Marty Wright Homes in Bennettsville SC has a Fleetwood version with full finished sheetrock with the same floor plan. Sadly, no drawers in master vanity in it either. You should see the new Timbercreek Homes.
Make the lower cabinets be drawers over door's and put a pantry cabinet in the laundry room on that one wall to the left and that takes care of using up valuable storage in the kitchen.
Hey Nate! Good video! Not a bad price for the home. But of course my changes would add to the price. #1) I'd put a gas fireplace, or a wood-burning stove in the Living Room. #2) In the Kitchen I'd make that lone standing cabinet/counter space go all the way to each corner end so you'd have more counter space at least. And then I'd put the microwave on the counter over there. The microwave is too high for me being over the stove like that, and as I can't climb I can't even use a stool to reach it. I'd want a gas cook stove. The Utility Room is okay. But no room for a freezer and no pantry. They would have to be built into the garage, which in itself presents a problem! #3) The Master Bedroom is okay and I love the Closet. But the Master Bathroom is a problem. It would need to be rearranged. Tub is nice but I can't use a regular tub, as much as I'd love to. The commode area is not wide enough and the shower is to small. So as I said, rearrange it. Put in a Handicapped Tub and Shower Combo, and put the commode where there is plenty of room on both sides of it! I don't want to touch the walls on either side when sitting on it! Have a bigger counter area if there's going to be two sinks (the one in there should Not have more than one sink in it as there's No counter space to speak of with two sinks). And put in a small cabinet for linen and TP and stuff too. The shelves in there are nice, but would probably take up too much room once things are rearranged. #4) The other end of the house now. Again I would rearrange things. I saw the option for this area, but don't like it either. What I'd do is in between the furnace and guest bathroom, I'd but in a half bath only, taking as much room there as needed to make a comfortable one. Make a hallway all way through and have an outside door there. Then the rest of the space would be combined. In one area, as small as I could make it with my musical instruments, I'd put in a soundproofed Music Studio Room. The rest of the space would be my Library Office Room with a small sitting area with a small gas fireplace. #5) At the outside door I just installed, we'd build a garage with a storage unit and a Pantry with a freezer in it. #6) Carpets in the Living Room and Bedroom and the sitting area in the Library only. Of course Porches would be built as well. Some enclosed and some just covered. That's what I'd do. Don't know how much more it would cost. A lot, more than likely. Anyway, as I said, Nate, good video. God bless y'all.
Wonder how long and why that thing is? Set that up with a nice garage and a Courtyard style entrance with the breeze way between the house and the garage and that would look really Great
The shower curtain is there for 2 reasons...the main reason is most people hate glass shower doors...they are a pain to keep clean and nice looking, so a lot of people have a curtain hanging inside while showering...it does help alot...also it's for decorative purposes also....this single is nicely layer out...even the coloring is good...only 2 things I would do and that involves windows..one in guest bathroom and one in the very dark laundry room...but overall very nice...
They could have put the furnace in the laundry room. Instead of side-by-side washer and dryer they should use the modern modern full size stack set UPS. Make better use of your space elsewhere.
I've never understood why the secondary bedrooms in a single wide aren't the same size making the bathroom they share a bit bigger. There is no counter space.
At least put a narrow window that opens where the ceiling and wall meet in the bathrooms. Smallest bedroom, is like an afterthought better uses are ,tv room, hobby room, if sharing house, just somewhere to separate from each other. Roommate can use closet with other bedroom closet.
The closets are way too small in the 2 bedrooms the closet in the master is so long and narrow you'd have to fight the hanger to reach the back of it. and the furnace in the hall near the living room would be loud and hard to hear over.
Such a beautiful layout but then an idiot created a narrow closet in the master bedroom, causing the whole thing to be garbage, in other words "TRASH"! What many or some not realized is that when you hang your cloths up in that very narrowed closet is that you will have to crawl inside there to pick out a shirt because the cloths are widen, taken up most of the space in that sorry crappy closet. Just sharing my honest opinion, I'm pretty sure many will agree with me on this part. You have a nice day and great job on the video. Stay safe! :)
The furnace in the bedroom needs to be gone. Even the closet kids room needs to be bigger. Makes it a poor design choice in this home. The master bedroom plus bathroom is much nicer. Just lacking storage space in this home.
