Her son is hurt and may end up resenting her for a very long time, she’s suffering from depression and her relationship with her sister will never be the same. To me, as bad as what op did was, the biggest villain in this story is the BIL.

    I thought the aunt said something bad about op, like "you can't see dad because your mom is a terrible person..... (Which she is)" but she actually help op right there, aunt give op's kid a nice, simple and believable story. But no, aunt is entitled, the woman who have the courtesy of helping and housing op is entitled.
    Why does it feel like op secretly want to ruin her sister marriage and get with bil, i mean she did cheated. There had to be some lingering feeling.

    I don't know how I feel about the first story, sure the Aunt shouldn't told op's son a lie. However, just by looking at the actual post on reddit and reading the comments plus the updates, it seems like the sister's husband wasn't a good person but the op should've listened to the psychologist as they were trying to help her.

      Very easy. It's a topic that didn't come up. Plus the ex was really good at hiding who he is. It is impossible to cover every belief and every topic when you're dating.
