      Seriously, been doing this for weeks. Noted.

    • @charleslavina6430
      @charleslavina6430 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      TheMrsBeagle Yes it is okay, generally, vitamin c has a ph level of 3 so it makes your skin a little bit dry while the hyaluronic acid gives and retains the moisture on your skin making your skin still supple while using vitamin c. Hope this helps :)

      Merry... my skin is supersensitive to sunscreen as well. For my skin I have found that the mineral powder SPF’s work best. IT cosmetics has a great pressed formula in a compact that I love and Supergoop! had a loose powder with a built in brush that I want to try. There are even ones you can get at the drugstore… I think physicians formula also has one. There’s something about the tackiness or the consistency of the liquid sunscreen that freaks my face out. In addition to SPF I also use different serums to help protect against environmental stressors and free radicals. I do have sun damage and melasma, from my youth and from pregnancies, And there are some seriously great products out there for fading dark spots.

    The Niacinamide plus Azelaic acid on top of it also creates this gummy elmer’s glue reaction on my skin.. What works best is when I wait until the Niacinamide is completely dry before I put Azelaic Acid on top.. and that just creates the perfect base.. I don’t even need a primer or foundation.. this combo blurs out pores and in the long run made my pores super small.. I love The Ordinary products!

    I have had melasma for about 10 years thanks to our wonderful Florida sun and having a hard time finding sunscreen that didn't make me break out. The scarring was pretty bad for a number of years and I thought that I was going to have it forever. Thanks to you, I started using the ordinary products back in August of this year and my large dark "freckles" have really lightened up, also my breakouts have been minimized as well!! Thanks for all the knowledge you share 😁

    I made this mistake and used two products which do not mix well together, so I would end with more acne :\ The issue is that we are given too many products at once and then we do not do the research.

    While buying The Ordinary products on their site I didn't know what to get and was also purchasing for my boyfriend. I have oily skin and he has dry skin. I came across The Ordinary Chatroom and they have posts on what products to get for your skin as well as a morning and evening routine. I bought everything we need and we're gonna follow those routines and see how they work. It's really helpful upon purchasing these for the first time.
    EDIT: Also sent an email to their support team about which products to get and I got the most detailed, clear response with recommended products, routines and which products you shouldn't mix together and why. I love this brand !

    • @lia8602
      @lia8602 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I'm pretty sure that's fine, you wash your face in the evening anyways. And at least rinse your face in the morning (washing it again might strip it), so they don't really have that much contact. But hun please don't tell me you leave the house with acids on your face and no high sun protection in the morning. That's literally asking for ruining your face... And Them reapplying your sunscreen every 2-3 hours, which cancels makeup unless you have a powder sunscreen. That's why I personally prefer to apply acids only at night, and just switch them up daily pretty much. 😘

    Just a note on the mixing of salicylic acid and buffet - A pH 6 solution is still acidic as pH 7 is neutral. It reduced effectivity as the mixing of pH 3 and ph 6 would just average out somewhere in the middle.
    If it were to be an ‘acid - base’ reaction, buffet would have to contain a base (commonly hydroxides containing -OH but can be anything which accepts a proton (the H in the pH scale - the lower the pH, the more protons))
