She had a sense of humor about life and herself...PRICELESS ❤
She was magnificent in her lavish simplicity.
What I like about this lady is that her face isn't stretched and distorted into a death mask, her neck shows her age and those beautiful freckles! This guy loves her look and I have for many years.
New Yorker VS Hollywood
Iconic without pretentiousness! #Elegance
Diana Vreeland, Eileen Ford, Edith Head, Irene, Jacqueline Bouvier, C. Z. Guest, the Countess Mona Bismarck, the Cushing sisters, Vicomtesse Jacqueline de Ribes, Josephine Premice -- a glamorous period gone with the wind!
Jay Young Great Comment!
Jackie Bouvier O and her sister Lee Radziwill, Imelda Marcos, Grace Kelly.
I’ll add one the iconic Nan Kempner!
Audrey Hepburn, Capucine
C.Z. totally GRANDE DAME...CLASS...
what a fabulous woman
She did make it look easy
I saw lovely Fifties photos of C.Z. Guest and was wondering, who is this lovely ice cream blonde? Semi-Platinum hair, nice bathing suit, shorts, attractive dresses. I can't picture if I saw her before or not. Sadly, she left us in 2003 at age 83. However, in her prime, she was the picture of super wealth, health, and a socialite. If not the most beautiful, maybe a bit stunning physically. Must learn more about her. Thanks for sharing.
This is CLASS! No other words CLASS.
This is what we should all aspire to, she was perfect!
She sounds a lot like Katherine Hepburn when she speaks.
The transatlantic Accent
Beautiful style... Very Kellyesque.
Kelly copied her. 😊
THAT is a socialite! Today's Instagram sex tape whores should take note!
FergusMcDopey - this a late reply - but what about CZ posing nude for a painting that hung behind the bar at a Mexico City Taco joint. After marrying CZ, Mr Guest purchased the painting of his wife.
Love her❤
Classy lady and a style icon
Come on that was everything
I love CZ, but she’s talking about style while wearing a kitty T-shirt.
Her daughter is very seriously involved in the rescue of animals on a large scale. Also CZ was receiving cancer treatments at this time. The cropped hair is regrowth
I was so confused.
WOW!
She sounds, not a snob only with her allure. I expected a more sophisticated prose and an impressive voice!
Always so elegant, why is she wearing that bit shabby t-shirt on the video?
Brillant 🎉
Cut the music in back ground.
This was a good woman
Music is too loud
elegant women
She’s very different from her peers who are Eurocentric’s.
She looks much younger now than she did then.
HOW does she do it ? 101 and in absolutely perfect form ! She looks twenty years younger than her age. She is spectacular!
Oh, I just realized she died at 83. Still, she was fabulous !
Just another guy who knows that if folks think you are French and you let them wildly mispronounce your name you can be rich by fooling them out of their money.
BTW Mainbocher really pronounced "Main Bocker". I love her name dropping while exclaiming how she is not swayed by fancy stuff.
Tom Tall She did not need to name drop. She was one of the queens of New York Society.
Sun damage really ages a person - surprised she was that neglectful with her sun exposure - RiP
Back in the day, there was no sunscreen, and the connection to skin cancer was not known. Tanning heavily was an indication you had money to jet to where the sun was shining any time of the year. To be heavily tanned (and not just a farmer's tan) in that era was an indication of high social status and wealth.
I thought her skin looked amazing. That! Is a facelift.
That and smoking.
And the only one out of that era that had no uppity qualities, and she raised her child not the nanny..
Actually, her two kids were very much raised by nannies...a governess named Mamzelle actually. Doesn't mean she was a bad mama,
rather a product of her own upbringing.
yes...having HELP does not necessarily reflect negatively on a woman's role as MOTHER...

“What are we here for, to attract a male” GAH! Dress for yourself ladies!
