Excellent drivability without a tune. Slight exhaust tone change, and very slight lope. Definitely different than stock. Pulls smooth, and seems to have smoothed out that weird low/mid rpm hesitation. Seems like there is more on the top end, but hard to tell how much on the butt dyno. Curious if it will drop off like a stock cam or if you can tune it out to 6250-6500
Is the chop noticeable? Want something like this cam since my stock is going out and down want my truck down for days on end putting new parts on. Still looking for a chop though
I just had the NTR/NSR Cam installed in my 14 Pursuit 3 days ago. It’s not dramatic but it does have a slight chop to it. You can hear each cylinder firing more noticeably. The stock cam sort of sounds more like a humming, less delineation of each cylinder firing. So far I’m noticing and enjoying the difference! If you want a better-than-stock replacement for your trashed stock cam/lifters, I’d recommend!
I work in North Carolina at Sport Durst Dodge (2 hours away from this shop) driving and selling these cars .I recommend these guys but risk and cost is involved.Thats the game of going faster.
Is that dyno run using the engine pictured with the ATI dampener? That would skew the numbers correct? Because people are claiming roughly 15hp freed up from the dampener change alone. Would like to see the actual video of a stock dampened engine with just the cam
I have had it since 2021. Have had issues with it throwing FA imbalance. It was installed by Ram Dealership plus have had tuning done many times. Lost mpg and power on my 2021 1500 E torque. Can not get it to run right fuel trims either still staying super rich
I having the same problem with the air fuel imbalance code . Mine only throws on bank 2 I might take it out and put in the stock cam, I also have long tubes I thought it was them but now I know I’m not the only one
@ yeah for sure. I am going to have my stock put back in a month or two. It also causes the FA to go super lean when cruising. Started noticing that also getting little shaky.
What’s MDS? I have 147k miles so idk which one to get initially I wanted to get the one that I could just plug-in and go, but it seemed like he’s only suggesting that for newer vehicles
What stock cam is that from on the graph, a 2500 or 1500 truck? Is this cam essentially a 1500 spec cam mated to 2500 cam non MDS? I have a 2011 1500 5.7 that needs repair from a lifter failure.
Anyone know how much Hp you can push with this cam? On the 5.7? I’m all fbo just need to know which camshaft route to go with , without breaking my bank account haha
@@fkwb youll get same power games with out losing drivability its 612 valve lift 218/226 duration so its a big ass cam even tho ITS STAGE 1 it doesnt mean anything its stoll bigger then the HR2 cam
Awesome. I have a follow up question that is semi related. Would you believe I can increase the torque of my 2005 dodge 2500 hemi 5.7 magnum to to the capability of a 5.9 Cummins engine? It is approaching 600 rated torque. Mine currently is rated 375. Purpose? I need something to tow a 15000 lb trailer which the Cummins can do. My truck max now is rated 13,800. If yes what mods do you suggest to achieve? Here is what I'm thinking. Long tubes, cold air intake replacememt, copper spark plugs, new high quality air filter, and fresh high performance synthetic oil.
No custom tuning needed but you would need to disable it with a flash/handheld tuner like a diablo tuner to delete/disable the MDS system in the computer.
6.1 crank power on a 5.7 platform is very nice for a slap in cam! I cannot wait to install and tune my custom grind i just purchased from you guy's!
It that simple . Quick question what would the end price be
I wish you guys made more parts for the early hemi rams with non vvt engines.

@williamEngleman-pl5kc i have mine tuned and shift point at 6350...it definitely pulls past 6000 rpm.
Do you have a video off the sound it makes? Does it sound stock?
Also do u have a video on the sound of this cam?
Where’s the link!! Interested
Seems like a good choice. Does it have any chop to it?
no, it sounds like factory

They have a video of their Delmonico Red truck with exhaust and they go to the tail pipe to hear how it idles.
If you have it tuned, your tuner can make it chop a little more ...

Working with Byron to get a custom cam for my 6.1. I can’t wait 💪🏾💪🏾

Not if the ATI damper was on it for the baseline run...which most likely it was.

it damps vibration.
it doesn't make anything wet.

I have mds version with mds lifter no delet and it makes the mds horrible also
Let the Ram dealership do it that's where the problem is LOL
@@inktheghost to be honest why would you try and mod an etorque engine?

Im curious, would this cam work with an edge pulsar?
Will it benefit from the Diablo 93 octane tune ?
Yes...I have mine custom tuned by Hemifever and it's a night and day difference.
Will it work on my 05 Chrysler 300c
Is a ram 1500 hemi Lonestar edition mdm or non mdm?
Would this work with the Pulsar on the fly inline tuner? Curious if that is possible
So to be clear this cams will not work on a 2006 Dodge Charger with a 5.7 Hemi?

I'm going to assume these cams will be happy on CARB biannual smog tests??
Do u have a 5.7 hemi 2006 Chrysler 300c?
Best cam for 5.7 hemi ?
What stock cam is that from on the graph, a 2500 or 1500 truck?

I have a 2011 1500 5.7 that needs repair from a lifter failure.
The 1500 5.7 and 2500 5.7 use the same cam.
Will the mds system work after installing the cam or it will be disabled
Did you even listen to the video, make sure you choose the right one for your application they have one for either or
What would a good choice be for a 10-11 psi procharged build? Looking for more mid to top end performance. Thanks
Honestly with that low psi stock cam or 6.1 cam is a better choice for you
Where can ya buy it & how much??? Non mds
The non MDS cam is about $620 before tax on their website

With the mds delete do you have to do a tune

Do you have a ph#? I got some Questions
Maybe try the mmx customer service
You never said the name of the cam or part number
The name of the cam is the no tune required cam.
Anybody tried it yet
I've been running it for 6500 miles now....its been awesome.
