Just want to give you an update.. I used bread flour instead of APF and it was so amazing too! Super lambot din! waaahhh super happy. Even though the siopao is not hot na, ang soft and lambot pa din ng dough nya and the taste is so perfect!!.. Thank you sa recipe!

Siguro po may problema sa yeast na ginamit nyo. Bumula po ba sya nung nilagyan nyo nga sugar at maligamgam na tubig? kung hindi, expired na yung yeast. Kung ok naman yung yeast, baka kulang sa oras yung pag alsa ng dough.
@@sandauy3924 Hindi ko rin sure kasi depende sa nagtitinda. Yung sa mga bakery supplies sa palengke or sa mga supermarket ok naman kadalasan. Yun lng naman yung pag test nya pag bumula yung yeast ibig sabihin ok yun buhay pa yung yeast.
I've done the bread part to exact specs but I can never get that bright white hue to the bread- it is always off white, smooth and shiny or almost a light beige after steaming. It is never like the texture or whiteness you see in restaurants (Kowloon House anyone?). I have seen recipes that call for Lye water and I do not see that in yours so I wonder if this was omitted? I would rather not use Lye as it is a poison so I wonder if I just steamed the buns too long.
If you want to make a very white bread for siopao, there is a special flour you can buy online like lazada or shopee. I think it is called siopao flour.

Hi, ask lang ako correct nman ang ingredients ko.. Nag bubble din ang yeast mixture. Pero masyadong sticky yung kalabasan ng dough ! 😥 Mahirap i form into a ball.. Dumidikit sa kamay ko even if may oil na kamay ko.. 😢 After nag rise, hindi ko pa rin ma form into ball kasi masyadong sticky pa rin..
Dapat siguro shortening gamitin nyo baka yung oil na ginamit hindi yata pwede or siguro kulang pa sa alsa yung dough. Depende rin yata sa oil na gagamitin pero para sure shortening gamitin nyo.

Ask ko po bakit matigas minsan ang siopao, hindi sya ganung kalambot, cake flour na ginamit ko. Salamat po sa sagot.
Depende siguro sa flour na ginagamit. Try nyo kaya yung flour na pang siopao may nakita ako sa lazada baka ok yun.
