what an excellent break down. I've recently discovered this world of tequila, and i'm jumping face first, and i appreciate you guy's commentary and i get where you guys are coming from. Thanks again for sharing.
This was fantastic, thanks for the drinkthrough! My lady and I went through a bottle of the repo on Sunday for Bloody Marias and they were absolutely fantastic.
Another awesome Drinkthrough! G4 is the best tequila I've found in my area of MN so far. My favorite of the base G4s have been the XA and the Blanco. I've got to pick up the Repo again, it's been awhile. The channel has been killin' it, as always thanks for the content :)
I'm late in finding this, as I've only recently delved into tequila, but this was extremely helpful. Although a curve ball was thrown when I initially thought you were agreeing on just the Blanco and Xtra Anejo 3 yr, then changed out the blanco for the repo at the end..... LOL. Appreciate these drink throughs....
I had a bottle of the G4 108 Blanco (by accident thinking it was regular blanco) and I don't like it. I tried but I thought it was a bit sharp and too much on the funky side (whatever that was) rather than the sweet & fruity side. I am curious about the others though.
@@benschwartz7447 : I'm sure it is but I just don't like the flavor. There are other top brands that aficionados love and are of very high quality that have subtle flavors that just don't appeal to me personally.
From the whiskeys I tasted so far, I didn't like the flavour which the barrel added. I am a huge tequila blanco fan, tasted some really good ones like the Fortaleza blanco and made many drinks with Don Julio or Espolon. The only reposado I ever had was from Espolon and I prefer their blanco. But I want to taste some better reposados or even at somepoint anejos to see if i like the barrel flavour in tequilas. Would you say the G4 repo is a good start or should I maybe go with Fortalezas one to understand it more? Or is it a one-way street when I already don't like the taste of the barrels in whiskeys and stick to blancos? I'm really not sure and here in Europe the tequilas are more expensive then else where ^^
G4 108 and the Repo are my favorites of the line, with the Repo my overall favorite. I've never tried a SB version. Why mess with an already great formula? The Anejo is just ok, which you echoed my take on it. I'm not much of an XA guy, so I'm still hesitant to try the XA for that much $$. Please keep the tequila reviews and drinkthroughs coming!
NOM 1579 - buy anything made by Felipe Camarena and you will be a happy tequila drinker. Try them all and go back to your favorites again and again. G4 & Terralta are the Felipe-owned marquee brands. Thanks for walking us through the entire G4 lineup and sharing your thoughts.
Gotta say I’m surprised with the comments on the 108. When I tried it I get it was an absolute explosion of sweetness from the agave and was much sweeter (in a non additive way) than the regular blanco.
Man Fortaleza g4 and terralta have been absolutely amazinggggg lately. Sucks it's so hard go find Fortaleza and g4. Just picked found a bottle of the g4 repo today first time finally trying g4 and im impressed.
Very easy to find G4 in Cali. 40 bucks for blanco at K&L wines and plenty of stock. The only thing hard to find is Fortaleza but that’s been the case for 3 years
@badkid73 at the time of my post 1 year ago it was hard to find lol. It's not any more but those are just the blancos. You still don't see repo anejo or extra anejo often. Teralta has changed the price on their extra anjeo as well from $80 to like $130. Same exact juice as g4 but a fraction the cost.
My question has nothing to do with this particular video . Highland park Single cask releases. Is there any chance they will increase in price greatly due to the limited # of each released thx ! Keep making Great videos! Sean
I haven't heard that they will. They are already pretty pricey, and they don't seem to fly off the shelves, so I wouldn't think they would, but in this crazy whiskey world, who knows!
Interesting question. I'd probably lean towards the ArteNom among those choices, but mostly because it is a good price point vs. the Tapatio. If you throw G4 Extra Anejo in there, that might be my winner though. Cheers -Dutch
You guys just seem unable to taste. You didn't identify the very characteristic G4 in your blind tasting, you never tasted the briny, olive taste that is so special for this brand. Guys, don't trust them

Love G4. Only had the blanco and 108. The 108 is fantastic. Need to get my hands on the repo and madera
Sanka, ya dead?? Yeah mon! haha so classic Jules! Cool Runnings, it means 'Peace be da journey' ...Love it!
Everything from El Pandillo is AMAZING!

Well done. I'm a tequila newbie, just bought the G4 Blanco. Took a while to get used to, but now I'm loving it.

High proofs are a different animal. I love them, especially G4 108. Enjoy the journey. Salud!

A bit too sharp on it’s one. Make a ranch water with it. Incredible.

You’re my go to guys. Thanks for drinking!
In North TX it's $44-50 for the Blanco
Amazing! Thanks for review

G4 is nowhere to be found where I live. Can you review some Don Julio? That is available everywhere.
Love the G4 lineup! Great review. Thanks.
Yalls collection of tequila is absolutely amazing! I'm extremely jealous
Have you all compared the G4 108 to the Fortaleza Still Strength? Trying to figure out which to get.
How much $ does G4 madera Blanco lot 2 go for?
Great review gents. Picked up a bottle of chamucos tequila, hopefully it is tasty.
Is Mexican g4 the same Alc vol to the one here in the states?

My bad, I meant G4 extra anejo 3 year
Please do a review on El Tequileño
Dammit man every time you guys review something I wish I can taste it too. Thanks for the video 👌🏻
13:53 that’s what she said…
The real deal Holyfield! G4
Started my evening with Arette repo, then Fortaleza repo, and now I’m sipping G4 blanco while watching this video. ¡Viva Tequila!

What Costco Dutch?
San Diego. But it was over a year ago!
G4 is my favorite tequila.
Dutch Cinque!
I notice real tequila drinks all waysssss prefer repos
Not a big fan of the blanco
