When’s the Ardbeg vs Laphroaig vs Lagavulin vs Bruichladdich (Octomore) blind?
Love the Ardbeg. I don’t think they can do any wrong. The whole core line up is excellent. Haven’t had the 19 or 25 but would love to. Uigeadail is my favorite of them. Raisins prunes plums. So good. 👍
Interesting. Everywhere else I've looked, Corryvreckan is the most expensive at $90-95. Oogie is more like $80-85. For me Oogie is tops, Corry, then the 10, An Oa, and the Beastie.
In Oregon the difference is even larger: $119.95 for Corryvreckan vs $94.95 for Uigeadail.
Ardbeg Uigeadail is my favorite readily available scotch.
Ardbeg… mmmm 😋 I ❤️ Ardbeg. I’ve tried them all except An Oa. Uigeadiel is my favorite. I also got a limited edition Scorch, which is charred barrel and delicious; I will be sad when that bottle is gone. Where I live, Corryvreken is the most expensive by a lot. Great video, thanks for posting it.
In Virginia, here’s how the prices work out:
Wee Beastie - $50
An Oa - $62
10 - $65
Uigeadail - $90
Corryvreckan - $120
At those prices, what would you be picking?
I usually keep Wee Beastie ($15 cheaper than 10 here) and Uigeadail on-hand.
Do I like Scotch? The short answer is YES! At last count, I have over 25 different Octomore's in my collection.

Corry is usually more expensive than the oogie. The list seems about right. I may go back and forth between the corry and the oogie depending on the mood.
Corryvreckan is more expensive than Uigeadail where I shop. An Oa is the best value.
Although I like ardbeg Ten better than Wee Beastie, the Wee Beastie is $18 cheaper in my location. As such I usually go for the Wee Beastie.
I have come to like Ardbeg Burnt semitruck Tires, but also enjoyed the rest of the repertoire, such as
Ardbeg -Burnt Dashboard, Ardbeg- Leather belt, and ardbeg -Gasoline
Corryvreckan is more expensive in my area as well.
When I tried it for the first time, I remember being disappointed because I was like, "Uigeadail is better!"
Uigeadail is the bomb-digitty. It's only $90.

I have uigeadail, port charlotte, and laphroaig cask strength as special event stuff(smoky) "protected" by Wee Beastie (much cheaper). For non-smoky, Monkey Shoulder keeps me away from the A'bunadh( Aberlour).

You´re missing one very important thing here. With these have peated flavour nukes, you must have a glass of water in between. =)

We met a guy in Kyoto, Japan that turned us on to Ardberg. I've always hated scotch. Irish whiskey if anything. Ardberg is my new go to. Bye bye Jameson......

You are missing out, then.
I would say exactly the opposite. Too many great scotches and so little $$$$ to spend on bourbon. Scotch outnumbers bourbon 10 to 1 in my collection of approximately 120 bottles.
