As a former Solitaire Homes employee, 20 plus years on the manufactured (builder) side, from working as a laborer in the plant to the clerical side in the office I will say Solitaire has been the (Finest), best quality pick over All manufactured Homes on the market! Period! 2x6 walls excellent insulation throughout from ceiling to floors, sturdy floor (plywood) floors that is. Cabinets built and hand stained at the manufacturer facility (complete), real wood!!! Excellent plumbing features, sheetrock walls instead of wallboard. Even the wooden dowel rods in the closet are cut and fitted right at the factory. The work and love put into the designs of these homes in order for the customer to have quality over bells and whistles! For the owner of a Solitaire, it's much appreciated. My parents had a Solitaire. My husband and I have a Solitaire. We are currently searching for a new Solitaire. I love, love, love the 2 master bathrooms! ❤ This may be our next home!
These home are truly amazing! It is awesome to hear from someone that has built these homes. Thank you for all the work you have to done to build our homes :)
Two master suites on opposite ends are practical for retirees. I like the 2 by 8 floor joists for added strength. The Vinyl floor tiles are practical as well. I would like vinyl floor tiles through out and no carpets. Remove the entry cabinets, hall desks, swinging doors and cabinets that don’t reach the ceiling. Kitchen cabinets should reach ceiling as far as possible. One big sink in kitchen. not 2 little ones. The big tub should be a free-standing soaking tub that is easier for in and out. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets in white as an option. I Like Master Suites on Opposite Ends. I am glad to. See this floor plan. Good Job!
Great tour! I would remove cabinet at entrance. Don't like how the cabinet's are done for corner sink. Seems like an after thought. I like the flow of the home. You did a great job on the video.
Love this. I would opt to change the color scheme of cabinets, and I would prefer to have no carpet, but that is my own personal choice. Plenty of room! Only major drawback for me, is the placement of the air vents. I feel teeth should be closer to the wall (if not available for the ceiling?
I would like more drawer banks in the kitchen and a level countertop. Pocket doors into the laundry and bathrooms would also be nice. I also would prefer a coat closet when you walk in the front door.
I love these houses, I wish they made more two bedrooms like this with dual Masters like that. With one on each end. And I do like the closet in the second bedroom better and I think it's because they put in the shelves. I also think it would look better if they just did some sort of vinyl plank throughout the whole house of the same kind instead of having carpet and different kinds of flooring. Otherwise I think it's freaking gorgeous and I wish I could buy one today
Very nice ! Liked & subscribed. Love your picks and enthusiasm. I have always loved mobile homes. I'm glad to see them finally getting the respect and admiration they deserve. Super efficient too. Nice square footage too. 🧡🙏🏻
Nice layout, I like the office area but way too much brown. Nowadays laminate flooring is just as affordable as carpet and lighter cabinets would really update the look. Also swinging doors should only be in westerns. Also love the large rooms and closets!

The construction and walls up really nice in this house. The floors look like 1980s. I think the laminate floor through the whole house would be much better the wood on all the cabinets look like finish plywood. The mirror and the second master bath is not over the sink. It looks odd. There’s things that I would change from my own personal taste, but the construction does look good. I don’t know what the prices is
@@TexomaHomes if you want to make a really cool looking house use half of a Doublewide that’s about 18 feet wide, but have the roof slanted so on the front side of the house you can have large windows with lots of light and a high ceiling on one side of the house. Hope that makes sense, I had a little bit of mid century modern flare
I live in 16x80 2 berm, 2 bath mobile home. Some things I don't like about this home: 1. There is no entryway closet. I don't have one either and I hate the mess of coats and boots being visible all winter. 2. My brother's mobile home also has registers in the floor in really stupid places like this one does. Right in traffic paths, and it weakens the floor. They also get banged up and look like hell. Mine are against the walls under windows which is much nicer.
I really like the layout. The kitchen set up is great, however the cabinet, countertop, and floor is just to 80's. If there are lighter wood or paint options for the cabinets, options to replace the dark appliances, options to upgrade countertops, and option to replace flooring then I could work with this.

That is a good question. I have not figured that out let. Some of the floor plans have pop outs on the back so I am not sure if it has something to do with it.
I like these 18' wide single wide homes. This is nice, but I do have some ideas and a question or two. First, any home, single, double or even a triple wide modular needs a fireplace. Not an electric one, but a wood burning fireplace, preferably with a gasline stubbed out in it for a gas starter or gas logs. The single wide homes could use a small woodburning stove fitted for gas logs. I'm an old guy, and really can't cut wood any longer but there's always a need for emergency or supplemental heating. This could be a reasonably priced addition to this package. In the kitchen I noticed the vent over the stove has no obvious vent to the outside. I suggest cabinets to the ceiling and a vent hood to the outside. I'm not crazy about the closet entry in the secondary bedroom coming from the bathroom, I worry about possible mold and mildew on someone's clothes, but I could live with it. And finally, I believer the manufacturer should offer a Senior Package, I call it the Geezer package because I have a sense of humor, for the master bath. Some of us, no matter how nice the large garden tubs are, would never be able to get out of one!! In my case, my knees wouldn't allow it's use. BUT we could all benefit from being able to soak in a tub, so I would suggest replacing both the tub and shower with an optional walk in tub, like Terry Bradshaw advertised for a while. I think it's American Standard that has the fastest drain time for those tubs which is a plus for most. I like that the vents are in the floor, I like to close the bedroom off in the winter, maybe uncover it a bit, open a window and turn on a fan or two!! I'd probably opt for a window unit A/C installed in the wall so I could cool the room further in the summer too. Anyway, now to hit the lottery for a modest but substantial win!! I enjoyed the tour, but you could be a little more animated with it too. Thanks for reading my comments, you asked for ideas.
All great ideas! Not to get the manufacturer on the same page :) I like the Geezer package! lol You can get a wood-burning fireplace in the double wides for sure :) I'm sad I'm not animated enough for you :( I have been known to be a joker but I take my home tours seriously! hehe

Cute place. I would remove the storage that's at the front entry, reminds me of a doctor's office. Secondly, paint the cabinets a lighter color, and in the bathroom as well. Just to modernize it a bit

I do not like the raised countertop for the kitchen sink. Would replace the desk area with standard cabinetry to use for pantry space. Standard door instead of saloon doors. Since hall bath contains the bedroom closet, I would eliminate that door and have the door in the bedroom leading to the closet. Great space in this house, we are old and only need two bedrooms! 😁
Hi....I would get rid of all carpet..the vents would be on the ceiling.. Cabinets should be lighter, stainless steel Appliances... house it to choppy I would redo it
It's know that Solitaire builds the best home in the industry. I just wish they would update the interior fixtures, flooring, and cabinets. The same finsihes could be found a decade ago. If I was to buy one I would rip out the flooring, fixtures, and countertops. That's one reason I've kept looking because I hate to spend all that money on a new house that should be already up to date.
You’re in luck we have all new decor, hardware and flooring. Take a look at this video to see the new updated home. th-cam.com/video/mROQPXTFqRw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fES36JyEiYDePUVa
Consider furniture so ppl can get an idea of how much furniture can fit. Also, find softer colors . There are too many dark colors . I like the his and her closets.
I honestly can’t think of one home I have seen in the past 5 years that had white appliances. It’s just something our customers want. What did you mean by back wall cabinets?
That’s a funny reason to not like saloon doors. The house is made of wood so not sure how much shutting the door would help. Fortunately, the saloon doors are no longer available.
No high flat ceiling, cheap trim, top cabinets are low because walls aren't high on sides. I do like the laundry cabinets with rod. Cheap swing out back door. Needs storm door. Had fake Masonite siding on a Horton. Many 30 year old abandoned ones the siding turned into cotton-like cardboard. I don't trust the siding. Rather have vinyl siding.
This home has enough square footage to have a kitchen island open to the living room. The corner sink is nice in the kitchen however, the kitchen needs to be laid out differently to accommodate a kitchen island. The upper and lower kitchen cabinets in the entryway look ridiculous--who would want that in their entryway? It looks like a utility room. Instead, a nice piece of furniture, like a curio cabinet would make the home look inviting there. Correct the kitchen and entryway and this could be a really grand home.
As a designer and contractor: Cons: exhaust vent should go through the roof not the side. Siding, not a fan Cabinets - dates the home Appliances are dated. Carpet is a negative Front door should have been cottage style door Kitchen bar. Dated Counter Top. To dark Small kitchen sink Flooring in kitchen, unappealing The laundry style door , unnecessary and dated Master closet. Just the standard in most of these homes. Master bath, dated shower/ tube cabinets- unappealing Skylight- will leak in time Pros : guest closet Molding throughout 2 master bedrooms
What type of siding do you prefer? There are a ton of updates to the decor and style. This is an older video. Some of the stuff I agree was dated, but the new decor solves a lot of that. This house does not have a skylight. For the pros you forgot to mention plywood floors, 2 x 8 floor joists, 4’ oc outriggers, solid ash cabinets and drawers, vaulted ceiling, and full tape and textured walls.
I Love the solitare homes but there are somethings I don't like and that is the vents in the floors, the saloon doors in utility room and I do not like.the garden tubs would rather have a big walk in shower
I really like the layout of this home, but the corner sink countertop situation is horrible! And who in the world picked the 80s style finishes? The brown carpet and the tiles that look like a filthy floor. It’s awesome that it has drywall and the size is nice. The closets are all good. But it could sure be prettier with different finishes.
They are nice but outdated and haven't changed the look in ten+ years. I remember going to an older couples Solitaire home in 2010 and it looked just like this but thinking it was a three bedroom. Flat ceiling's, pot lighting and hidden hinges are the newer options.
I agree! The finishes were awful, the Laminate counter were ugly. As was the carpeting and vinyl tiles. I know these houses have laminate counter tops but why those? I agree it really looked dated. Nice layout though.
You would have to speak with a retailer for pricing. I do not sell these homes retail, so pricing will not be advertised on this channel. I sorry for the inconvenience. If you live in OK, TX, NM, AZ, LA, or even CO; we have retailer that can assist.

We don’t offer a microwave vent hood in this model. A microwave can be placed on the counter next to the refrigerator.
I really love the cabinets. However, I have never been a fan of the garden corner tubs and carpet.
We can now order without carpet!! and delete the tub
I didn't like where the heating vents was located in the living room. But the home was really nice.
Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you like the home :)
Yes, we normally place furniture. It sold so fast we didn't have time to put any in it. Next time :)
White appliances should be an option. Why no back wall to cabinets?
I honestly can’t think of one home I have seen in the past 5 years that had white appliances. It’s just something our customers want. What did you mean by back wall cabinets?
Don't like vent in kitchen right in front of cabinet
Well, what did you like about the home?
Don't like the saloon doors In the utility room. If you have a fire in that area you can't shut the door to keep the fire from spreading.
That’s a funny reason to not like saloon doors. The house is made of wood so not sure how much shutting the door would help. Fortunately, the saloon doors are no longer available.
I like it except for the carpet, the tile and the texture walls.
Thank you for the feedback Gail :)
I would prefer no carpet anywhere 😊😊
We can do that
Don't like the dryer vent in the front.
Thank you for your feedback!!!
This one’s does not have Masonite siding. It has LP Smart Panel :)
I l[very the kitchen
😎
Love the layout. Hate the saloon doors and black appliances.
Agreed! but the door can come down and the appliances are removable. Super easy to upgrade!
Don't like vents in the floor .. that's a big no
One day maybe 🤔 would you give up the vaulted ceiling for the ceiling vents?
This home has enough square footage to have a kitchen island open to the living room. The corner sink is nice in the kitchen however, the kitchen needs to be laid out differently to accommodate a kitchen island.
The upper and lower kitchen cabinets in the entryway look ridiculous--who would want that in their entryway? It looks like a utility room. Instead, a nice piece of furniture, like a curio cabinet would make the home look inviting there.
Correct the kitchen and entryway and this could be a really grand home.
Thank you for your feedback Gail! You have some great suggestions.
Different flooring . Can't have carpet
I agree, I think we may see no carpet option soon!
Hate the angled ceilings!
Really? Most people like them. If not the ceiling is lower.
As a designer and contractor:
Cons: exhaust vent should go through the roof not the side.
Siding, not a fan
Cabinets - dates the home
Appliances are dated.
Carpet is a negative
Front door should have been cottage style door
Kitchen bar. Dated
Counter Top. To dark
Small kitchen sink
Flooring in kitchen, unappealing
The laundry style door , unnecessary and dated
Master closet. Just the standard in most of these homes.
Master bath, dated shower/ tube cabinets- unappealing
Skylight- will leak in time
Pros : guest closet
Molding throughout
2 master bedrooms
What type of siding do you prefer? There are a ton of updates to the decor and style. This is an older video. Some of the stuff I agree was dated, but the new decor solves a lot of that. This house does not have a skylight.
For the pros you forgot to mention plywood floors, 2 x 8 floor joists, 4’ oc outriggers, solid ash cabinets and drawers, vaulted ceiling, and full tape and textured walls.
It's still a trailer
Thank you for your feedback
I Love the solitare homes but there are somethings I don't like and that is the vents in the floors, the saloon doors in utility room and I do not like.the garden tubs would rather have a big walk in shower
They are awesome homes! I know there are a few things that are out of date but I have had customers upgrade once them get a feel for the home.
no carpet!!!
We can order without carpet if you would like!!
There are a few upgrades we would all love for sure. They are finally changing the cabinet colors!
The desk areawould have made a great walk in pantry. Ootherwise not impressed with that kitchen
The kitchen already has a pantry in it
They are nice but outdated and haven't changed the look in ten+ years. I remember going to an older couples Solitaire home in 2010 and it looked just like this but thinking it was a three bedroom. Flat ceiling's, pot lighting and hidden hinges are the newer options.
Yes, that would be the HD384. That is our most popular floor plan!
I agree! The finishes were awful, the Laminate counter were ugly. As was the carpeting and vinyl tiles. I know these houses have laminate counter tops but why those? I agree it really looked dated. Nice layout though.
Good news!! all new decor and now no carpet :)
I don’t like the kitchen cabinets didn’t have the drawers above all the cabinets.
thank you for your feedback
House looks so dated. Trash the carpet. Why no starting price???
You would have to speak with a retailer for pricing. I do not sell these homes retail, so pricing will not be advertised on this channel. I sorry for the inconvenience. If you live in OK, TX, NM, AZ, LA, or even CO; we have retailer that can assist.
