    This is a 2007 Polaris Predator 500. A subscriber reached out to me telling me it had been sitting in his friends shed for 3 years and he’d take 500 bucks for it… GAME ON! Definitely an odd machine filled with strange parts and goofy mods (spoiler grab bar.) In the end, this quad was hella fun to rip and a great learning experience. Ur vids helped me invest into all my quads. Bringing back one sport quad at a time. I started with one banshee. Basket case. Thay flip turned into 8 banshee baskets and 6 other random sport quads. My kfx450r motor is done and I built it with no manual, just ur vid, and all my parts in bags. I'm now dedicated to bringing them back one at a time even if I don't make money. 87 250x is up now. Motor is almost done. Anyway love the vids, I can't see stopping tuning into ur channel anytime soon. Keep it up bro!!!

    Love the videos and I feel bad because I only comment when I notice things but you can use way less loctite. I like to put just a drop in the thread of the nut vs on the stud to help spread it as you thread the nut on and it helps keep from making a mess inside the cases. I've torn things apart where people were too heavy with threadlocker and it's gotten behind the taper and into woodruff keys and it makes it wayyyy more difficult to disassemble

    That grip glue don't look fun at all. My cousins use to use hair spray for these grips in the 2000s when racing core. Sweet update with this quad it looks good. Love the videos keep them coming

    Absolutely love watching your videos. Id love to do a build on a quad or mx bike one day but they are so expensive here in the UK even broken down they go for £1000's maybe one day

    The engine is metric because it's made by subaru in japan. (Fuji Heavy Industries). That is also the reason wht crank bearings are hard to come by, because they parted ways and Fuji stopped making replacement parts).

    • @MichaelSabo
      @MichaelSabo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They also made that bearing specifically for the predator/outlaw 500 instead of using a common bearing size like literally ever other manufacturer does in order to make production prices cheaper and continue part supply after manufacture. I spoke with Polaris directly during this whole deal lol.

      I glad you mentioned this I've been looking for a project quad and these predators are cheap on marketplace

    I remember when these first came out. Polaris sponsored Matt Smiley on the GNCC circuit to ride these. Their independent rear suspension was their unique option, no other high performance quads at the time had that option. This particular quad was in rough shape. I'm only about 15 minutes into the vid but very curious to see how this rescue goes. Btw, good choice on the Tusk products. I've been happy with every Tusk product I've ever bought
