory I love watching your videos. Your clear explanations & down-to-earth common sense technique is refreshing & makes quilting easy. I've been a average sewer for years, but was never a quilter as I always heard it was so difficult & I'd need to be an expert in math. Since English is my thing & math is not my strong suit I never pursued quilting. I then was hired (through my job) to transcribe instructional videos for one of America's/Canada's best sewing schools. After discovering all their hints, tricks, & short cuts I was hooked on sewing. Best part is I got paid to learn from them. I just recently decided to try my hands at quilting. I've watched 100's of YT videos on quilting, but most are overly technical, a bit pretentious, & requires a near bank loan for all their specialty tools. I was about to bail out, on quilting, until I found your channel. Thank you, so much. You're a breath of fresh air. I love your sewing room with the shelves of colorful fabrics & your beautiful way of speech too -- sounds Irish to me? I feel like we could spend a day sipping tea, chatting about our kids & grandkids, & sew up a storm. Peace & blessings!
Oh thank you Anna for that! Like you, when I watched some TH-cam quilting tutorials, I thought, as an experienced quilter, that if a beginner was to watch some of them, they would not 'get it'.....because so many of the instructors start at say "Step Seven"...not taking into consideration that some people don't have a CLUE about Steps ONE to SIX!!! :) And so, I hope to really help beginner beginners...like...hold the cutter this way...position the ruler that way..and so on!! I just think that if you go to TH-cam to say, need to know how to repair your dishwasher, you want the guy to say "now hold the screwdriver this way, put it into this screw and turn..."!! LOL! Then you REALLY understand how to do it!! I appreciate your kind comments! Made my day! And yes, I'll go and put the kettle on and we can have a good old chat!! LOL!
I've been watching you for a while, Jean. You are 100% right - beginners should start small. Thank you for the tutorial on the pinwheel. I too struggle with the center seam laying flat.
Jean, thanks so much! Over the last few months I’ve been learning machine sewing so that I can make face masks. I have a really simple Brother sewing machine (only has straight & zigzag stitches). I am an expert DIY guy for house repairs, design & build flower beds, fences by myself, yard stuff, ceiling fans, wood stove, woodworking, lots of electrical work, etc. Similarly, I’m finding sewing various styles of face coverings an attractive creative process, too. I talked my wife into letting me make table runners & quilted pads for end table lamps. She picked out the fabrics & now it’s up to me. What I most appreciate about your channel is how down-to-earth & candid you are (instead of scripted), and especially how encouraging I found this video to be. I did my 1st pinwheel block during the playback & actually produced something satisfactory! I don’t foresee sewing becoming my latest hobby, but I must say I am drawn to the gadgets & equipment & just the endeavor of putting raw materials together. Again, we new people need people like you to share your wisdom & inspiration. P.S. thanks to your cameraman Elliot, too.
Umm... I admit I scratched the coffee table & so it beckons for a runner. My idea is that we’ll eventually have 5 or 6 collections which we put out for the holiday seasons. I swear I didn’t scratch it on purpose just to be able to have a shopping spree @ Joann Fabrics!
So pleased you found me and took time to watch! I too was making masks (when they couldn't be found in the beginning), but have given myself a break from making them (as they are more readily available now). Thanks so much for sharing and appreciating my little videos! Soon you will not be able to step away from the machine!! :) You Go!! :)
I don't believe this. I'm actually working on pinwheel blocks. Your tips are probably just what I need to get them to line up perfectly. I never thought to start 1/4" seam a 1/4" from the edge. And pressing the 2 halves in opposite directions- GENIUS. Thank you
Lol my first quilt was a 12 in finished block...12 block quilt of sunbonnet sue and Sam. Including sashing and cornerstones with 2 borders. I stuffed all my Sam and sue pieces. Quilt took me maybe a month to do.....you know with work and all lol. I have quilted for almost 20years and I have learned a few things from you. Like that 10 minute 3 seams block. I ABSOLUTELY love that block and I may have purchased some fabric lol. Great job. I love to see us quilters teach each other new things and also teaching new quilters old and new tricks. Thank you for your awesome work and god bless y'all. You have a new subscriber too 😁😁
Thank you so, so, SO much. I hate patterns. I wanted to do something w/pinwheels and had a 74 yr old "brainfreeze" ! Got onto the computer...there you were!!!! I've been at this only a couple of years (quilting, that is). So much to learn. I'll be looking you up again.Feel blessed to have watched your tutorial. "Curt's" Loee.
you are the best ever! I love watching you.I have learned a lot!I just want to THANK YOU for all the time and great instructions you give us. You are so knowledgable. You are appreciated. Thanks Jean
Very beautiful table runner. I like it very much. I like the saying too. And yes…I’m a kinda new beginner in quilting, and when I started out my husband and I started out with the most minimal of fabric just practicing, fun..but what a mess they were. I like to think I’m getting better, my seam ripper got a real work out, lol. Thank you also for the encouragement, which is much needed. Fabric so…expensive anymore that I’ve been watching to see if any sites on the internet are down sizing in sells just to be able to purchase any of there fabric. I sewed a few months in quilting and then quit as my hubby was helping me and suddenly decided he wasn’t doing any sewing on our machine period. I was so..disappointed to say the least as he was helping me with the measuring and all. So..now I’m left to fend on my own with trying to learn what to do, so…u-tubers such as yourself I’m watching their videos as well..trying to learn from them. Just like cooking everyone sews differently. So..,I thank you for your video. I took home economics in Jr high school years ago, but..the most we made was a dress and I believe an apron. I hope to learn more, I’m slowly getting back to quilting.
Thank you for taking time to watch me! Each project you make will hone your quilting skills a bit better:) Just start with small projects so as not to get overwhelmed and really TRY to finish them! :) You will gain confidence every time you sit at your machine. And don't get too discouraged, this should be FUN:) All the bet Sandra:)
Love watching your videos very helpful. You are so exsitted showing us these pinwheels thank you I am new at quilting and your way was so easy for me. I made perfect pinwheels.
I’ve learned so many little details about piecing from you that has helped me perfect my sewing. Thanks for teaching from a beginner’s point of view!!! I love watching and listening to you. 💕💕
Good for you!! They are easy if you go slow and steady and keep that 1/4" seam!! And of course, iron iron iron!!! :) All the best!! Thanks for tuning in! :)
Aw thank you! And thanks for taking time to watch our zaniness! I get there in the end:) Along with Jen, Eliot and other various people in my life:) LOL!
Just came across your videos, You are Awesome!! Thank you for taking the struggles and frustrations out of quilting for me!!! With my first grandchild coming in 6 months, I can't wait to get started on a quilt. Much Love and Gratitude to you as well as anyone helping you to get this information out.
Jean, you are just awesome! I absolutely LOVE your honest, heartfelt, down to earth approach to not only your sewing, but your teaching!! You're like a breath of fresh air!! I've been sewing for quite a while, but mostly self-taught. These pinwheels are simply adorable, and you make them look FUN!!! Can't wait to start on my own! I've been watching quilting vids for many years, you are my new FAVORITE! I look forward to watching many more =]
Teri, How awesome was this to wake up to?!?! Thank you SO much! I'm so delighted that you found me! I am SO NOT A PROFESSIONAL ~ just me doing what I do....but I truly appreciate folks like yourself for tuning in! :)
I truly have not seen a finished product that could look any MORE professional than what yours is! You bring character to your products, and to your teaching, and I'm SO thankful to have run across your video! I hope you are still doing them, I will be looking into that today, to find out about your method of putting the backing and binding on!! Happy New Years to you!!
Wonderful! Better late than never! LOL! Thank you so much Kathie, for finding me and taking time to watch me! I do waffle on and on, but as I always say, I get there in the end!:)
Thank you. I have frequently, in the comment section of other quilt videos, asked how to reduce the size of the quilt that has been demonstrated. Thank you. I look forward to many of your future videos
You are such a inspiration and such a good instructor. I stumbled across your videos and I am delighted that happened and I look forward to anything you have to share. You are so down to earth and very giving. Thank you.
While I'm lock in and laid up with sprained ankle, sprained foot in 3 places and a broken bone I've been watching utube. I like the way you explain things. When I get some mobility I think I will try a pinwheel block and the 10minute and 3minute block. Thank you for the way explain things.
This is wonderful. I’m thinking I can do quite a few table runners for Christmas gifts. Just a quick question. Shd fabrics be washed before starting a project? Thanks for sharing.
I also wanted to tell you that I'm not a beginner and have been sewing for about 55 years and quilting about 35 years. BUT, I learned a lot from you in this video. I just found you but I've subscribed and I'm going to be watching many more of your videos. I love the way you teach.
How kind of you! I'm a bit all over the place, but get there in the end!! :) Thanks for bearing with me!! :) I certainly am not a 'conventional' quilter...I wing it SO much of the time, making it difficult to 'teach' my methods sometimes. I appreciate your support
Congratulations. You aren't snob or soberb teaching. You make it so easy and no fussy to quilt. I will trying your pinwheell for sure. But more than the easy way to make this I felt in love with the peacock patern. Whowwwww. Keep up you way to show us how quilting can be simple. xoxo from Lisbon - Portugal
Oh wow! Jean I love this TH-cam video. I have a bunch of Fall themed layer cakes. I would never have thought I might be able to create your pinwheel in Fall colors and patterns. You have made it less intimidating. This super patient and detailed lesson has me so excited to try this. Thank you so much.
JEAN THANK YOU!! I am still very early beginner and I've watched so many tutorials my head is swimming. Your videos are simply the best! I accidentally stumbled on top your 10 min quilt block and was instantly hooked. THANK you again for these excellent tutorials!
Thank you for thinking of the beginners , I've been sewing for years but I'm new to really to making the quilt all the way. I think that's why I love your teaching you SHOW us how to make not only fast and only once you"ll do it again at our speed for learners to get it or to not fear trying it. Thank You JeanLinda A , WV
Hi jean I am learning so much from you .i love to quilt but I am not very good.i live in England I'm 71. And been sewing for about 15 years watching you has given me lots of confidence.thanyou so much best wishes mikkixxx
Oh! I lived in England for about 10 years. My husband is a Londoner and we lived up in Norwich until we moved to Canada, then back here to America where I am from. It's never to late to sew!! Keep on! Thanks for watching me!!
Mikki Cooper. My mama and I went to our first quilting class 8 yrs ago. They had me make a Log Cabin queen size quilt for my first quilt. Then she stopped having classes. So my quilt is still sitting unfinished. I do have it all together. It is sandwich but not sewed together. I know it sounds crazy. It is still sitting. I really want to get back to it and start a new project. Thank you for your show. Glad I found it.
A log cabin queen size quilt for your first time!!!?!!? Nuts!! I say start small, slow and easy! That way your project WILL NOT be sitting 8 years along unfinished! How depressing! Yes! Follow along and make a simple block or two - you will be encouraged to keep on and most of all, ENJOY AND HAVE FUN!! This isn't rocket science - it's supposed to be enjoyable!! Thanks for watching! :)
I know?! What's up with that?! Everybody needs to start somewhere and if another can help, then, why not? Thank you for finding me and taking time to watch! :)
Wow Jean, you make it look so easy. I have been sewing for awhile, but would now like to get into quilting and love the pinwheel quilts. I can now have the confidence to try this after your tutorial. You are so carefree in your videos, they are inspiring. Wonderful tutorial.
Great tip about starting small... My first quilt was a Eleanor Burns Lovers knot lap size. Very simple and i loved the process so all excited my second was a queen size for my moms birthday!!! Thats a lot of quilt to maneuver in my machine..
I enjoyed your tutorial. I understood everything you said, you explained so well. Thank you so much. I have dabbled in sewing since I was 10. I just recently got into quilting , and I love it. I have so much fabric but did not know where to start. I want to use up scraps left over from curtains and cornices I made. All don't seem to match that well, but I want to use it. Thanks again, you remind me of Anne Margaret.
WOW!! Ann Margaret?!?!? I am honored!! ooooooooooo..gotta tell my kids!!! :) Yes, start using up that material...I am going to be making an 'hourglass' quilt block, which is PERFECT for using up those scraps! Thank you so very much for watching!! I appreciate that!!
Hi Jean. Loved this video. Thanks for the wisdom of the 3 S's. Thanks for looking out for us newcomers. You're absolutely right about some of the other tutorials. I'm sticking with you! I'm learning your style and I've decided to watch the tutorial through once so I understand what you're training us, then I get my project together and watch it the first time...Again! Love ya Winsomes Pretty Woman from Altadena, California
I love all of your videos thank you for all of your advice you make it look so easy I plan to make your place mats soon I love your wall of fabric so beautiful thank you!
FYI it used to be the rule of thumb not to open the seams and press, this was because the batting they used in antiquity(lol) was not as good as we have now and would escape the seams as time went by. Alas we've come a long way....you are a joy!!!
Thank you for this awesome video. . I have made these quilts long, long ago, but forgot exactly how to do this square from cutting, to sewing it together. Ha! now I remember. I wanted to do a table runner in this pattern for my daughter in law. Thank you again Jean!!
Ty for making it easy peasy for me. I'm new at quilting and this is the best yet quilt block I've done. I'm going to give it a shot and know that I can do this bc of your beginner tutorial. Mahalo and God bless you🌺
Wow Jean I’m so glad I found you! My first project was a table runner! I also like to wing it, and this method and measurements are going to be so helpful! And yay, Elliot!
Hi Jean, I am thrilled with your videos. Thank you so much. I'm making my 2nd quilt from your 10 min blocks. They are so elegant and I wanted to show you my twist. As soon as I figure out how lol.
You are hilarious! I was just laughing away. I do have to say, you really did make that look easy and less intimidating. I am a brand-brand new quilter, thank you for the tutorial!
Brilliant Jean. Love your choice of fabrics. I think I'll get my Christmas fabric out and try this for my Christmas dinner table. Thank you for posting. Love your work and your videos xx
You know you need new blades. Shame on. You!!! would you like me to send some new blades. It makes cutting your material so much easier. Lol. My husband got me new blades and I couldn't believe how easy it was so easy. Hope this puts a little smile a little. Thanks so much again. Lol. Your son is great with the camera. Take care
It's like practicing the piano. You start with the right hand, then the left, then put the two hands together. Play the music slowly until you've got the rhythm correct, and the volume. Eventually, everything falls into place. The longer you play, the easier it is to try something new. Same with sewing, or any "art form". ❤😊 Then, you realize you rarely need a pattern to sew...or resize a project.
"You're husband needs dinner, or something ridiculous" I laughed so hard cause you are right. Every time I have a moment to sit down and dive into a project it isn't long before I have to go whip up dinner. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us. I really appreciate you helping us beginners.
I know!! What's up with that?!?!? :) But you must MAKE time to quilt!! Thank YOU for taking the time to watch my little tutorials here on You Tube!! I surely do appreciate it! :)
Jean Truelove you're so funny! I love your tutorials and I sure wish I could invite you over for a cup of coffee but I'm a little too far away. By the way your son and is doing an excellent job videoing!
Fantastic, Jean I am so very glad that I accidentally found your video. Now maybe all the fabric I have been collecting through the years will finally become works of art. I have always just told myself that when I become more confident with my old machine, that I will make something really pretty for myself and then for my boys. I have hand sewn some pieces, although not very well and never finished since all I ever completed was a top..lol. Sorry for the giggle, but I made that top when I was pregnant with my second child for his baby blanket and he just had his 30th birthday. I cannot wait to learn from you. ~SuzyJCinColorado~
I'm so pleased you found me also! Your poor little baby 30 year old - Finish his darn quilt, would you?!?!?!? LOL!!! HAHAHA!!! Yes, learn SOMETHING!!! And you can get back to quilting and you will LOVE IT~!!!! Thanks again for finding me!! :)
Hi Jean! I love your pinwheel block. I just wanted to say that you are very clear in your explaining on what you are making. Most professional quilters don't take the time to explain in detail what they are making. They run through it way to fast. Even my daughter, Jen who doesn't know hardly anything about quilting loves to watch you. She says it's because she can follow and understand you easily. When I watch Jenny Doan or Angela Walters she says they don't explain what they are doing very well and that they just rush through it. How do you expect a new quilted to follow and understand what you are talking about when you just rush through it? But she loves watching your videos because of how clear and precise you explain and show us what you are doing. We will be looking forward to your next video.
That is lovely to hear! I feel that real beginners don't mind the repetition , repetition, repetition for emphasis! I think so many tutorials start on about step 7 ~~ assuming the beginner knows all about steps 1 through 6 ~ when they don't really have a clue! I tend to pretty much start at step 1....assuming nothing! :) LOL!
Hi Jean thank you so much for your great way of explaining things and please dont change you are very down to earth and thats why you will be very popular because your real if that makes sense thanks again from uour biggest fan from Australia
Hi Jean! I've missed you on JUQ! Just ran across this video and was SO excited to see your name!! You are a great instructor, and continue to inspire me! Debbie Macukas
Thanks for watching me!! its's not ONE ten inch...it's 2 ten inch squares put together and then when sewn and OPENED up into the half square triangles, then sewn back together, THOSE units make up the 12 inch pinwheel block. Hope this helps! ;)
Wonderful news about the medication working! The worst is behind you, and your strength will return slowly and steadily. Your viewers are rejoicing with all the Trueloves. Have some of that lentil and kale soup.

Super! Thanks for letting me know:)
@@jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory thank you so..much.
Love watching your videos very helpful. You are so exsitted showing us these pinwheels thank you I am new at quilting and your way was so easy for me. I made perfect pinwheels.
Thanks Cindy! I pretty much stunk at pinwheels so was pleased to find a fairly precise method where I didn't screw up to bad making them! LOL!
I’ve learned so many little details about piecing from you that has helped me perfect my sewing. Thanks for teaching from a beginner’s point of view!!! I love watching and listening to you. 💕💕
Thank you for watching me:)
Have tried this block after watching your very helpful tutorial and they are turning out great. Thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions !
Good for you!! They are easy if you go slow and steady and keep that 1/4" seam!! And of course, iron iron iron!!! :) All the best!! Thanks for tuning in! :)
I watch you almost daily. Sometimes I need your input to get me going. Thanks
Aw, what a sweet thing to say! My humble thank you! :)
I absolutely adore your videos. You are such a good teacher and I love your conversational style.

Just wanted you to know, I love your teaching!! hank you for thinking of us Beginners!
Oh thank you Rose, I appreciate that;)
Thank you. I have frequently, in the comment section of other quilt videos, asked how to reduce the size of the quilt that has been demonstrated. Thank you. I look forward to many of your future videos
Glad it was helpful!
That’s a great pinwheel. That’s exactly what I have done , but some didn’t turn out as good. I am determined! Ty for this video. 😊
Glad I could help!
You are such a inspiration and such a good instructor. I stumbled across your videos and I am delighted that happened and I look forward to anything you have to share. You are so down to earth and very giving. Thank you.
What a sweet thing to say!!! :)

While I'm lock in and laid up with sprained ankle, sprained foot in 3 places and a broken bone I've been watching utube. I like the way you explain things. When I get some mobility I think I will try a pinwheel block and the 10minute and 3minute block.
Thank you for the way explain things.
Thank you for taking time to watch!
Thank you for sharing all of the details! Great work & clear instructions. You have a great voice and personality for this! 💜💜💜
Thank you very much:)
This is wonderful. I’m thinking I can do quite a few table runners for Christmas gifts. Just a quick question. Shd fabrics be washed before starting a project? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jean... enjoying these tutorials. It's a good refresher. . I think I know what to do with my 10 in squares. Many hugs as well hope all is well.
You are so welcome Ginette:)
Aw sweetie....how kind of you! And all the way from Portugal!! WOW OH WOW!!! Just so cool! Thanks again!! :)
Oh wow! Jean I love this TH-cam video. I have a bunch of Fall themed layer cakes. I would never have thought I might be able to create your pinwheel in Fall colors and patterns. You have made it less intimidating. This super patient and detailed lesson has me so excited to try this. Thank you so much.
Thanks Richard! Enjoy:) Remember, this is a 10 minute block that took me 20 minutes to explain!! LOL!
@@jeantruelovetruelovequiltsfory Oh my, then it will take me a day and a half.LOL
This is the very best pinwheel block I have seen. Thank you. I can do this!
OF COURSE you can! Just remember, slow and steady, 1/4" seam and press press press and they will be perfect!! You GO!! :)
Beautiful! I love the fabric choices. Your instructions are wonderful and thank you for sharing!
So kind of you to say so!! I appreciate that very much!! :)
Thank you for thinking of us beginners - Looking forward to seeing what you have for us.
You are quite welcome! I'm enjoying sharing the little I know with others!! :) Thanks for watching!
Love the way you explain as you go. Thank you
You are so welcome Shirley:)
Thank you. I appreciate you being so simple.
You are so welcome! SIMPLE is my middle name!! LOL! Thanks for taking time to watch:)
Thank you for the measurements to reduce the square size. You are a great quilter
Aw thanks so much:) I appreciate that:)
You are a fabulous instructor! Thank-you!
Why thank you! And thanks for watching me:)
JEAN THANK YOU!! I am still very early beginner and I've watched so many tutorials my head is swimming. Your videos are simply the best! I accidentally stumbled on top your 10 min quilt block and was instantly hooked. THANK you again for these excellent tutorials!
I'm so pleased you 'accidentally stumbled'!! LOL!! Thanks for watching! Hopefully your head will stop swimming! Thanks again!
Thank you for thinking of the beginners , I've been sewing for years but I'm new to really to making the quilt all the way. I think that's why I love your teaching you SHOW us how to make not only fast and only once you"ll do it again at our speed for learners to get it or to not fear trying it. Thank You JeanLinda A , WV
thanks, Jean! just what i was looking for this very day.....a pinwheel for a 10" square! very helpful!
So pleased you found this and Me! :)
You are common sense quilting! Bravo.
Aw thank you Linda! I appreciate that;)
Hi jean I am learning so much from you .i love to quilt but I am not very good.i live in England I'm 71.
I enjoy watching you and have learned a lot of things , please keep the videos coming !
So kind of you! Yes, I will continue with this little venture...I am enjoying myself also!! Thanks again! :)
Thank you so much for this. People don't want to take on beginners after they themselves have progressed beyond.
Thank you so much! Remember that quilting should RELAX you ~ not stress you out!! :) All the best and thanks again:)
Great job! Runner looks so good. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. Extremely helpful.
Thank you! You are very welcome and thanks for watching! :)
Great tip about starting small... My first quilt was a Eleanor Burns Lovers knot lap size. Very simple and i loved the process so all excited my second was a queen size for my moms birthday!!! Thats a lot of quilt to maneuver in my machine..
I know..what's up with us thinking we're all cute and clever and can START with huge projects!! :)
Jean Truelove delusions of grandure.... Lol
Thanks Jean your pinwheel table runner is beautiful, especially the peacock fabric love it. 👍❤️😊
Thank you! 😊
Love ya
Winsomes Pretty Woman from Altadena, California
Thank you very much! You might have to watch a few times, as I tend to talk very fast! :) I appreciate you taking time to tune in~
Love your comments " slow is smooth". I repeat it while sewing, this is very helpful
Wonderful Adela! Well done:)
I love all of your videos thank you for all of your advice you make it look so easy I plan to make your place mats soon I love your wall of fabric so beautiful thank you!
Awesome! Yes, make those placemats...they are so easy and you'll be so proud!! Thanks for tuning in to me! I really appreciate it!
You are a great teacher and so inspiring! Good luck building your channel. More people really need to find you!!
Oh thank you! Please tell people about me....I really am new to this TH-cam thing and don't really have a clue!! :)
FYI it used to be the rule of thumb not to open the seams and press, this was because the batting they used in antiquity(lol) was not as good as we have now and would escape the seams as time went by. Alas we've come a long way....you are a joy!!!
OH! I did not know that!! We learn something new every day - I just went along with the 'norm'....Thank you so very much!! :)
Beautifully perfect. I’m going to try it.
So pleased! Thanks and all the best:)
Thank you for this awesome video. . I have made these quilts long, long ago, but forgot exactly how to do this square from cutting, to sewing it together. Ha! now I remember. I wanted to do a table runner in this pattern for my daughter in law. Thank you again Jean!!
You are so welcome Rose:)
Ty for making it easy peasy for me. I'm new at quilting and this is the best yet quilt block I've done. I'm going to give it a shot and know that I can do this bc of your beginner tutorial. Mahalo and God bless you🌺
Super Gilda Ann:) Glad you liked it:)
I just made my first ever pinwheel following your tutorial x
That makes me very pleased! :)
Hi jean . I have made my first pinwheel square and it has turned out great.thankyou so much

Wonderful Shelia~ Thanks for finding me:) And for taking the time to watch:)
Hi Jean, I am thrilled with your videos. Thank you so much. I'm making my 2nd quilt from your 10 min blocks. They are so elegant and I wanted to show you my twist. As soon as I figure out how lol.
How wonderful!!! Oh my goodness! That is awesome! Thank you so much for watching me!
Great video. Like the idea of starting small.
Glad you liked it Pam! Thank you:)
I really appreciate your videos.
How kind of you!! :)
You are hilarious! I was just laughing away. I do have to say, you really did make that look easy and less intimidating. I am a brand-brand new quilter, thank you for the tutorial!
Thank you so much for watching me! It can be easy if you keep small and go nice and slow and choose an EASY pattern! Thank you again! :)
Brilliant Jean. Love your choice of fabrics. I think I'll get my Christmas fabric out and try this for my Christmas dinner table. Thank you for posting. Love your work and your videos xx
So happy you watch...yes, this little project is perfect for the holidays! Thanks again!
Housework gets in the way too.
I've put in lower wattage light bulbs...that way you don't see the dust.....:)
Jean Truelove you're so funny! I love your tutorials and I sure wish I could invite you over for a cup of coffee but I'm a little too far away. By the way your son and is doing an excellent job videoing!
Aw sweetie....thank you!! I will be sure to tell my Eliot! And One day we will have a cuppa together!!! :)
Your ideas are not daft or silly they are quite interesting!
Why thank you!! I appreciate that!! :)
Suzy Cowan b
thanks so much for this lesson..I followed direction and made this into a placemat..new to quilting and it came out great..thx...
Now isn't THAT satisfying!! Well done You!!! :) Thanks so much for tuning in!! :)
:) LOL!
Thank you for this!!! I tried to wing it on my first one of these this am, but then found your video tried again and it is damn near perfect!!
Clever You!! Thanks for watching me!! :)
Ty for you great sewing pinwheels i love ❤️ them ty very much 😊
Thanks for watching me Elaine:) (My middle name is Elaine:)

Wonderful!!! Yes, this method is awesome - remember Slow, Smooth and Small at first! :)
Hi Jean loving your tutorials I’m new to quilting how does a ten inch become 12 inches bit confused thanks x
Thanks for watching me!! its's not ONE ten inch...it's 2 ten inch squares put together and then when sewn and OPENED up into the half square triangles, then sewn back together, THOSE units make up the 12 inch pinwheel block. Hope this helps! ;)
Love it. You are a great teacher!
So kind of you to say...really nice. Thank you SO much! :)
Great video!
Thank you:)
thank you so much..... love your videos.
