Im watching because I want to buy a extra 5.7 hemi and do this and some Mods on the engine from watching your videos, Thank you for your uploads man, I really do appreciate it
Hey man I’ve watched pretty much all of your videos on this project and I gotta say you’ve done an awesome job. I just had a quick question, I haven’t seen or heard you mention what year this engine is? Keep up the great work, I love watching these videos!
Just a comment, pushrods are not all different sizes. Intake are all the same size and exhaust are all the same size. They will have worn in to their current location, but size should all be the same. Hydraulic lifters take up the slack if there are very small differences.
I bought 2015 ram 6 months ago alloffsuden bad KNOCKS I took the whole hemi apart watching your video I'm putting it back together you explain it pretty good I've done another engines but not HEMI should I put a better OIL pump on
Wow, I thought that was a much older Hemi... my 06 Hemi w/ 149k miles looks way cleaner (no offense). I'm sure it's the northern environment that's taken its toll on the metal. I'm in FLA, so no salt. Love the video!
hello friend, why do you think in my Hemi 5.7 2010, when mds is turned on and in eco mode, a crackling sound comes from the engine, as soon as you give gas everything is fine and quiet at idle, it’s also quiet, I don’t know where to climb, I changed the mds solenoids, the vvt solenoid did not change . any thoughts on what to do?
Hi thank you for these videos. I have one question, if my engine is still in my truck (2015 ram 1500) should I depressurize the fuel system before removing the intake manifold? Thanks again.
can you help me, I did the cam and lifters and now car starts and idles fine but gives code p0171 and p0174, I have my upstream o2 sensors in the exhaust and plugged in but downstream are just zip tied under neath plugged in but not in the exhaust as I've yet to weld it, but isn't this problem before upstream? please help
To anyone wondering and if they encounter similar issue, after having the exhaust bolted up after the headers the codes were gone, being the long tubes had different locations for the o2 sensors (being they were at the very end of the header, closest to open air) were causing it, so usually vacuum leaks, maf, map, or exhuast manifold or exhaust leak before bank one sensor for these codes, good luck
Jesus christ, I can't thank you enough. I'm NOT a car person and I don't want to pay someone to replace my MDS Wiring (I do want to keep it, haha) on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Literally, NO ONE shows the actual disassembly, they already have everything already taken apart and jump straight to the Solenoids. I probably could've figured it out, but I have a limited amount of time before I'm shipped back off for work to get it to stop throwing the code.

It is a 2014 motor out of dodge ram with 70,000 km on it, thanks for the kind words and watching.

Some have put the hell cat pump in, reignited did a good video, it definitely gets the oil flowing a bit more.
Do you need to take the oil pan off ? Or is that only if you change your chain and pump?
No need to take oil pump or pan off to switch cam lifters and do mds delete

Oh dang. I am literally doing the same thing at the moment. 2017 5.7 8hp70 into a 2011 Jeep JK Rubicon Unlimited
Nice it’s a fun project I’m guessing you’re using the Jeep speed shop kit
@@ghostlyrich yup. Just connected with their fb group

You can, best way is to pul fuel pump fuse or relay and start it, should sputter and burn the fuel out of the line
😂 how could anyone do all this with it still in the truck
How many miles on this Hemi?
70,000 kms so about 40-45,000 miles

Dod you have the sensors attached ?? If so disconnect them
@@ghostlyrich what should I look for after disconnecting them, thanks for taking the time and getting back to me
