Zybatsu I think they thought it would do a lot better but it didn't an I remember a lot of people for whatever reason didn't like this, and want to release another one. This is one of my favorite dbz games of all time sadly this game online died after about a year :/.

And when i got my 360 summer of 09 RB was still in developement so this was all we had.
pro tip: keep an eye on opponent's fatigue bar, when it maxes out hit them once to make them catch their breath then hit them with your ultimate. you will never lose that way

This game did come out for PS3 and Xbox 360. People who still had the PS2 got Infinite World as consolation
GmePlyer infinite world was so good IMO
Only thing I hated about infinite world was the side stories where you were running through rings or w/e. Reminded me of superman 64.
Bende My Dende I think they thought it would do a lot better but people for whatever reason didn't like it, so they didn't enough funding for it, plus the online was dead after about a year if that.
Which is funny as Infinite World is the better game and the best of the Budokai gameplay style.

I imagine a bunch of Saibamen jumping onto each other and fusing into a King Saibamen or Saibaking as I think it was called in Dragon Ball Fusions. Which makes me wonder, could there be a Metal Saibamen somewhere?

Legends say that a Saibaman will go beyond, and achieve a form whose power will be unrivaled. It will be the Legendary Super Saibaman, and when it appears, there shall be a reckoning. The legends also say no one will see or hear from Yamcha from that point on.
This game was so underrated. It had some problems, but it was the first DBZ game on 360/PS3. Also it is the only game, that I know of, that Sean said Son Goku.
Also Dimps, the developers of Budokai and Xenoverse, made this. But slower Budokai? The only thing fast about Budokai was dragon rush. Just the flying was slow in this game.
Bende My Dende that's true and a lot of animation was recycled. I just think the developers spent too much time with the PS2. First DBZ game on the 360/PS3 came out in 08.

This game never interested me personally. Most gameplay I've seen was when Game Grumps played it. Didn't seem real bad just kind of dull. It's a LITTLE BIT ridiculous that they start you off with 3 characters though.
It can be dull to those who REALLY LIKE the Budokai games cause they're really similar in feel.

It's fun if you really learn how to play it, but if you attempt to spam like in the Tenkaichi games, you get destroyed and the game is slow. If you actually lean how to play, it's pretty fun to play, and very competitive.
I'll admit it I forgot this game was even a thing.

It actually really bums me out that we never got a Burst Limit 2. This was a great starting off point for a new Budokai-esque trilogy of games! Outside of improvements (such as the dash speed that Grant brought up), there was also the Buu saga that they skipped in this game, all those characters from that arc to bring in. And some of the movies too, as well as GT if they wanted to.
Side note, please tell me Kirran turns up at some point during this LP. You two are fine, but the three of you are better.
No shit, it doesn't go through the Buu arc. This is the TRUE canon! We all know Toriyama wanted it to end after the Cell arc.
All jokes aside, this game is nostalgic for me. I love the soundtrack.

Dude! Ten Shin Han was the FIRST to fight a Saibaman! He totally pwned it, and it was during this short fight that the saibaman used the acid attack! Then Vegeta killed it (he pointed at it, and interestingly it didn't explode but implode and fell appart gruesomely) for being a failure. Then it was Yamcha's turn and, well, we all remember what happened then.
I remember playing this game with my friends. We all just kept choosing Vegeta and spamming big bang attacks. Big bang attack was pretty much broken, and you could only counter it with another Big bang.

Tien actually gets the first saibaman fight, before Yamcha even, and vegeta ends up killing after it gets crippled just to be all "oh geez" he's ruthless"
Also, I think those Saibaman opening animations are ripped from Budokai 3.
Also, to be fair to Yamcha, while he probably wasn't as strong as Krillin or Tien by the saiyan arrival, he was at least strong enough to have beaten the saibaman, he just got way too cocky and turned his back
in addition, the Saibaman probably suicide attacked *because* the last one got killed. Basically, "die to them or die to me".
Sigilbreaker26 I think he was the only one who got at least a somewhat neutral to positive remark from Vegeta after he kills Yamcha.

Love how when a character is knocked down from the upper sky level (like raditz was) theres a frame in the animation where they stand up straight before hitting the ground. Also press and hold RT during interactive loading screen to make the dragon balls smash together.
Just wanted to take the time to acknowledge how perfectly the shaking of the logo synced with the screaming at 1:50.
The first Goku Super Saiyan transformation scene in this game is one of the best in the series.
I loved Burst Limit, the graphics were great and it played really well. I just wish that it was longer.
This makes my soul happy. I loved playing this game, it's fluid, it's clean and pretty, it just lacked content is all. Thanks for playing this game guys. Much love.

I remember Vegeta and Trunks being my most favorite characters in terms of attacks and combos, damn now I'm feeling nostalgic.
The Animations in that game is so FREAKING AWESOME
Here’s an interesting what if, what if a Saibaman survived the first encounter and went into hiding and grew more powerful and multiplied creating a giant army of super powered Saibamen.

This is probably my favorite DBZ fighting game. I love the way it looks, that opening theme is awesome, and the while the gameplay seems slow at first, there's a lot of awesome looking stuff to be done when you get into the meat of the mechanics and how the game works. That and the story mode here is great, letting you play as the appropriate character for the fight your in. It's just all sorts of magical to me!

I never could like these side view fighters more than tenkaichi style. It feels like it's just the same fighter they've been making over and over since the 90's, which does not at all capture the flair of DBZ like being able to move all around and cast moving Ki attacks did.

Had a 360 and got this game, and it was just a bad experience compared to the budokai series. It felt slower, the drama pieces were confusing to get to work half the time despite the triggers going off; slowed the fight down immensly. The fatigue meter was a stupid clinch mechanic that would often screw you over on higher difficulties; having to manage three different pieces in order to win was just a tedious task while trying to just fist fight would often get you stomped in your face. The game did not hold up well in my opinion. As Lani said in the beginning - Mediocre

Greg Molla I agree you needed skill to play this game people like that free roam mash two buttons but this more like SF style games. He is probably going to hate the new fighters game, all these fans will play and realize you need actually learn combos, moves, characters pair's an have strategy and not just left on depad push a button then super move 😂.
Still better than "guess what button to press" in Budokai 3. Could've been a literal dice roll and wouldn't be different.

Oh the nostalgia. This was the first Dbz game I ever bought and I got it when it came out to 360. Played the shit out of it for over a year until Raging Blast came out.

A Dood Xenoverse kinda looks like shit, the effects and the cg are good, but the character models are dated and everything else is bland and poorly rendered by today's standard.
Love how over two years later and there is a mention to there being a Super Saibamen in DBZ Kakarot since there is a whole side quest based off of it

My non-canon Saibaman transformation is that they sprout out mutated, plant-like creatured from their heads that look similar to Second Form Frieza's but with a ripped apart, upside-down Saibaman head husk for the head.
