    #yamaha #rebuild #fix
    Hey guys, this is a 2007 Yamaha Raptor 700 that I bought off Craigslist for 1800 bucks. It had an unknown issue that the previous owner tried to have fixed at the dealer where they could not find the issue. Knowing what I know now, this would have been a quick diagnosis, but a few years ago, this turned into a major learning experience. I hope you enjoy the video and thank you for watching! I really enjoyed watching this as it reminds me of my on-going project with my 1999 Yamaha Big Bear 350. Bought it for $1k and it kinda ran, had crap tires and sat outside from 2 owners before me after being driven through a mud puddle. So many issues I am still diagnosing, but honestly that is half the fun and knowing new and good parts are replacing the ever growing bad parts. And it runs really good after diagnosing the electrical demons that plagued it when I picked it up.
    Now I really want to get my hands on a Banshee or a Raptor and use it as my fun build.

    I can definitely disagree with you on that the raptor is the fastest quad of all time my cousin just bought a brand new raptor 700 last year I got a full stock banshe and the 700 lost off the line and in top speed. 700 are not as fast as you think they are off the line the banshee is the fastest quad, in top speed the fastest quad is a zill 500 stock.

      Banshee is fastest 100% all time stock no matter what

    Have you ever tried sunf tires? They're reasonably priced and seem to be holding up well for me. They're like a razor knock off

    Question kind of weird but do you keep something from your bikes after you get rid of them? (Sprocket bars ect) I do lol

      Not that weird haha, did that with the cars I used to do; I'd keep the shifters usually.

    I'm just getting into quads and plan to do most of the labor myself. Your message at the end is inspiring. By studying the manual videos and advice from someone I trust, I hope to be my own maechanic and to solve the problems myself after diagnosing like you idd with your white 770 nightmare. Keep them coming.

    Idk Michel about what you said in the beginning about raptor 700 being the fastest quad even faster then the banshee. Idk man I seen drag banshee vs a drag raptor and the raptor losses. I seen 450s smoke the shi out of 700 and that’s not including a drag setup

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nah man they're faster than R1 cars and 1000cc sport bikes; they did it on discover channel

      Just buy a Honda Fourtrax 300 and have no problems. You can ride all day for cheap and zero worries. I got a pristine 99 Fourtrax for $2200 with zero leaks, drips with probably less than 50 hours. They’re out there, just keep looking. That said. 500cc wheelers have a lot more balls, but a lot less mpg.

    Man Michael I subbed to your channel eventough I don't like quads nor 4 strokes. But I like the fact so much, that you take the challenges in your parents home garage and you show your (realtable) mistakes plus some of the throwing and trashing old junk parts cracked me up big time. I know as well editing these vids is a lot of work, you earned that sub my dude. BTW I bet my misters your neghbourhood loves your passion too - lol.
