Thanks! There is certainly some complicated bass playing on this album. I guess it's more complex rhythmically rather than fast notes though, like for example YYZ so maybe that's what people miss. Thanks for watching!
Man this sounds great, really liked your flamenco technique, so clean and powerful at the same time. I think this is one of the less appreciated Rush songs when it comes to bass, it is a blast to play and listen to. Keep up the amazing work, subscribed!
Great playing! I know the feeling- I got introduced to the mighty trio around 9th grade- went to the Roll the Bones tour before graduation. Then I was at college and my buddy and I couldn't wait to finish classes to go down to the music store to grab a copy of "Counterparts". A girl we didn't know would be interested in Rush wanted to come with us- we slapped the disc into that portable CD player connected to the cassette tape adapter and started it up. Had to restart to turn it up and catch the counting at the start of "Animate". We listened to that CD so much that year! (And since).
I haven’t seen anyone nail Geddy’s flamenco as flawlessly as you have! Amazing job, you gave this live version some extra punch that it certainly needed.
Man oh man that toan! Uncle Geddy has the busiest, yet tasteful basslines ever. I am absolutely enthralled with their musicianship on the live records (even more so after seeing them 17 times live since 1988)! Keep up the killer covers!
Love this song! I remember this was there opener when I saw them on the Snakes and Arrows tour. You’ve got insane chops man. Really enjoy your content. New subscriber here!!
Yes! SOOOO good, as always! I adore this song and the bass in it. You did an amazing playthrough and I kinda hear the song differently now with some of the flamenco flourishes and subtleties in your playing. Well done, as always! May I also say that your beard is a thing of beauty. :D Look forward to seeing the Rush cover band footage. Cheers!
I've been lacking on bass playing recently and this got me back to wanting to start doing it again! Also have you noticed any bow in the neck of your ged bass that can't be fixed by truss rod?
I'm happy that my channel makes you want to play more ^^ and I've never done anything with the truss rod on this bass. I wouldn't know what I was doing tbh
Wonderful work!
Thanks for watching! Always happy to see you here :)
wow and this is the rush era they crticize for not being complex enough?.....you nailed it man !

Yeah, the rush of hearing a new Rush album is something I miss eternally. Thanks for recreating the feels, bro!
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
You hit the nail on the head with this one. Like a baseball. You either hit it or you don't.Ezt nagyon elkaptad.

Thats awesome! Must have been so cool listening to counterparts as a brand new album. Thanks for watching my channel
Killer playing. Thanks for showing us how it's played.
Thanks for watching as always Constantine! Really appreciate your support

Hey dude. Thanks! Really appreciated. Hope the drumming is going well
Awesome...you nailed that "floating thumb" technique like Geddy uses.
@@roentgen571 thanks! Glad you liked it

Thats awesome! I managed to squeeze 8 shows in between 2007 until the end but I wish I had got more. Thanks for watching
I liked this video before I even watched it.,
Haha thanks. I hope it lived up to expectations then! :)

Very nice cover! The live version is killer, and your tone/technique is awesome. Keep it up man!
Thanks for watching! Glad you like the tone
Good job, as always! 👏🏻
Thanks!
Another flawless cover! Tone sounds a little different. Did you change anything?
I'm not sure, I often tweak things but generally its the same. Maybe the strings had more/less pop than the last one. Thanks for watching :)
Hemibass crushed another cover
In other news- the sky is blue
:D thanks for watching. Glad you liked it
