You got some gorgeous guitars my friend, you have become my favorite whiskey tuber, thank you for everything! Wee beastie my everyday dram! 58 is young my guy! Here’s to another 58!
Thank you so much for watching multiple videos and all your lovely comments! My wife and I are full-time travelers now (@findingGinaMarie) and I've only got a couple of months left before celebrating 62 trips around the sun, but I'm discovering new bottles in each country we land. Also, I'm not greedy, I'll take another 40. ;) Cheers!
I’ve really enjoyed going back into your earlier videos like this one. I’m also a guitarist. You’re better than me. I enjoy the combination of your guitar riffs and whisky reviews. Keep up the good work!
This is currently my first Ardbeg bottle and I think it’s a great intro to the distillery style! I like it very much, to me there’s a BBQ-ashy smoke to it. In my market, the Wee Beastie is pretty cheaper than the 10 (27% cheaper) so it makes it even more worth it! At 6:10 you say that there’s no secondary aging but the Wee Beastie is actually aged in ex-Bourbon and ex-sherry casks ;) I do agree about that tar note!
You are correct! I just check the Ardbeg website (www.ardbeg.com/en-US/our-whiskies/ardbeg-wee-beastie). Thanks for catching that. I always think campfire for Ardbeg, but I can see BBQ as well. Cheers!
@@WhiskyRiffs I also agree on that campfire note! Definitely there in Ardbegs. I’ve tasted the 10 once but only a small sip and I’ll have to taste Uigeadail and Corryvreckan for sure.
Greets from Finland. I orderd my first Wee from Italy 10 months ago. I´m on my fourth bottle:) I love it. I don´t drink scoth other than the smokey stuff. Been at it for a little over a year. I love how raw the beast is. A smoke bomb with a bubble gum middle that ends up peppery. Sometimes it might taste too sweet so i splash some Ten in it and oh boy:) I hope whiskey tubers would come back to the beast and talk about it again. It is almost noon over here so I will have a dram of the beast. Kippis:)
Hello, Finland! Thanks for watching. Ardbeg makes some of my favorite drams. Their Uigeadail and Corryvreckan expressions are my favorites. I love hearing how easy it is for you to get their Wee Beastie. Cheers!
You got started with the Wee Beastie? That's cool, but tricky. It's not the most common peated Scotch expression on the market. I do like it's rough edges. Cheers!
It's always a personal preference, but I'll agree that the youth of this 5 year works well with the Ardbeg flavor profile. Campfire smoke and meaty juiciness combined with that youthful edge. Cheers!
Scottish whisky industry using mostly ex something 😀 casks... in US only fresh oak... that is also making a difference in color.. of course climate has a big influence as well... Great review Kev...

As a guitar player and whisky enthusiast. I love that you're incorporating both into your videos. Subscribed.
Welcome to the channel! I’m glad you enjoy the combination. Let me know if you have any requests (whisky or riffs). Cheers.

I cringe when I look at my older videos, but thank you for the compliments. I'm sure you're being too modest about your own guitar skills. Cheers!

The guitar is a nice touch. It helps one relax and ease into the experience of enjoying a fine dram.
Thank you so much! It’s good to know my guitar playing is a plus. 🎸😊
Your thumbnails always catch my attention!
4:52 😂 Great Scotch reviews, And great humor! Awesome.
I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos, Jeremy. It's fun to create content, but it's even better when it brings a smile to someone's face. Cheers!
Awesome review! I too hunted this one down and definitely making it a regular on my bar. 58 is still young in my book 👍. Cheers 🥃
Thank you so much! Ardbeg has been doing such a great job with their expressions. Cheers. 🥃
Hahaha the Star Wars joke was one of the best yet. Keep it up! Love the channel.
Thank you for liking that joke, Alec. Cheers! 🥃
Whisky Riffs it was probably your funniest one yet. Enjoyed the 58 year joke too.

It's 4u43 at night I couldn't sleep. Now I want a sip. Men look what you made me do.😃 Great review 👍
😂 Thanks, and sorry. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My first love is bourbon. This bottle ignited my love of peated whisky’s.

I don’t care what anyone says, that’s one of the best whiskies available! I think it blows the 10 away!

@@WhiskyRiffs and I could change my mind next week!!!!
I just got it as new year present 🎁 from my friend . I will take my time to sip it.
What a great friend! I do hope you two can share a dram or three. ;) Cheers!
A 58 Yr old still has a lot to offer
LOL thanks for the laughs and the reviews
Thanks for the compliment and comment! Now that I'm 60, I feel like I'm even better equipped to review whisky. Cheers!
Do a comparison video!
That sounds great. Which expressions would you like to see compared?

Thanks. Yep, US bourbon requires new oak. I had convinced myself that Scotch had a used oak rule for too long. Comments FTW!
I like it. Something different.
Different can be good. ;)
Nothing tastes like Ardbeg and nothing sounds like a Taylor. Cool video (even for a 58 year old, haha)
Haha, thank you so much for watching and for the compliment. Cheers!
Hilarious!!
Thanks for subscribing. Cheers! 🥰🥃🎸
