It feels really good to see another guy working on quilting. The representation is encouraging and helps me remember to do what I want and not think about what many people say. Thank you for that.
Loved your tutorial. I have yet to make a quilt. After watching your tutorial, I feel like I have a chance to be successful with this “basic “ style. And hopefully, grow from there.
TY Teancum!! You sure make me smile with your lil speaking take2’s!!! You’re a hoot! One of my fave blocks…even tho simple. Love your tips! Happy sewing
T, love your videos and how you explain how to accomplish sewing techniques on quilting to get professional results. I look forward to watching more of these techniques!!! You’re fun to watch with such a positive characteristic of your personality!!!
Teancum , I have been sewing from the age of eight years , I have sewn heirloom cloths, baby cloths ,and dressed my children with sewn cloths until they got so big they would not where them sewn for myself , so about 18 years ago I had to have back surgery and I decided to try quilting I had tried it one other time but didn't follow thru with it so heres what im getting to I tried the pinwheel quilt 4in square , I did not know about the method you used when I made my grand son a quilt , I made so many mistakes . But I love that you are teaching people like me and so many others that there are easy ways to sew a quilt . So thank you for sharing , and i'm sorry about the book I wrote i'm just a lonely old lady .💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

Thanks for watching! We do have an older tutorial with the Sister's Choice block: th-cam.com/video/V1Bgfk45hOU/w-d-xo.html We hope we can make a new one soon!
Hey Teancum! Thank you for showing me an easier way to do HST's and to get the points to match! I dearly love your history lessons on quilt blocks. Can you tell me where you find your information? I find it fascinating that some go back 200 years. Thanks for the videos! ~~Lynne
I love the fundamental series. The history is interesting. But I have to admit my stomach lurched at your cutting too. Just turn the block a half quarter turn more than you did (ears in the upper right) and cut up the right side and across the top. Then do the same on the other side. Don’t want you to get hurt! Keep up the good work!
So helpful. I am starting out quilting and I have stared out with using a layer cake but my points to my pin wheel never come out in a point. 😢what am I doing wrong?
Thanks for watching! If your points aren't lining up it is because your seams are not exactly the same. One thing you can try is marking a line where you are going to sew, to make sure your seam is exactly the right width (1/4") and it is straight. Then your points will line up perfectly! Happy quilting!
ೋღ☃ღೋ G'Day T-Man from Australiaೋღ☃ღೋ Great tutorial and history lesson! Thank you. Maybe use the ruler from the other side so you cut the right side of the ruler (not the left if you are right handed) then top that way you don't have to cross your arm. However as I said if you are comfortable doing that it is up to you! I love the quilt behind you, love flying geese!
I’ve refined my count- working windmills . Not the halfsies or the decorative but actual working ones For the cattle. Yep. Riding between SW towns. . .
😍😍So sorry I am just catching this .I am trying to catch up on the comments. Hope to do better in the future. Thanks for watching our lives. We appreciate it !!!!!!
You are a good teacher but you really need to improve your cutting techniques. You’re supposed to be demonstrating proper methods as a teacher, not a “Do as I say, not as I do,” technique. When you were trimming your squares, all you needed to do was spin your ruler around and you could have trimmed properly without possibly cutting yourself.

Quilting is a great way for people of all kinds to express themselves, we're incredibly glad you feel the inspiration. Keep it up Nick!

Isn't the quilt behind you Dutchman's Puzzle?
Yes! The basic block of the Dutchman's Puzzle is the basic pinwheel. 🙌😀 Thanks so much for watching!

Living in the SW- Road trips are inevitable. You can either count windmills or cows.
Haha. Love it!
I’ve refined my count- working windmills .

Hi Teancumh
Hi! Thanks for watching!

😍😍So sorry I am just catching this .I am trying to catch up on the comments. Hope to do better in the future. Thanks for watching our lives. We appreciate it !!!!!!
What happened to the purple fabric?
He pulled a switch! 🤣🤣 Thanks for watching!
Why aren’t you setting your seams before pressing them open?
Good tip! Thanks for watching!

Thank you for watching! Yes, Teancum got a lot of flack for his cutting in this video! We hope you can join us next time!
I notice none of you back stitch. Is that not necessary for quilting?
Matter of preference
Mate, tutorials with music blaring is so counter intuitive.
We apologize the music was distracting. We have many tutorials and we hope you can find some that you enjoy more. Thank you!
