I used to think the same thing, and with the #'s he puts up I agree. But with time passing on he is just proving more and more to me that his numbers don't lead to wins. I love Siakam had him in fantasy the last 3 years, but if he is your main guy you're not going anywhere. He has Vanfleet, OG, and Scottie with a pretty decent bench and they still sit at 5 games under 500.

@@yisroelkonovitch Yes they made it to the playoffs as the 5th seed and what happened??? They were booted in the first round so i could care less what seed they were. Kawhi is a difference maker and he brought them a chip (tarnished cause had Klay and KD not been hurt the warriors win that IMO), but ever since Kawhi left and Pascal has been the #1 option they have achieved nothing. Luka all by himself carried the Mavs to the Western Conference finals. Pascal by himself has proven thus far he is not capable of doing that.

@@TheyHateWuka Ya'll lost the Porzingas trade, like you could have traded him for something better. Wizards won the trade because Beal stayed in Washington because of him and Kuzma has said if Beal and Porzingas stay, he will also stay. All three of them are averaging 20 plus points and have a above 0.500 record when they are playing together.

Hey man, love your shit. Question, were these ranking by position per conference? Curious about the data on this one not to dispute you but because I feel like knowing how the players vote is HUGE information. It shows so clearly that we don't have good accuracy as fans about how good certain players are. You can see how big that is. Anyway, thanks for the content, you do this very well and I see you in the work it took to get here and the work it takes to create this stuff.

If Kyle Kuzma made an all-star, it means Paolo Banchero also should. The both have almost similar raw stats and advance stats. But the thing is, Paolo plays in a bad team but Kyle plays in an already established team. Thats why I think he's not an all star for sure.
The thing is Kuzma is helping his team win and they are the 9th seed, and they were playing pretty bad at first. Paolo isn't and the Magic is the 13th seed.

You should consider some level of statistical rigor here. I mean, is 1-2 rank deviations a “disagree”? Certainly not Statistically significant. Is 5vs 12 actually statistically notable? Idk you’d need the numbers but would be interesting that way
With a stellar top 4 of giannis, embiid, Tatum, and Durant. A fan base was always going to be angry. In all reality no one remembers all star starters. In the end it’s all star appearances that matter for legacy not all star starts.

It Is clear to me that media wants to show the next gen stars in the all star game maybe in order to catch some new fans in long term and make them love a player that they could Watch for some years, like Tatum, over kd that, probably, Will retire in 5/6 years. I want to see what players have to say when Klay drops ten 3s a night on their faces. Klay is the only one this season to make 10 3s in a game, and it was with an efficiency of 50%. Gotta respect Klay when he's hot.

He’s not an all star though. There are so many guards in the West that are better than him, and this is coming from a Warriors fan. The following guys are better than Klay this season: Steph, Luka, Ja, SGA, Fox, Dame, D Book, Anthony Edwards, CJ McCollum, and personally I’d put Poole ahead of him as well (but that is debatable). That’s at least 9 guards ALL in the West that are better this season than Klay Thompson.

Yeah I gotta agree with Trae Young being kinda overrated. Like yeah, he can put up numbers that will make him look like a star, but I don't think he'll ever contribute to winning basketball as the star of a team. He would have to take more of a backseat role with a team to find more success, but I'm not even sure he'd be able to have a solid impact if he's not the primary ball handler and shot taker. If he's the 2nd or 3rd option, what is he really bringing to your team? Honestly I just don't think highly of players whose only role is scoring and can't play any defense.
