To find what you really think, drink them blind. I have been saying this since the Bourbon Guild days. Great content guys!
So true. I have been surprised and even shocked at times with the results.
Hands down the best tequila videos on TH-cam! Can't wait for the new Blanco blind battle. Should include Siete Leguas and Suerte for common, good value brands. Great work guys 👍🏼
Dutch and Jules: **picks different than Dillon**
Dillon: *whoa whoa whoa*
These blind tastings have helped me explore tequila options. Love these you need to challenge other tequila creators on the tube and see how they perform
I love these videos. Please keep them coming, especially, as you hinted, with different brands. Your advice regarding the Arette and Ocho in previous videos was spot on.
I need more of this asap! Your videos are so much better then anything else on the internet!
Amazing work, guys! Love the Blind Tastings for the different types of Tequila's, and my friend and I are starting on our journey into Tequila with your help, just took a while to get all of the bottles of each type so we can do the blind together with you! Thanks again for the awesome details and content!
Such a great show! Can’t wait for more Tequila blinds!
love what you guys do. definitely going to grab a bottle of the g4 xa. look forward to your lalo vid. Cheers
I love the fact that you guys use black glen cairns to do a proper blind. Thanks for the information and entertainment!!! You are so awesome. And Dillon is ok too!!! 😂
This episode was pretty chill ngl
Love the blind test series! You guys are always fun to watch and super entertaining! Suggestion for the next tequilas. Don Fulano, Tapatio, Mijenta, Cazcanes, and Chamucos! Keep up the great work!!
Thanks! We've actually already filmed the first episode... and you've listed 3 of the 5 we picked! Stay tuned....
Nice! My G4 extra Anejo is so awesome! Having a pour of Paradiso watching this video!
I tried el Tesoro extra anejo last week. It’s out of this world. Just unbelievably good
The Arette is great!! I need to try the other ones
Of course G4! $135 and always out of stock...lol
Had the pleasure of drinking all 4 and all of them are great but el tesoro is my go to. You can’t beat the price point either!!!
Love your show and the way that you guys interact. Love the way that you do the blind tasting, and it’s definitely influenced a couple of bottle purchases for me already. Thanks you guys!
Ocho and Arette and El Tesoro are very good. Never had g4. Cheers!
Awesome! Can you guys please give us a quick video on how you setup your blind tastings. Dutch and Jules, what you do and what you write down. And how you read the answers at the end. I’d love to do the same at home
Great idea!
@@CuriosityPublic you saying that excites me haha
Would love to see a Don Fulano drink through from Blanco, repo, anjeo, extra anjeo. Then put it against those.
G4 is flying off the shelves pretty fast
Best extra añejos I have tried, Tears of Llorona and Tapatio Excelencia 🤤. Next one if I could find it, Cazcanes Extra Añejo.
*smells yellow again and it's obvious*. That is why blinds are so important!
So, I don't know if you'll see this or not, but as someone who's favorite extra anejo is Dos Artes... but can't find it anymore at a semi-reasonable price, which extra anejo might do as a good substitute? One of these? Or something else maybe?
Man I didn’t even know Tequila Ocho makes an XA
Interesting that 3 of these are produced by master distillers that happen to be brothers.
Wow, that is so awesome, so unexpected. Love the blinds!! Is there going to be a blind for the high proof blancos?
yes - it is coming - however our "round 1" HP Blanco will probably come out AFTER our round 2 regular blanco episode....
Need a new blanco and reposado test! Tres agaves for the win!!
When it shifts from Jules to Dillon to being the outlier
I have a bunch of the Lot 1 G4 XAs but its the 38% version. I have tried the 40% and really couldnt detect significant
differences.
Would you guys ever do a tasting of Rey Sol with a taste of between it and Tears of Llorona?😋
Can you guys do a Terralta full line tasting?
Hey guys,
How long can a tequila remain in an unopened bottle under the right conditions and still maintain its state? Some people says that after five years they lose their taste. I am thinking of buying a tequila ocho añejo but it has a label of 2017. What's your opinion? Thanks.
In a sealed glass bottle it will last indefinitely. Also, that is the year it was distilled. So with the añejo that was probably bottled in 2019
I so wish there was a better tequila selection in the south east. What are the prices and your location on these Extra Añejo tequilas?
The El Tesoro and G4 are around $100. Arette around $150 and the Ocho was around $190 if I recall correctly
You might have some success at total wine in the south East. We don’t get anything shit in VA, but I have seen all the El Tesoro whole lineup (including the EA) in FL, GA, and SC Total Wine. Also have found some Ocho and G4 there.
Maybe I missed it but I know this channel has Tears and the Tapatio XA under the bar. Where do those place?
we've got reviews on both of those I believe. Both are excellent and Tapatio will be in our next blind series -stay tuned.
Is there going to be an XA bracket with this as just one round?
@@rohitchandra8785 we may in the future
Should have included Paradiso bc of no Fortaleza
Tapitio XA 👌
Those four are my least favorite extra Anejo. Pasote, Wild Common & Cascahuin would probably be my top extra picks. But the Pasote is so far ahead of the others it’s ridiculous.
Total score for all for test? Interested to know
I am a lover of tequila and have hundreds of bottles and it doesn't surprise me that el tesoro does well. Also, siete leguas would do very well
Without looking I’ll guess G4
Yesss I did it.. G4 reposado and extra anejo are elite.. and Ocho in last where it belongs 😂
Can I guess the next round of 5 tequilas to be blind tasted? So we can go buy them and blind taste along with y’all?
Main Guesses : Cazcanes, Don Fulano, Cascahuín (Are these it!?)
For Sure: 7 Leguas, Tapatío
Extra Guesses: Volans, Tres Agaves, Chamucos, Cimarron
you have 4 of the five! It will be Cazcanes, Don Fulano, 7 Leguas, Tapatio and El Tequileno
Where's tears of llorona?
Not a fan of extra Anejo might as well drink a good aged rum
Reposado is the perfect aged tequila imo as it still taste like tequila
Im a fan of bourbon and extra añejo tequilas. What rums would you recommend?
@@DJSwizz15anything by Don Pancho
He has his own lineup Don Pancho rum and also makes rum for Zafra. Can't go wrong with a Zafra 21 yr or Don Pancho 18. 30 year from both are amazing. Ron Abuelo 30 year is delicious if you can get it. Havana club maestro selection is delicious. Dictador has some really nice options. Also check out Ron Zacapa and Flor de Cana.
I prefer the Spanish style rum over British style. Some people love the Foursquare rum from Barbados. Not my preference but it's good if you're into British style.
Why never any Siete leguas?
It's in the next round of brands
