I promise to keep some videos coming, especially when we head north to Alaska next spring. I’ll likely build a dinghy this winter to carry on too, plus crab davit, downriggers, upholstery and all that stuff.
A huge congratulation towards your incredible amazing boat build. I've watched all your episodes thru the years and was amazed about your skills, tips & ideas. To be honest, I've stolen some of them into my own project a 1985 Sea Ray CC, transforming into a centre console off shore fish boat. Good luck on the seas!
Thank you! That means a lot. As they say, you don’t have to be crazy to build a boat like this but it helps. Nothing special here except determination to get it done. Today was spent on the ocean and I finally feel the full satisfaction of this effort. Take care!
The bar was pretty flat, just foggy as heck. Today was a bit foggy north but cleared and was gorgeous and flat. Fishing not so great but that’s ok, boating was fantastic. It will be fun continuing customizations. I was doing 33 mph on 2’-3’ swell no problem. At 25 mph I was burning 3.5 gph. So maneuverable, super easy to come in on crab pots. Much easier than my 20’ Thunder Jet was. Best boat I’ve ever driven.
@@rhenryinoregon awesome. Glad you’re happy with it. I know what you mean about not catching. I built a micro-skiff for fishing the flats and so far I haven’t caught a thing from it, but I don’t care because it sure is fun just to ride around in something you built yourself.
I scrounged them! I got them from a guy who was going to restore an old Bellboy and had them custom made, then abandoned the project. They are very nice. For $50, I took a chance they would work and they do (mostly). I’ll modify the two in the cabin to be a little narrow. Otherwise, lucky find.
Thanks and happy sailing
Congratulations!
Thank you!
I feel your joy.😊
All your skilled hard work paid off nicely. Love the boat. It’s like the end of an era

Wonderful!!
Thanks! So rewarding but it’s nice to finally have a break to build other stuff.

I'll miss your video, happy sailling🛥
I’ll keep them coming. I’ll have a lot of smaller projects to really get the boat polished up and fully outfitted.
“Very Comfortable” is a great compliment. Really nice job. She looks like she rides very nice. How was the trip over the bar?

Hi Randy, congratulations on your boat! I noticed the berth cushions which look real nice - did you make those, or outsource them?
