I broke the cd of this game because it's annoying I shattered into pieces and I enjoyed it so much

Got this game over the holidays at one point, had a friend who wanted to borrow it.
Having not played it yet, and being nice, i lent it to them... they kept it . . .

or glad they took the "bullet" for me . . .
I honestly can say that for several games i liked back as a kid. Specially when i tried to play them again as an adult.
I have fond memories only because it was the first Create a Character. But gameplay is ass. Im about to replay it lmao

Here's a tip dodge the opposite way towards the other fist and vice versa, not the same way when the fists come down.
Also, keep moving left and right. Don't just wait for the attack.
Well, judging by the end of the end video, there are angles where oozaru will seemingly attack farther to one side, so staying in the middle is the only way to keep that strategy consistent
Matthew Brooks but keeping in the middle doesn’t help. He can still easily hit you when you’re in the middle
@@InsaneTestament The idea of keeping in the middle was to keep the Oozaru generally more predictable with his hits. From what I recall, when they started to move too far to the sides, it was harder to figure out where the AI would actually target.
If you guys wanna know the cheat code to beat every giant boss it’s simple when the full combo pops up you pause the game and you see the combo and can remember it and use it to your advantage
God this episode gave me an anxiety I thought long forgotten
My advice for the oozaru? When you get to the fist fighting part, STOP HITTING HIM AFTER YOU REACH 560 DAMAGE AND MOVE AWAY. Otherwise you will just leave yourself open to get smashed if he does it again.
Speeddemon105 that's the problem, the input lag makes him punch more than the combo. That's what they're complaining about.

Lani To recover you need more ki. The more ki you have, the easier it is to recover. If you have no ki, it’s almost impossible to recover.

The trick to the great ape is to always be on the right since the first punch he throws is his left hand if your always on the left he’s gonna hit you no matter what unless you’re far back enough

You guys need to either stay far back or remember that the fist to your left comes first so you need to go right and then left. And it was a pretty easy "boss" mission.

I don’t remember there being a “turn them around button” but if you dodge towards and past them and then attack (before the dodge ends) it’s an easy back attack
And to recover (the mash to recover thing), you have to have high energy, if you don’t, then it’s impossible to recover

My great ape guide:
960 damage combo = small ki shots
240 per hit = heavy ki shots
You can only fire off 4 heavy ki shots without getting hit.
240 * 4 = 960
THE ILLUSION OF CHOICE!!!
- Bright side is recovery time from heavy Ki blasts is much faster surprisingly, so using them on ape distance segments is best to decide if you're taking 3-4 shots that go. What's best on that is it's flat set damage in a huge chunk instead with a faster animation end than the fast appearing potshots that lock you in a combo animation making you vulnerable.
- in any of the game's QTE segments, you can pause to get your bearings and cheese the system
- Taunt the great ape by finding the areas just inside of his arm's reach, move right but not to the platform's edge, as he starts the attack animation to slam move your ass to the left and dodge before he slams, then rush in to attack.
Follow these steps as many times as needed until that big bitch is dead!
For the record, it's Gohan. Can't be Vegeta, Nappa, or Raditz because of their armor, and Goku never has his tail in Z. That leaves Gohan as the only possibility.
If I remember correctly, I did it by moving left until he was ready to punch (lifts the left arm) and then moved (not dodge) to the right, it let's you get up close to the left arm before the right comes down
So I loved this game when I was younger for two reasons: I could go on auto-pilot after learning to play& it looked cool. At the time, i did not care it was very grindy because it was an easy escape....thinking about it now idk how i managed to play through this 3 times
You found King Kong, he learned how to channel ki into a bad ass laser.
YamYam doesn't deserve this endless loop of getting wrecked by a Great Ape over and over again. If there is a XV3 in the future I hope he's the main character or has a cameo at least.

FYI, the combo escape is easier the higher your Ki gauge is.

I’ll tell you what. It’s gonna be a treat to watch them do the Baby battle. If I’m being honest, while the giant battles are kinda bland, they do kinda make me think that they had to start somewhere. Cause they would eventually get them right in the Xenoverse games. Those giant battles feel like what the anime was. Anyway back to Baby. I like it a little mainly cause the cinematic and quick time events in that battle actually mimic what happened in the GT anime. The flip, the ki blast barrage, you even go Super Saiyan against him!
Okay, I have to say it. Mash to recover DOES work. It has a higher change of working the more energy (that that guys instantly burn away by Spirit Boost) you have. So when you have none, yes it won't work. But it's only not working because you're kind of not great at the game

You OBVIOUSLY need to press the face buttons to the beat of Sweet Home Alabama while you press the shoulder buttons to the beat of Master of Puppets WHILE you spin both control sticks around! GOOOD, it's like you haven't played Ultimate Tenkaichi competitively for 23 and a half hours a day for 8 years straight!
TFS got it all wrong with the strong ki blast vs the spam blasting.
Spam blasting did 960
Strong blast did 240*3 = 720

I played this game inside and out as a kid, I loved it and I'm looking at it today as if it was a shit show.

(Double hint: your spirit gauge helps you recover faster. It helps to use 4 fingers, 2 on each hand, to mash the recovery buttons)

I really enjoyed playing this game yes there are obviously better dragon ball games but I had a lot of fun with it and grinded all of my stats to lvl b before I beat piccolo I think my stats were like at c when beat the great ape I just grinded and grinded I just got tired of losing this game is fun to play it can very annoying to get a grip of the game mechanics but once you do you can get through it pretty easily if you are willing to do a ton of grinding of and think I maxed out my stats before I beat the final boss
They think this is rage inducing but wait till you get to both shenrons

i found and exploit on this game where i waited for the ai to dash at me and i would dash diagonally to pass them and did a dash attack bc it would lock on to them and get a free combo
thats how i beat this game with low stats

And this time its not due to an outside choice... (tien was due to a skill issue, and Neize was due to them not knowing about the Debuff block items)
A few ideas for giant fights:
- You can charge up the Y blasts longer to do more damage
- Pausing the game is allowed during QTE’s, so if it’s really REALLY difficult you can cheese it out like that.
- Also, giant battles are decent for grinding

Maann, when the second QTE prompt appeared I immediately remembered why every giant boss fight was frustrating over any shred of reason. About Ultimate Tenkaichi we remember the rock-paper-scissors, and not this load of bull.
But hey, genuine TFS rage, complimented with a dose of Lani screams! It has been a while, and that's entertainment content... right?
If you train with 17 on one them you get a super called photon flash its one of highest damaging supers in the game , especially when your character gets maxed out.
